Staff were friendly. Rooms spacious and very clean. Good plumbing. Free good WIFI. Close to airport (10 minutes away). 10 minute walk to center of town so close to shops and restaurants. Quiet. Pleasant place to relax after being in desert or off-roading. Would stay here again if in Layounne.

A basic but adequate hotel in central El Aaiún / Laâyoune. By western standards, it would probably be rated as a two-star, or perhaps even a three-star on the lower end of the scale. The room was of average size and reasonably clean, but very outdated. The bed was comfortable and the sheets clean, but all furniture looked and felt very old. There was a fridge, and a safe but staff was unable to find the key. Wifi was fast and reliable. The password is omar2580, the passwords posted in the room are not valid anymore. The bathroom was equally dated, but there was ample hot water and the water pressure in the shower was good. The bathroom included a bathtub with a handheld shower. A very basic breakfast was included in the room rate, and was served from 7 to 10 on the top floor. There was freshly squeezed orange juice, plain omelettes, youghurt and a few bakery items. Otherwise, there is no restaurant at the hotel anymore. Reception staff are friendly and well-intentioned, and speak English. The hotel is located on Avenue 24 November, 500 meters from the central roundabout. The airport is only a few minutes away by taxi (20 MAD), and you can actually walk there in 25 minutes, too. Price wise, the hotel was cheap, as should be with these standards.

This is the best and newest hotel in the city of Laayoune. Staff is very helpful and rooms are clean. Breakfast is weak. You may find some cakes and pastry as a breakfast. But I was happy during with my 3 days stay in a suite at the hotel.

Nice sized rooms but not fully trained personnel. The gentleman handling the parking is very kind though. It would benefit of a more welcoming reception area and set-standards for responsiveness, cleaning routines, maintenance of room equipment, etc.

Small Appartments actually, with small kitchen big fridge 2TVs with hundreds of Arabic mostly channels, large living room area with 2 sofas, full bathroom and small visitors WC. But... Only one small and large towel, nothing in the fridge, only one TV remote, and the worst of all was the non adjustable water temperature in the shower. Cold and hot was coming at will, turning my morning shower in an ordeal. In addition there was a malfunctioning light sensor that was turning on and off the bathroom lights at will.

When I was going to West Sahara, people told me that everybody are really hospitable because they descend from nomads. I could feel it when I arrived at this hotel. Sometimes the hotel you stay it´s one of the best parts of the whole trip. It was like that staying at Grande Care hotel. Not so many times I felt so good and so welcomed staying in this hotel. The owner couldn´t speak English, but even like that he was very nice and always calling the staff that works for him and that speaks a perfect English. They explained everything I would see, do, walk around. Well, my friend. They were really nice and, even I staying one day, It seems that we are friends from decades! Wanna an advice? Go to Laayoune and stay at Grande Care hotel!

This hotel and the adjoining Hotel Rio are operated as a single property. Both buildings are new and have fairly large rooms. No heating (a problem in the winter), and "the credit card machine is broken" (in other words, the hotel does not want to accept credit cards - they take cash only). Located in a quiet area. Beds are very hard, even by Moroccan standards. Staff are very poorly trained, with no understanding of the hotel / hospitality business at all. That notwithstanding, it is suitable for a business traveler,

This once top hotel in Laayoune still has authentic charm. Cool corridors, arched doorways into a large courtyard, huge lounge area with wonderful original ceiling and friendly helpful staff. Food: We had dinner at the hotel. We were the only diners that night. The menu is in French and as such the cuisine heavily influenced. Fish soup was ok, the fish fillet and beef we respectively ordered as main courses was surprisingly good. Breakfast although basic had some local bread type products which were very tasty, jams, yoghurt, good orange juice, coffee, plus the most amazing fresh goats cheese I have ever had, which had actually been made by the guy serving us. I usually hate goats cheese but really liked this. Eggs were cooked to order. All sufficient to start the day. The room: We had room 109 on the ground floor. Initially it looked good with its marble floor and fancy sink and tap. Free bottled water. Firm bed and comfortable pillows. However upon closer inspection the bath needed a good clean and the overhead shower just dribbled, to be fair there was a hand held shower which was with lots of hot water. The wardrobe had just three plastic hangers, no safe and was dusty, as were the drawers. There was lots of dust and cobwebs under the bed, one power socket was hanging out of the wall. The room opened onto a garden courtyard but was unpleasant to use due to nesting pigeons and lots of pigeon poo. This dirty hotel could be great again with very little cost by utilising a proper clean up regime and some basic maintenance. It is quite sad that it has been left to decline to such a standard.
