Marton Arms Hotel

We are a traditional Country Inn located 1/2 of a mile from Ingleton and just 6 miles away from Kirkby Lonsdale. We have 11 guest bedrooms, two of which have four poster beds, one twin bedroom and three family bedrooms, the rest are doubles but some can be twins. We are ideally located for the those doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks or visiting the White Scar Caves and Ingleton Waterfalls. All of our food is prepared freshly on site and in most cases reared on our local farm. We pride ourselves in providing field to fork produce. For those Ale drinkers we have 8 Cask Ale hand pulls, which during the busy season we try and have all 8 on. During the quieter months this is not always possible. We have a selection of over 60 gins too! For those winter months we have two roaring log burning stoves in the bar and for the Summer months we have two lovely beer gardens, one out the front of the hotel looking over St Oswalds Church and one out the back looking over open fields.

The Wheatsheaf Inn

The Wheatsheaf is steeped in history stretching as far back as the 17th century. This Coaching Inn was extended in the 1800s to include a Blacksmiths shop and stables, now being utilized as the dining room. There is a large beer garden to rear and food is served every day. Black sheep is our main beer on the bar but we do have other guest ones for you to try.

Stopped off for a bite to eat. Had scampi and chips. Nothing special - typical pub food (frozen chips). Very nice pub though and friendly staff. Good selection of drinks. Chose Birra Moretti - nice and cold and in a nice glass. Lovely location.

Lovely stay

Reviewed By Annbarley

Just spent 3 nights in this lovely B&B. Host's were very welcoming. Room was spotless and very comfortable. Great location for travelling to different locations but nice for a quiet break in Ingleton. The breakfast was absolutely the best we've ever had, good local produce I couldn't cope with full English as I couldn't hardly move for the rest of the day, but my husband absolutely loved it. We would definitely use this accommodation again & would highly recommend it, it's small & very homely which is what we loved about it, & our puppy was very welcome too.

A lovely stay

Very comfortable and well equipped room. Free WiFi. Decent shower. Lovely views from the room, including the spring lambs. Fab breakfast, including full English, choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, toast and preserves, which set us up for our walk. Very friendly and accommodating hosts, Carol and Steve. Use of a lounge for B&B guests with good selection of books and games, TV. A 30 min walk to Mason's Freehouse, 40 mins in to Ingleton village centre. 6-7 mins in the car. We took advantage of a local taxi firm recommended by Carol. This allowed us to enjoy the local restaurants, bar/pubs in the village knowing a reliable service to run us back to Nutstile after our evening out. A pleasant and tranquil stay and ideal to take in the experience of staying on a working farm, surrounded by beautiful scenery.

I love Pinecroft Lodges

Reviewed By Lynnette S

This is the second time we have stayed at Pinecroft and we have been so pleased both times. The cabins had everything we needed to cook, clean and relax. They are also inexpensive, when compared to other holiday lets or Air BnBs. They are well equipped, situated on spacious land, have a laundry facility on site and are convenient to a co op. This time around, I was very unwell and could not continue the journey we had planned. I emailed Beryl to see if we could extend our visit to Pinecroft and she shuffled around the reservations so we could stay in our same cabin. Then, she asked if she could arrange for groceries or anything to be dropped off. I am sure we were quite a nuisance, but Pinecroft did everything to make sure our trip was pleasant, and what a beautiful place to heal! A big shout out to Neville (the on-site manager) and to Beryl (our email contact) for making our stay a joy and our recovery so much easier.

What a fantastic site . We stayed in caravan 14,we left this morning.sadly! After 1 week. The caravans are spotless, and it's very quiet. There's a full sized fridge freezer, and microwave etc. All bedding towels and even loo rolls included. We had all of our own stuff, but then I always take my own stuff. But take your own hairdryer, thankfully I did. Highly recommend this love site. The staff were wonderful, they gave us a lovely welcome. My ONLY gripe is no TV in bedroom lol,but had tablet to watch my programmes,as I like tv on to chill before sleep.
