I absolutely loved the Austrian traditional Schnapps drink as well as variety of coctails. All in all its worth the price. With respect

Perfect place for family skiing holidays

Reviewed By tomashusek

We usually stay in the hotels. This was the first time we have chosen something different and we do not regrett in at all. A wonderful Alp village, central location and a world class skiing within 2-3min drive by car or 500 mts on feet. The apartment was lareg with two separate bedrooms each equipped with shower. Kitchen, living room and an in room sauna. We had plenty of space in nice, cosy, wooden apartment. There are plenty of parking places though only few are in underground garage, a ski room to pamper your ski boots :) Everything organized. There is a small bakery on site where you can get breakfast and small bites during the day. All you have to do is ski and enjoy the mountains. I also noticed it is pet friendly as few guests had their pets with them.

Best Ski Hotel we have been on

Reviewed By 590noelk

Just back after a week with my wife and 5 year old child, very happy with the hotel. The hotel is roomy and very clean, the room we had was a very good size not what we are used to and we have stayed in numerous ski hotels, Its a family hotel so lot of guests had there kids with them from baby's to teenagers. food was very good always found something we liked from the choices provided, Friendly staff and as for other guests you soon work out that a lot have been before and have returned and we very much intend to be the same. I had a ski accident on the 4th day and the old saying when your sick you want your own bed, well I felt at home here and was offered what ever assistance I needed. They request guests to keep the noise down after 10pm and this kept the hotel nice and quiet at night but even in the mornings the hotel is still very quiet think there is good sound proofing so you will get a good nights sleep. They ask guest not to wear outdoor shoes inside the hotel so bring slip on shoes, sandles (you will need them for the pool area and health suite anyhow), we went and bought sandels in the next local town in the bigger supermarket on the roundabout as everyone else was doing this. You are allocated your own table in the restaurant for the week so you know where your sitting and its roomy so there is no having to squeeze out of your chair to get you food. Only negative was our child at nearly 6 could not communicate with the other child guests due to the language barrier (this will be a hit and miss) as there was a big mix of Austrian, German, Polish, Lithuanian, Dutch, etc. but he did latch onto a family with young teenagers whom did speak English. There is a Games room in the basement with free Pool, Table football and air hockey. We used the pool every day after the slopes, its at 30° just right. There is good wifi all around the hotel and was able to watch Netflix when i was stuck in the hotel after my accident. There is a bus to the slopes just outside the hotel about 30 metes away (need your ski pass) the slopes about 1200 metres away (remember this for the first day) but we drove down every day as there was free parking at the hotel and the slopes, and made things easier to throw everything in the back and get our child into lessons and then go across to the main parking area and put our gear on. Kids lesson run from 10 till 3 you need to pay for lunch. of course friendly staff. supper market 5 mins walk from the hotel for snack and other food if your child doesn't like the food provided. We drove so with short stops for fuel and lunch took 12.5 hours from Calais France

First bad holiday experience

Reviewed By bnch36

We booked two rooms for a week for our family. One of the rooms was not as described in the brochure of the travel-agency, it was far too small after the instalment of a second double bed. We tried to find a solution with the owner whom at the end did not help us without making an extra payment of 120 euro per night for an extra two persons room. The food and service in the restaurant were ok. The host should have been more client-oriented and less focussed on personal profits.

Not very welcoming

Check-in was done in a complete rush without any further explanation, food quality was okay but way too heavy food for dinner, staff was not overly friendly. All in all, we did not feel welcome at all and the room (one of the new ones) is heavily overpriced! Been there some years ago and the atmosphere was completely different - very sad!

Fabulous experience

Everything here was perfect, from welcoming to the location. Hospitality of owners is incredible Walter and Helga let as feel as their family guests. They both speak English fluently, so for us, not German speakers was very important. Hotel is ideally located in the town within 5 to 30min access to 4 ski areas in Ski Amade region (760km of slopes). Ski bus is 50 meters walk from the hotel, therefore forget the usage of own car, troubles with parking lots and enjoy Aperolspritz on the slopes?. Extra free service is shuttle bus provided by Walter if you miss your ski bus!!! We had the half-board, so every evening dinner was 4 meal course including dessert. Main course was possible to choose from 3 options (including vegetarian). Good selection of local wines and professional recommendations by Walter. Rooms contains everything you need at the hotel. Cleanness and tidiness is guaranteed! We highly recommend to stay here!

Beautiful new chalets at a great location - but still way to go

Reviewed By ninamaria1

We have been here over New Year's. We were 6 adults and 1 child (2 years). First the positive points: the chalets actually look like they do on the photos. Everything was clean and really cosy. The location is nice although (at least in winter) the chalets are in the shadow all day. Ski in, Ski out works really nice. The whirlpool was very warm and one could spend hours in there. However, unfortunately there are quite some negative points as well: 1) Although, when booking, we were asked, if we needed a children's bed, and we paid for it upfront, upon arrival, we were informed that currently all children's beds were already in other chalets. 2) The resort offers that fresh pastry can be ordered, which is then ready for pick up as of 7:30 am at the reception. We did order on the first day for the following day. When I went to the reception at 10:30 am, I was informed that they did not receive all orders, but they are taking care of it. Finally, at approx 11:30 am, we received 4 buns instead of 6. When we informed them about the mistake, they told us that they would bring the 2 other buns ASAP, however, they never showed up again. 3) There was very little toilet paper and when we asked, if we could get some more, they informed us that these are self-catering chalets. 4) The bathrooms for the smaller rooms are ridiculous. It is already hard to wash your hands without swamping the whole bathroom, but washing one's face is literally impossible without doing so. Also the shower in the bathroom swamps at least the bathroom, if not the whole room. It would have been better to have shared bathrooms, but make them big enough to actually use them. To sum it up: We had a really nice stay, but would not come back here.

Very dissapointed, loud music in dining area!!

Reviewed By 298michl

We were staying here with my boyfriend between Christmas and Silvester. This was our second time visiting hotel and for sure the LAST ONE. If you want peacefull and chilled holiday, this is not the right choice of hotel. Last year we were probably lucky to have quiet guests around us and considering the fact that hotel is really close to the cable car, we returned here. We were in a room, which is directly above the dining area. The WALLS ARE SO THIN, that you can hear literally everything. From talking, children running in corridor, slaming the door, to moving chairs in the dining area. One night (not Silvester night!) I heard in my room loud music, people talking and laughing. First I thought maybe it is in one of the rooms. When it didn't stop, I wanted to go to the reception and ask if they could do something about it. First - NOBODY WAS AT THE RECEPTION, second - THE PARTY WAS IN DINING AREA. I was up until ca. 2:30 (what you have from next day, when you came here to ski???). In the morning I asked boss if it would be possible to change the room. The answer was - everything is full, there are no other free rooms and it was only yesterday, because someone was celebrating birthday. We've got a glass of wine next day. I mean- seriously in a 4star hotel?!!?? I understand that people want to have fun, but I think we are all the same guests, we pay the same amount of money (100per night per person) and if there is not such a room for parties with good sound isolation, it should not be allowed to make party when you know it's disturbing other guests. Extremely dissapointed and I will for sure not recommend it further. One star is for very nice personal, waiter and waitresses and good food, other than that, hotel management is very dissapointing.
