Lovely beaches, panoramic views and mouthwatering meals are waiting for you on Sant’Antioco, the second-largest island of the Sardinian region. In the island’s main village, also called Sant’Antioco, explore haunting but beautiful historic sites such as the ancient stone catacombs beneath the central basilica. The cobblestone piazza's geometric patterns are a striking contrast to the surrounding salmon-colored provincial buildings.

Nice and cozy "all-girls" management Boutique Hotel in the lovely town center of Calasetta. Nice rooms with AC, TV and Wi-Fi. Lovely Breakfast with a delicious add-on by homemade daily fresh cakes. If you need more there is a very clean SPA with a Professional Masseuse [Valeria]. Personally tested, believe me, it's an addictive experience. The position is very good within a three minutes walking distance from the Marina. Maria Laura, Claudia, Moira & Valentina... you'll never feel alone or without support. Thank You, Ladies. Highly recommended.

Lu' Hotel Maladroxia is a newly refurbished building located a few metres from the beach and within a very short distance from the old Phoenician town of Sant'Antioco, on the homonym Island. The promenade of the small town and its city centre is animated by cafes, restaurants and characteristic shops enriching the natural scenery of a beautiful sandy beach and an outstanding crystal clear sea.
I really want to keep this one to myself but the hotel staff deserve the praise. This is a smart, clean, modernised hotel in a lovely small village away from it all. We were greeted by helpful, English speaking staff (although I wanted to practice my Italian). The receptionist gave us a free upgrade to a sea facing room with a balcony. He even escorted us to the room. The room was fresh, spotlessly clean and furnished in a modern 'Ikea' style. Although the hotel is a little back from the beach it is only a few minutes walk down a slight hill to a beautiful sandy beach in a bay setting. This beach should suit families with young children. The restaurant served good Italian foods and the staff were more than willing and capable of quickly providing an alternative 'primo piatto' for a daft old Englishman who didn't quite grasp the translation. (ancora grazie mille) The restaurant also served beautiful local wines. The hotels strict adherence to the Covid rules did make the breakfast service a little tedious but that should have all ended by now. I will never forget those quiet moments, on our balcony, watching the sunrise over the water, with my early morning coffee. Perhaps one day I'll get back there.....

Living on the seafront Because staying here is living on the seafront: it’s waking up to the cry of the seagulls announcing the arrival of the boats with the freshest fish, sharing the reception with the Museum of the Sea and Shipwrights, a little jewel that tells the story of the aquatic flora and fauna of the lagoon and preserves the memory of the naval carpentry of Sant’Antioco. It’s having the island at hand, with its beaches, cliffs, the humanity of its seafarers, the great history of its Phoenician origins, the rituals in costume dedicated to the namesake saint martyr and patron saint of all Sardinia.
I think it is not a hostel but more a hotel. Perfect location just by the boulevard, you can enjoy amazing sunsets and walks. The "hostel" was very clean with quite big room and bathroom! The hosts are very nice and friendly, there is also a museum within the hostel. The breakfast is very good too! Highly recommended!

We arrived home yesterday after a 12 day stay at Le Sabbie, what can I say, it is a lovely family run hotel, all very clean and well kept. There were plenty of choices for breakfast, especially all the lovely homemade cakes. I must pay special tribute to Giacinto otherwise known as "G" who took us under his wing, he showed us such kindness, helpfulness, by the end our our stay we consider him a friend, and when let down by the taxi back to the airport, he took us. I rate him a definite 10/10. Thank you G.

The hotel Solki is a family run business and our peculiar name, Solki, is not other than the Punic name of the ancient town of Sant'Antioco. This hotel was built in 2000, in an area so called "Is Solus" in ancient time, a swampy land which was reclaimed by romans who built up a fountain that it is still visible in the main town square "Piazza Italia". More recently, about 40 years ago, there was a train station around here and the train passed by, right in the middle of where our car parking is now situated! These are only a few hints of a the many stories our island has to tell and it would be a great pleasure for us to guide trough this journey, in order to become for you an unforgettable mem0ry.
Pros: The interior design of the room is beautiful. The view is great, even if not on the seaside. We got our room with a nice balcony. Cons: On the check-in was an older man, who didn't speak english and we didn't get all the information we needed. The parking spaces are in front of the hotel, so they are not secure as we wished. The guide book was outdated, so the passwords for the Wi-Fi were wrong, as a result we stayed without connectivity and it made no sense to go and ask the right password, because we stayed only one night. As we came into the room the heating was fully on, so we had to turn it off. Later it was impossible to turn the heating back on. No blankets in the room, you cover yourself with a sheet and coverlet over it. It was a cold night. The water in the shower was only lukewarm and the sink was clogged. The breakfast is poor.

As a kid, 30 years ago, at Spiaggia Grande beach in Calasetta, seeing it white and beautiful right on the beach, I would always dream of staying at Hotel Stella Del Sud. And this year I finally made it! We stayed for 3 nights with my wife and kid. The room was very recently renewed, and with a magnificent double view on the pool and on the coast. The bathroom was brand new, the shower box modern and clean. The bidet was small and stuffed in a corner, making it impossible to use for me. But this happens in every hotel, as far as I can tell. The scent of juniper pervading the area surrounding the beach is something I keep dear in my memories, and this time I fully enjoyed during our stay. The staff was always smiling, friendly, kind, the waiters professional and caring. The hotel restaurant had a limited menu, but with fresh local food, and everything was fantastic. I was a little taken aback by the lack of prices in the menu, though. The beach is at 50 meters. The two other beaches of Calasetta are at 5 and 10 minutes by car. 100% want to return next year.

We found the owner and staff to be very friendly. He also has a sense of humor. We had a reservation for dinner at Ristorante da Achille. I asked him if it was close enough to walk. He took me to the front door and pointed across the street. We enjoyed a good breakfast on the patio, with all the coffee we desired. The selection was average, but good considering this is not an expensive resort. The room was large, clean and comfortable; with a very large bath and shower. Good internet. Great AC. No problem finding a place to charge phones, a laptop, and a tablet. There is free parking in the rear if you reserve ahead. If not, there is plenty of on street parking in front of the hotel. The location is great, with just a short walk to the attractions in town and near the harbor. And there is an excellent restaurant in the hotel across the street.

We discovered this place unfortunately only the last day of our holiday. They serve great local food without unnecessary sophistications, the wine is top class. We were staying in a holiday apartment in Sant’Antioco, It takes some minutes to drive to the restaurant but believe me it worths the effort. The owner is very professional, they know very well the raw materials they use. Try it!!!! Nicola
