Reviewed By sean cWe stayed at this hotel as our usual one had closed due to the owners moving on. Hotel was awesome! Great history of Helgoland on show throughout the hotel. The rooms were well decorated and furnished to a high standard. Staff were attentive and the breakfast tremendous. We shall definitely return. My Grandmother was born on Helgoland and I shall always return. It’s a very special place.

Perfect island retreat
Reviewed By CarstenSoeThe location is gorgeous, just 2 min walk from "downtown" but already quiet. Apartments have a small but fine kitchen so guests have the choice between hotel and private breakfast and can even do some cooking during the day. Nice furniture in the 1960's style.

A good place
Reviewed By m4marviStayed there for two nights was a nice stay with sea view and the sounds of waves. There is good breakfast but not vegetarian and vegan friendly. Make sure to put don’t disturb outside before sleeping as the room service came at 8 in the morning which is a bit early. Also found a charger in the room from a previous guess unsure how well they cleaned that a charger was still left behind ? Friendly staff and a peaceful place

Great little hotel - extremely clean

We had a double room with a balcony on the side of the building, our room did not have a view of the water, but we only used it for sleeping, so that was no problem. If you plan to spend more time in our room, We think it would be worth paying the extra money for a seaside room. My parents had one of the apartments with a nice balcony - this was a seaside room, and had a great view of the waterfront. The breakfast was nice, and had a good selection, no hot options though, but plenty of other things. The service was very friendly, the owner her self did everything in regards to the guests. The entire hotel was spotlessly clean, I don't think we ever stayed in a cleaner place. All in all this is highly recommendable, and we would certainly stay here again, and recommend anyone else to do the same.

Reviewed By S GA great place. Make sure you get a room with ocean view. Breakfast is very good. Rooms very comfortable. Bathroom was ok. Overall, a bit dated design, but great value for money, especially when you stay for a longer wekkend.

An attractive hotel, centraly located.
Reviewed By ChenahuskyHaus Nickels is a spotlessly clean, bright hotel, located on the Kurpromenade, facing the sea. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms, like a lot on Helgoland, are on the small side, but are well appointed. Some have sea views, some have inland views. The breakfast was very good and varied, including very good scrambled eggs. When it is time to leave the bill is paid at the Haus Hanseat. One of three hotels in the group. They accept all the usual cards.

Amazing and charming
Reviewed By Beatriz LI highly recommend, if you visit Helgoland, to stay in this wonderful place ;) The staff at the reception desk is very kind and friendly. The appartments are a must, where you feel transported to the 50's but with the comfort of nowadays advantages.
