Reviewed By Passport20666225376We have stayed at this hotel for a couple of years now for state wrestling. We recommend this hotel to all of our families to stay. Until now. We checked in to the hotel and the lady at the front desk said no food or drink whatsoever in the pool area, and she WILL be patrolling the pool. So as our kids are in the pool we stood outside the door with our drinks. The same front desk lady said “can I help you?” We responded no thank you we are drinking outside the door and watching our kids” she replied “ I hope you can get to your kid in time” also no housekeeping what so ever. This will be the last time we stay. It’s disappointing to pay for a room, patron the hotel, and feel like a prisoner. Literally being watched, and no above and beyond treatment. What a sad thing for holiday inn express.

Off US-34, we're a short drive from local dining and Lake Hastings. Central Community College and Hastings Municipal Airport are within 10 minutes. Hastings is three miles away - home to the Birthplace of Kool-Aid, Aquacourt Pool, the Prairie Loft Center for Outdoor & Agricultural Education, and Hastings Museum. Daily hot breakfast and WiFi are on us.

Looking at the carpet while walking feels like you're going to go into convulsions, breakfast was average, shower head was possibly the worst we've ever experienced, and, worst of all, the (too small) American flag's edge was in tatters. Hard pass.

Reviewed By Christal1963I booked a handicapped accessible with roll in shower. When I arrived was told she already rented tole room to somebody else even though that is what I reserved and prepaid for. They then proceeded to put me in another room they claimed was accessible, which I can assure you it was not, and was all the way down at the far end of the hall from the entry and stated it is all they had. Wheelchair would not fit through bathroom door or between the bed and tv stand or the bed and wall. Room was extremely small to be a handicapped room. I would have left except per Wyndham it was a non-refundable reservation. Sorry to say this is becoming the norm in hotel industries. Rooms are either as far away from the entry doors as they can be or they’re up on the top floor of hotels so if something happens the first thing that shuts down is the elevator and you have no way to get out.

HORRIBLE - DO NOT STAY HERE- SCAM ARTIST
Reviewed By leichleiterThis scam of a motel overcharged me $46 from the rate we were quoted multiple times, the manager lied about it, never refunded me, and then charged me a $125 cleaning fee for leaving the room SPOTLESS. We even tipped $25 for the housekeeping. My parents even went back to the hotel to see the room the next day and the employee who escorted my dad to the room admitted there was nothing needing cleaning. The owner or the manager is embezzling money from guests. It is a SCAM!!! We have stayed there for our family reunion 4-5 years so it’s not a new place to us. I love 20min away. The new owner is a SCAM ARTIST. Save yourself the trouble and do NOT give this dishonest scam artist your money!
