From the beautiful nature surrounding the hotel to the calm and warm staff that will always help you with a smile, everything about this place is relaxing. The room is big, comfortable, and quiet. Traditional japanese style (which I found is better for my back). The onsen is big and has many amenities, with hot termal water that comes straight out of the mountains. And the restaurant is simply something out of a movie. Every single piece on their menu is a work of art. From sushi to barbecued fish, tofu and wild boar. So many delicious things to chose from. Having dinner or breakfast there you will feel in another time in history. You will exit this hotel happier and more relaxed.

The heating air control units appear fake just blowing out cool air even though I have it on 28c. Very wrong. Convenient to the station a plus, but we paid extra for a very nice room. Two large windows and a great view. Staff seem pleasant enough but when we asked for some instant coffe as the amenities small counter didn’t have any left, they wanted my name and room. Did they really think someone would walk off the street and ask for two packs of poor tasting instant coffee?

Nice new hotel. Very central and easy to catch the loop bus from the street outside. Walking distance to pretty much all you want. Staff all very helpful and bag drop great. The rooms are spacious, for Japan, and have all you could need. Nice seating area and mini fridge. Everything clean and tidy. We loved Kanazawa and would return to both the city and this hotel again.

Two couples enjoyed staying in this nice Orix Hotel and Resort, which would be excellent for couples with children to enjoy and even better during the summer months since there is an outside swimming area. We stayed during the Golden Week, and there was social distancing and sanitation measures being practiced. We had a room with beds which was located a little bit of a walking distance from the main dining room, but it was a lovely room with its own private bath, too.

Awesome points: - Awesome view. Come on, I don’t have to say much on that. - The staff were friendly and professional. Shoutout to a lady called Nagazawa (not sure if I got the name correct). She was carrying a very sincere smile the whole time I was conversing with her, very friendly, very polite, patience with my questions and spoke good English. Beside the room view, it were these small details and service which create a good hotel experience. - We chose France cuisine for our dinner. The dinner setting was very fancy which made us a little nervous, but the staff were efficient, tentative and provided good services. - The room was spacious! - By staying a night here, we have plenty of time and didn’t have to rush through the alpine route. Lucky for us, the sky was very clear on the day we visited, we could check out the starry sky on the observatory deck during the night. So-so points: - Expensive. Not a surprise. - The facilities were a little dated (but mostly clean!). One of the curtain in our room had black spots and dark patches on it. - My husband and I didn’t have a good sleep. we often felt like we need to gasp for air during our sleep. I think it might be because the air was quite thin, though I’m not entirely sure. Of course, this has nothing to do with the hotel, but if you have asthma issues, do take note.

It’s around 3 mins walk to Toyama station! (Really close) with 7-11 downstairs. Room wasn’t so bad, the bathroom was spacious ! The bed was also comfy. Would stay here the next time if we come to Toyama again!

I want to commend the hotel to doing so many things well and trying hard to be welcoming... the problem was (and maybe this is just when we visited) was a lot of loud obnoxious guests. For example: They are offer free ramen, coffee in lobby, a neat onsen oasis, plus handy laundry facilities - so thumbs up. However, many/most patrons in the onsen didn't understand the normal procedures and customs even though there were signs. Again, the hotels are trying hard but just keep in mind was hectic, loud and crowded, plus the rooms are small. Good price and pleasant staff. Fine unless you are a bit sensitive to noise and commotion.

A minute or two walk from terminal station Takaoka (station for local train. Shinkansen station Shin-Takaoka is different and about 1 km away). Single room is equipped with bathroom, toilet, tv, fridge. Room is neat and new. There is enough space for one adult but not spacious. Scenery from window is good.

Very nice rooms, very clean and great location. 2-3 minutes walk from Toyama station. I would have given a 5 stars rate, if the room description on the site I booked was better. We stayed in a corner room, 38 square meters, which suppose to be big... However, all the extra square meters ended up being in a long corridor that leads to the room and you can not actually use. So in case you consider staying in a larger room and have to pay extra for it, be advise that your actual room size will be the same, since there is nothing you can use that corridor for... One big minus of the parking is that unlike some other hotels in town, every time you go out with your car, you have to pay. In other hotels I have stayed in Toyama city, they offer unlimited go out and in parking for a flat rate.

Visited 1 week before golden week and it was quiet and peaceful. Price was included of 1 dinner and 1 breakfast and quality of food served was good. Room was basic with tatami, futons and a small towel for use at the onsen. Head up to 3rd floor on Murodo Plateau and look out for the small wooden signs. It is a 30-45 mins walk through snow, not recommended for families with young children or elder members. Highly recommended if you want to avoid crowds of tour groups at Murodo Station.
