The cultural hub of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur is visually defined by the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, which, at 88 stories high, are the tallest twin buildings in the world and a vision of modern architecture. On the flip side, the Sri Mahamariamman is the oldest Hindu temple in Malaysia, its façade a colorful totem pole of iconography. Following the major redevelopment of the original Hotel Equatorial Kuala Lumpur, the new EQ has taken its place as a stylish addition to the city’s charm. The prime Golden Triangle location makes popular attractions like the famous Petronas Twin Towers and Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, the award-winning shopping destination with over 550 retail outlets and restaurants, just a short walk away. Whether it's shopping, sightseeing, restaurants or nightlife, everything is conveniently close-by. The hotel is also home to some of the city’s most highly-regarded restaurants and bars. Nipah, the all-day dining restaurant serves pan-Asian and Western cuisine. Kampachi is an award-winning restaurant that has been around for over four decades, offering the finest of Japanese cuisine. Étoile Bistro is a rebirth of the previous street-side bistro, now swankier than ever. Bottega Lounge serves Mediterranean bites with daily afternoon tea. Its signature rooftop Sky51 is the next landmark entertainment destination under the stars - Sabayon is a contemporary European fine dining restaurant with an award-winning wine list and Blue is the bespoke speakeasy rooftop bar and lounge with tantalizing cocktails and delicacies. The 5-star accredited hotel is also Green Building Index (GBI) Gold-certified and is among the most energy and resource-efficient buildings in the city.
Besides the beautiful gym, sauna, and pool, what made my experience at EQ Hotel stand out was the wonderful service from the staff. Special thanks to Chef Ali for his hospitality and Kiki for showing me around at Sky51.

Hotel Olympic Malaysia is a theme hotel authorized by the Olympic Council Malaysia. It is located in Kuala Lumpur city centre, next to the upcoming world's second tallest skyscraper-PNB118 Tower, right beside the Merdeka (SBK17) MRT station. The hotel has a total of 155 guest rooms, each with its own colour pattern theme. The hotel also has a rainforest restaurant, a bar and a meeting room
After more than a year since taking a proper holiday with our autistic son due to Covid fears, we decided to take a nice staycation with him at Hotel Olympic after reading some rave reviews about the rooms and the cafe. We were particularly interested in the Junior Suite with the cute double-decker bed/playhouse since it would be a fun addition to the room for our son to enjoy. However, we were put off from the minute we entered the lobby to check-in. Another reason why we chose this hotel for our staycation was that we had seen pictures of the "instagrammable" cafe which also serves good and affordable food. That would have been the icing on the cake for a staycation since we wouldn't have to leave the premises for meals. But when we checked in, we inquired about the cafe and we were flatly told that it was closed for a private function. No apologies, no consolation at all. We asked if we could order and take the food to our room and again, we were just told no, the entire cafe is closed for the function. No one from the hotel had the courtesy or bothered to inform the guests staying on those dates that the cafe would be out of commission beforehand. Had I known, I would have changed my dates so that I could actually enjoy the hotel fully. On that note, the person at the reception just told us to Grab our food, meaning to order via the runner service. Again, no apologies for the inconvenience, but instead we were warned to not stain the sheets or we were liable for the damage. We were talked to as though we were little kids visiting the mean stepmom's house, and not like paying customers. Despite taking a room meant to be occupied by a family with young kid(s), we could not enjoy any family time. We were constantly paranoid that even the slightest oily hand on the sheets would mean saying goodbye to our deposit or more. We could not rest unless our son was also asleep since we were afraid he would stain the linens while we slept. We definitely did not have any rest at all during our stay after chasing him around to ensure his hands were clean. We were planning on adding more days to our staycation if we liked the place, but we ended up cutting it short and looking for another hotel to enjoy some well-deserved time off. Here are the good and the bad of Hotel Olympic: GOOD - nicely done rooms, comfortable and great for kids - clean - well-equipped - affordable prices/value for money - location is somewhat strategic, but not very close to restaurants - great decor, perfect for pictures BAD - cramped bathroom - hostile in welcoming guests/conveying messages to guests. We did not feel welcome after being told we could not eat at the cafe despite the front desk displaying all the tasty offers and foodstuff - warning about staining sheets was not friendly - the window right next to the ramp to climb up to the top bunk of the kids' bed could not be locked, which is very dangerous; especially considering that the room is for a family. It is an accident waiting to happen - the roof of the playhouse fell off, exposing nails - only one elevator was functioning, and it was very slow All in all, for the hotel alone, I would recommend it to others. It's nice and cozy, definitely worth another stay. However, based on the service, I would not recommend it. Some may say that I am asking too much from a 3-star hotel, but I've stayed at other 3-star hotels and they treat guests much better. I understand taking care of the hotel property and ensuring they are not damaged, and I am all for that. I will definitely take responsibility and pay up if I caused any damage to the hotel property, but the hotel should also train their front desk employees to be more polite to guests, and not treat them like they are staying for free. Good service can be the difference between a forgettable stay and a fantastic experience. Good manners are free, while bad manners can bear a heavy price, especially in the service industry. I hope the hotel will do more to improve its customer service.

