Reviewed By 916nicolarMore a bed & breakfast than hotel but friendly, accommodating, clean and comfortable place to stay that is brilliantly situated in the main square next door to restaurants and bars. Great coffee houses in short walking distance and you get a quick feel for the town. Felt like I was on opening set of Beauty and the Beast. Very relaxed pace. Good breakfast on offer Nd very supportive staff who go out of their way to make you feel at home.

Great Points - Big Room, much bigger than most - Super Quite - All the Staff were polite, competent and answered any and all questions in a friendly manner. - Location is perfect to get to old town but convenient to easily get to - breakfast was very good. Fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, large assortment of cheese, bean-to-cup coffee, many cold cut meats, breads, yogurt. Almost perfect. - wifi stong and consistent - room modern and nice/ clean. - free parking - superb restaurant - superb beer Points for the hotel to review - maybe a kettle in the room for coffee and tea - bedding was traditional German--sheet, comforter but spartan. To kick it up to the next level they should add a flat sheet and down comforters. - add sekt to your breakfast since you have your own brand. Cost would be minimal, result would be priceless. All in all, loved the place! Will be back and can safely say Halber Mond and Heppenheim are a best kept secret.

Reviewed By alberts956Nice independent hotel in what must be the best location in Heppenheim. Very new and modern interior. Spotlessly clean bathroom. View on the very picturesque town square from the room. Room was comfortable and had all essentials apart from a minibar (or at least a fridge) and coffee making facilities. One of the reasons to pick this hotel was the Tesla destination chargers in the private parking. Although they are placed somewhat awkwardly compared to the parking spots, I was able to snag the last possible parking and charging position.

Reviewed By Arran WI have just stayed here for 4 nights due to work. This hotel ECHOES! The music played in reception I could hear in my room. People talking you can hear, footsteps sound like they're in your room. Theres constant noise. The rooms are basic and bathrooms need sorting out as theyre not great. This chain seems to be very basic with a minimal gym. Most of the staff are friendly. Breakfast selection is also very poor.

Reviewed By Erwin En Helga VGoed stopover hotel op 10 minuutjes van de A5 tussen Darmstadt en Heidelberg. Gelegen in een groene omgeving net buiten het stadje. Uitstekende prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding: € 170 voor 5 personen met ontbijt. De bekende Duitse inrichting met goede matrassen, kussens waren wat te zacht voor ons. De Gasthof heeft ook een restaurant met smakelijke Duitse gerechten en je kan binnen en buiten in de Biergarten eten. Vriendelijke en snelle bediening. Ontbijt was inbegrepen en is eenvoudig en smakelijk. Ontbijt is mogelijk vanaf 07.00, keuken sluit ‘S avonds rond 20.30. Al met al hele fijne stop na een lange dag in de auto. In Heppenheim vind je ook een McDonalds en Burger King trouwens, enkele tankstations en bakkers.

Simple stop along the way
Reviewed By Jan MWe have been walking the Burgensteig, a hike along the Bergstrasse from Darmstadt to Heidelberg, well over 100 km in total. Our first stop for the night was here. We arrived quite late and we were tired, so we decided not to look any further. We had diner in the restaurant, they serve cheap Italian-style food. Friendly people, good beer, food was OK. The boys were happy of course with the pizza ! We had a big room upstairs above the restaurant. It was cheap but very big and very clean. No possibilities for breakfast in the morning but the village centre is nearby so we had breakfast on the way after we left early next morning. For a stop-on-the-way we would do it again.

Reviewed By Anil PWas in Heppenheim & stayed the night with my wife in this hotel. Very small rooms with just bare amenities. Not a comfortable experience. Not recommended to visitors. The stay was after visiting river Rhein fall, a cruise along the Rhein & Cuckoo clock factory.
