Reviewed By clT6377GWThere was hair in the shower, hair in my salad from room service (though the first two deliveries were fine), curtain torn, there was a large crack in the window, intake cover coming off the wall. Disappointed.

Reviewed By F2530WQjennykWe chose here bc on TripAdvisor it was rated 4. There are black spots on the ceiling. The wallpaper is peeling. There is so much rust on the AC unit and lighting fixtures kinda afraid to touch them. No idea where the good reviews came from. Very disappointed

Well run and efficient

Sadly one of the elevators was broken upon arrival but within a few hours, it was back in service. Staff friendly. Rooms were clean - Direct TV working - sadly no internet TV. Coffee in the lobby was hot and plentiful - nice creamers. A wedding party there was able to even get late night snacks in the dining area.

Would not even consider
Reviewed By DFS60I attended a conference here in a large ballroom. Based on that experience, I would not even consider paying to stay in a room here. The place was old, dirty, dilapidated carpet, lightbulbs missing from fixtures, bathrooms with peeling paint and dirty. There was nothing at all appealing about the place. Plenty of other places to stay at in the area.

Nice but. . .
Reviewed By Brian MThe bathroom door did not close all the way, leaving a gap that by design, anyone walking into the room is looking right in. So if you are traveling with a family you are almost certain to have more than one embarrassing issue. Not sure who thought up the "barn door" style bathroom doors but it was a terrible idea. It ruined the whole experience unfortunately because otherwise this is a nice hotel. Please note-if you are from Hilton and commenting on this, don't offer an apology, the only remedy would be to remove the barn door and replace it with a real door. I don't want to hear "sorry" I want to hear "the doors are being replaced".

Small town gem
Reviewed By AvaPatriciaMy family has stayed at the Thames Inn a couple of times. It’s not a high end, fancy place. You can pay the high end prices if you need that. But this place is clean, comfortable, within walking distance to a few restaurants, has a beautiful river view with sunsets, and has friendly and helpful staff. It’s an underrated gem and we will return next spring.

Reviewed By 982luciafPros: Staff were nice and accommodating. Mattress was super comfortable, we slept great, parking was plentiful. Cons: I walked barefoot on the hardwood floor and I noticed a horrible odor coming from my feet. FIRST, I had JUST taken a shower and SECOND my feet never smell like THAT. I proceeded to look under my feet and to horror my feet were greasy and smelled like poo. I was like HO MO GOD that's foul! when I wiped the floors with a towel the towels came back black as night. SO floors are disgusting, also there were some questionable characters possibly living there.

Nothing about this stay was right I am thoroughly disgusted and would not recommend this place to anyone.Room was unsafe as window locks were nonexistent and we were ground level. The place reeked of cigarette and the bed sheets had cigarette burns. Remote was taped toget leaving wires exposed and dangerous to operate. Noisy. Breakfast was 4 bagels some white bread and an apple.

A Sad, Tired Place
Reviewed By rickmD2634JADon't be deceived the photos and reviews that might persuade you that this is an "okay" place and our a "good value" that will suffice for a short stay over. This place is truly dilapidated, replete with painted over wall paper, repurposed furnishings and the scent of ancient tobacco in a would be non-smoking room. The bed linens and towels were paper thin and the latter, the texture of like sandpaper. The single bed pillows those you find on airplanes. When we requested second pillows they were not to be had due to "COVID". We stayed here because other accommodations we checked around Mystic, CT were full. In retrospect, we should have looked harder. IMO, this place is only suitable for those saving all their money for the slot machines. To say this motel needs a total remodel would be a massive understatement, more likely it needs to be razed.
