Ketchikan, one of Alaska's most Southeastern cities, is the first stop for many cruises on their way to more Northern climes. A stay in Ketchikan itself can be rewarding, however, as the city is the gateway to Misty Fjords National Monument, an area so beautiful, it is known as "The Yosemite of the North." With steep valleys formed by glaciers and lava flows left by volcanic activity, Misty Fjords offers gorgeous views of natural formations, all reflected in the calm waters of Pacific inlets.

Comfort on the Creek. The Inn at Creek Street is a collection of tastefully restored historic properties including eight rooms in the New York Hotel, ten in the Bayside Hotel, three units in the Creekside Lofts, Preacher's House, June's Place, the Star Room, the Wharf, and Harborview. Located in the heart of downtown, each unit is located along where Ketchikan's notable Creek Street and Thomas-Stedman Street national historic districts join. Most units have small kitchens and kitchenettes and all have modern amenities. Rooms overlook Ketchikan Creek and Thomas Basin with frequent wildlife sightings by guests (including seals, salmon, and birds). For an authentic Alaskan experience with a touch of history, great customer service, and the most conveniently located property, look no further than the Inn at Creek Street!
My wife and I visited Ketchikan in the middle of May, 2022. Our lodging for 3 nights was the Inn At Creek Street. We stayed in the Star room. The Inn At Creek Street website contains a description and pictures of all the rooms, so we knew beforehand the Star room fit our needs. We arrived at the Ketchikan airport, took an extremely short ferry ride to the Ketchikan side and were met by Sarah, the manager of Inn At Creek Street. She loaded our luggage in her vehicle and drove us a couple miles to the Inn. The Star room was perfect for our stay in Ketchikan. The room had a kitchenette with microwave and fridge. This allowed us to buy groceries at Safeway and have breakfast and lunch in our room. The location of our room was ideal for walking just 5 minutes to meet excursions at the cruise ship docks. Restaurants were also a short walk from the inn. At the end of our stay, Sarah shuttled us to the ferry terminal so we could take a ferry on the Alaska Marine Highway to Juneau, the next stop on our Alaska Inside Passage vacation. The location in the heart of Ketchikan, the layout and amenities of the Star room and the friendly, accommodating staff makes it easy for me to highly recommend staying at the Inn At Creek Street.

Discover a first-class hotel in Alaska's First City at The Landing Hotel. With the Pacific Ocean just across the street, we invite you to surround yourself with the beauty of Ketchikan, from the deep, green forested bluffs of Revillagigedo Island and the mountains of Gravina Island, to the scenic channel bustling with fishing boats, ferries and floatplanes.
Where to begin? The service in this hotel is some of the worst I've ever experienced. It's like these people have never heard the term "good service". Actually, that's too generous, they don't know the meaning of "decent service". When they are out of food, they don't call to let you know. They simply arrive as if they have room service, just to tell you they are out of food and "We're sort of out of everything, so....sorry....;/" They did this two on two separate occasions. After the second, I stopped visiting either on-site restaurant. One restaurant on-site is called Jeremiah's. It is supposedly open until 10:30 PM. They stop answering they phone for room service at approximately 8:30 PM. No one mentions this. I had to call the front desk to go and get the restaurant to call my room to take my order. When that happened, they woman answering was very rude. Overall, this is a poor excuse for a hotel and I'm completely blown away that anyone thinks this is more than a 2/5 experience. My working theory: it's one of the only hotels on the island and they know they can treat you like trash and you have no choice but to take it. It's like this in 90% of Ketchikan service establishments.

Internet was very slow, but otherwise it was very good! The staff was shorthanded, but picked up the slack and were great! Good location, near dive shop and supermarket! Just a short drive from the airport ferry, and down town.

The Gilmore Hotel a Trademark Collection by Wyndham is an historical, boutique hotel in downtown Ketchikan.
I loved our stay in this place. Don't expect 4 star accommodation (or an elevator) but if you want the best location, comfy beds, and plenty of hot water with good pressure this legacy hotel is your place. The staff is stellar and transportation to the airport ferry was easy.

Perfect location right on the water, and we saw so many eagles and otters hanging around the beach. Only complaint is we had a few rowdy guests outside but the staff was fast to respond. Our server was great and the room was clean
