Radisson Blu Kashgar has the first international five-star hotel in Kashgar and become a distinguished landmark. The hotel is conveniently located just 15 kilometers from Kashgar airport and situated adjacent to Asia's largest traditional marketplace,"The Grand Bazaar." Guest further enjoy close proximity to a number of scenic attractions, including Abakh Hoja Tomb,Id Kah Mosque,Karakul Lake,The Stone City and Three Immortals Buddhist Caves. With Radisson Blu's world-renowned "Yes I Can!" service culture, you are assured a world-class hospitality during your stay with us, whether traveling for business or on holiday.
The hotel is what you would expect from a Radisson hotel - comfortable, spacious and agreeable. The door for the toilet was a little bit hard to handle, though. The Nespresso coffee maker did not work. However, we could live with both issurs and did not bring them to the attention of the front desk. Breakfast is ok, a choice of Western and Chinese food- a local section is available, too. Staff are mostly trying to be of service. Smaller issues are resolved with a certain degree of flexibility. English is spoken only by some of the staff members, but an English speaker is always made available (if sometimes only on the phone). Due to the location - not in the city center - we had to rely on taxis which were not always easily available. It was especiallyhard to organize a taxi for the transfer to the airport early in the morning. We had to insist somewhat before hotel staff were willing to organize one the night before. All in all a pleasant stay in a remote corner of China.

We booked a reservation at this hotel one week before arrival and the hotel refused to inform us that they don’t accept foreigners. We only found out upon arrival in Kashgar. We’ve lived in China for three years, so we are not different from the Chinese in terms of COVID risk and therefore such differentiation is xenophobic and racist. Do not support this racist establishment.

I was supposed to stay in this hotel for three nights but I missed the first one due to circumstances beyond my control. My flight was supposed to land in Kashgar at around midnight but we couldn't make it due to poor weather conditions. We had no choice but to land in Urumqi where I arrived at around 4:30 AM. After a few hours from my arrival in Urumqi I put myself in touch with my tour operator to explain what happened. I asked them to contact the hotel on my behalf in order to get a full refund of the night I couldn't spend there. But I didn't get even a single RMB from the hotel. Fortunately my tour operator proved to be more sympathetic and gave me back some money. But from the hotel nothing at all which was very disappointing as the only reason why I couldn't show up was force majeure. My request of getting refunded was entirely rejected. Readers can draw their own conclusions.