Pavilion Hotel Kuala Lumpur Managed by Banyan Tree features 325 spaciously appointed rooms and suites, and three specialty outlets. An elegant pillar-less ballroom and six multi-event spaces all with natural daylight are available. With direct connection to Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, guests are able to enjoy premier luxury retail temptations and entertainment.
I booked this hotel on the premise the views & the bathtub was available in every room. It's definitely not the case, and I didn't get an explanation why not. The rooms are very basic, and nothing "Banyan Tree" about it Whilst the hotel is within the Pavilion Mall, it's not as accessible. You'll find out when you're there.

This is not my 1st stay at your good hotel. Previously, I was really impressed with the high standard of service and facilities but not this time. Upon checking in to room number 2102, immediately I noticed that the toilet bowl was not thoroughly cleaned with disgusting stain left by previous occupant(s). Although the room was for double occupancy, there were only 1 bathrobe and 1 pair of low quality disposable slippers compared to a better pair of slippers with your nice hotel logo in my previous stays. In the bathroom, there were 2 bath towels but no hand towels. I had to request before I receive the hand towels on the NEXT day. On the next day, there was NO housekeeping. When I requested for housekeeping, then only I was told at 5pm that the hotel do not provide daily housekeeping! Breakfast service was terrible. There was not enough staff and tables were not cleared. Some late guests had to clear the used utensils to other tables on their own in order to have a table to eat. The breakfast menu was very limited and not replenished in time. All in, this is the worst hotel experience I had in an Ascot hotel.

The staff are very friendly. Contactless check in. When we checked in, the receptionist notice we with our 11 year old daughter, so he said he will inform the housekeeping to arrange the sofa bed to be covered pillow and blanket. Once we checked in, the housekeeping came to prepare the sofa bed. Thanks to housekeeping and the receptionist Kiki. Room is very clean. Everything about the room is very nice. Spacious. Separated shower and toilet and dressing room. Complimentary drinks in the fridge. The luggage was sent in by concierge a bit late more than half an hour. So we couldn't get fresh up once we checked in. The hotel is nearby to petronas twin tower. Walking distance. Very strategic location. Swimming pool can use until 9.00pm. Very nice view from swimming pool. I love the environment. Can have your snack meal there. Can get the menu there. First day my daughter was in the pool, we were starving couldn't have our lunch because of travelling......so i ordered a meal around 4.00pm. it took such a long time to get our food. Please take note that breakfast is not included Overall, everything about RUMA is excellent. Tq

PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Kuala Lumpur is perfectly located in the heart of the city centre, adjacent to the famous Jalan Alor and Bukit Bintang, and within walking distance to the city's main business, retail and entertainment districts.
Bad reputation as Park Royal. Stay in Penang and KL hotel was awaresome... But was disappointed at This place. As Park Royal services, they supposed maintained their standard. This room... The cloth cabinet was cover with curtain, the car park was so narrow especially the cornering ram, the swimming pool dont have the towel but no notification to bring own towel to swimming pool breakfast hall was so small and we need to queue for more that 30 minute standing waiting. Once breakfast... Not much choices and we been ask to leave if finish in order to let others. What kind of services. We been forced to hv breakfast in our stay....... Very bad strategic to get more profit.

The hotel is cheap because it’s cheap. Good location and friendly staffs and that’s it. Everything else is either old, broken, stained, faulty , noisy or smelly. So when you throw peanuts, be prepared to get monkeys.
