Reviewed By genevatopreviewerThe Chalet is set in a magical location in the col des Aravis with amazing views of the Mont Blanc summit. The rooms are very cosy, comfortable, with views and sleep levels are second to none thanks to absolute silence prevailing around the chalet (zero traffic at night). It is a short drive to La Clusaz village centre (5-7 minutes tops). As if that was not enough, the restaurant dishes quality are absolutely sublime and are served more than generously. Pick the Lamb stew as it is probably the best I have ever eaten (you can even swap the polenta that comes with it for their amazing truffled flavoured mashed potato. But what makes this whole experience memorable is the attention from the staff who are catering to every need always with a smile and a good spirit. Highly recommended!!!

Perfect if you have a car and are beginner skier
Reviewed By MidoriyaThis place is hard to get by public transport. From Geneva airport, you take oui bus to Megevé and then only way to come here is by cab, which is not cheap. Le plan is so tiny, they have only one mini market which opens limited time and one or two restaurants. There's hourly shuttle bus to la giettaz but again, that's so small with only few shops and cafés. I visited their visitor centre only to be told the only one museum is for groups only and their church was locked. Absolutely nothing to do. Ski is fine and sure the lift is in front of this place, but it's at the very edge of the Mont Blanc area and you have to take other drag lifts etc to reach anywhere and because there's only one way to come back to la giettaz by ski, that run is particularly bad if the snow is not great. When I visited, other guests were mainly from Belgium and France, some from Germany. They come by carful of food, etc, and la giettaz is perfect for beginners or small kids to play in the snow. They have nice snowshoe course as well. The host is nice couple they really look after you and their new spa is nice bonus after a day skiing, even though I found the layout of it bit strange. Room I stayed was very clean, well equipped but bit cold to begin with, because the heating was off until I got there in the evening. So, if you want to have quite ski holiday amongst local people and if you have a car to explore the area a bit, yes go ahead, but if you don't drive and want to have more variety of slopes, this is not the place for you, even nothing is wrong with this accommodation. Oh, wifi is only available at the reception area.

Reviewed By Melissa BEn tant que vacancière, je déconseille fortement de faire affaire avec cette dame. Nous avions réservé une semaine de vacances dans ce chalet entre les fêtes de fin d'année (période très prisée). Malheureusement, pour de graves soucis de santé, nous n'avons pu nous y rendre. Nous avons été tout à fait transparents avec la propriétaire en la prévenant dès que possible (28 jours avant notre arrivée). Elle qui m'avait semblé plutôt sympathique avant le versement de l'acompte s'est alors montrée désagréable et sans une once d'empathie. Pourtant, nous avons eu la gentillesse de lui proposer de trouver quelqu'un pour reprendre notre séjour afin qu'elle ne perde pas d'argent sur cette période. Elle nous a alors menacés de nous faire payer l'intégralité du séjour car elle risquait de se retrouver sans locataires (période la plus prisée de l'année, je le rappelle...). Nous nous sommes donc mis d'accord : nous devions lui trouver quelqu'un rapidement et elle s'engageait de son côté à ne pas redemander un acompte aux nouveaux locataires (ce qui nous permettait de nous arranger avec les nouveaux locataires pour récupérer notre acompte). Ainsi, elle ne perdait pas un centime et nous pouvions récupérer les 150€ engagés. Je me suis démenée à trouver de nouveaux locataires, et dans la journée même, j'ai trouvé des personnes pour reprendre notre séjour, je les ai mis en contact. La personne était prête à payer la totalité de la somme immédiatement. Malheureusement, la propriétaire a alors fait preuve d'une incroyable fourberie : elle a délibérément refusé ces nouveaux locataires que je lui avais trouvé, comme nous l'avions convenu, afin d'en prendre d'autre pour pouvoir encaisser un acompte supplémentaire et bien sûr, pour nous empêcher de récupérer notre argent. Lorsque notre ami nous a indiqué qu'elle refusait la location, j'ai essayé de l'appeler pour comprendre ce qui se passait : elle a alors ignoré mes appels, a ouvert mes messages mais n'y a jamais répondu. Aucune réponse, aucun retour, rien. Quelle honnêteté ! Je me permets donc de poster ce commentaire pour éviter à d'autres personnes d'avoir une mauvaise expérience avec cette propriétaire fourbe et malhonnête et qui n'assume absolument pas ses actes ni ses paroles.
