A good base to explore Jaen
Reviewed By Mary SThis hotel is a fair ways out of town but does offer (tight!) underground parking and a reasonable amount of space. We were quickly able to get a taxi for trips into town for restaurants in the evenings. Our room was good with a separate sitting area and comfortable beds, but the bathroom had a jacuzzi bath squeezed in which was rather awkward to use. The public areas are quite spacious and look good. Breakfast, included in our rate, was very basic - we appreciate that buffets aren’t possible at the moment but just a piece of toast, glass of juice and a coffee was of limited appeal. Nonetheless, this hotel suited our needs and provided a good base to explore Jaen.

HO Ciudad de Jaén es un hotel de 4 estrellas muy bien situado a la entrada de Jaén, junto a la autovía Bailén-Motril, posee unas excelentes vistas panorámicas de la ciudad y de las montañas de Sierra Mágina. Ofrece habitaciones de lujo, todas cuentan con aire acondicionado y terraza privada. También disponen de WiFi gratuito, caja fuerte, minibar, TV de pantalla plana y baño privado. Asimismo, el hotel alberga 5 pistas de pádel, campo de fútbol, dos pistas de tenis y un gimnasio totalmente equipado. Úbeda y Baeza, dos ciudades con encanto, se hallan a menos de 30 minutos en coche. El hotel proporciona aparcamiento gratuito. ¡Hablamos tu idioma!
Lovely beds
Reviewed By BartHermansBooked this hotel as a base to visit Baeza/Ubeda/Jaen and it was perfect for what we wanted. Clean, modern hotel close to the motorways (which you don't hear) to the 3 cities mentioned before. But also only a bit more than an hour to Granada and Cordoba. Massive free parking lot available. Probably because this hotel seems very popular to host wedding parties. And unlike the motorway. These can be heard from your room even with the sliding door closed. As it was April and the weather not that great it didn't bother me though. 2 big positives were the mattresses and pillows. Where normally in Spain I utterly hate the pillows. These were marvelous. The memoryfoam provides good support while one of the others provides height. Combined with lovely mattresses gave me the best sleep in ages. Better than my own bed. The breakfast is a good buffet style, in (again) a modern designed room. However the accoustics are not that great. So if I had to come up with a downside it would be the echo chamber that is the breakfast room. If I'd ever return to visit Jaen I would without a doubt come back here

Value for money, city centre
Reviewed By Cha CEverything is average here, but it is good value. I paid 58 euros incl breakfast. can't really argue with that when they are fighting to survive like most other businesses. My room was quiet, the a/c worked well and also the shower. Parking is offsite at 16 for the day. Walk to centre is 7 minutes. Nice bar/restaurant opposite..

With a little effort it could be better

As expected, the hotel is showing signs of its age in its style and fixtures and decor of corridors. However our room was a good size, clean, tv, fridge, good WiFi, a/c etc. Poor view. I would normally insist on a change as there was a good view of a park from some rooms but for one night I couldn't be bothered. No information in English anywhere, neither was the receptionist able to speak English, so what might be available in their cafe for breakfast or the rooftop for lunch or dinner I still don't know. The rooftop bar had good views and the pool was sparklingly clean and of a good size for cooling off. Car parked under the hotel, very tight entrance even for a relatively small hatch-back. I'd like to say very good, and with a little effort it could be, but overall just average at present.

They will give you a QR code to use on the barrier when you leave. Basic rooms, but in the middle of a heatwave, walking into a room with the AC blasting out is great. Restaurant next door served good food ...but "take a friend" as i couldn't finish my "house omelette"

Reviewed By holidaytraveller982In the middle of nowhere is a perfectly nice hotel. The room is a good size and totally quiet. The redone bathroom is very pretty with a rainshower and good water pressure. Note to management: switch the toilet and the bidet to make the bathroom perfect.

Reviewed By Renny BGreat location, value for money. Staff are useless. Breko is bread and a brew. And it doesn’t have a car park, it has a car park near by, but what hotel doesn’t, but for a cheap hotel it is in a great spot. Rooms are dated like a lime green bathroom.

Very clean and modern facility, great for families

The family room was simple, no-frills, but very clean, spacious, and more than adequate. The shower had fantastic water pressure. The facility itself is modern, spacious and welcoming; breakfast was quite good. Good value for a one-night stay.
