Gasthof Steinerwirt is a charming country inn with rich tradition and close to the natural preserve Untersberg. The inn is furnished in a rustic farmhouse style with excellent cooking: principally local specialties on use of high-quality-products from the house owned farm and the region. Our convenient location makes us the perfect starting point to a wide range of cultural, leisure and sport activities in Salzburg and Bavaria. We provide our guests with free wireless internet in the lobby and the restaurant. Gasthof Steinerwirt has been a renowned inn for decades. Over the years the main building was renovated prudently a couple of times but has still preserved its distinct character.
Great strategic location
Reviewed By ShimnikGasthof Steinerwirt is located on the border between Austria and Germany. It is 15 km away from Salzburg. We had an amazing apartment with 2 rooms and balcony on the 2nd floor. Breakfast has many different options. Besides ham, cheese, cereals, joghurt, juices, bakery, few types of breads, fruits, you can order eggs. Guesthouse has a nice restaurant, where we eat once and left happy with the food served (Wiener Schnitzel and Salad with chicken breast). Steinerwirt is built in the place surrounded by nature and hills. I would even say, it is a tranquil farmer piece of land, where you are not disturbed by city noise. It you like hiking, there are plenty possibilities. All personnel is very friendly and helpful. It is carefully decorated in the rooms and corridors. I liked that no one entered the room throughout our stay, since there was a sign on the door “Do not disturb”.

Reviewed By steve rgreat dinner experience. The beer was great-----but even better was the service, and food choices. CASH ONLY---so be prepared. This is a great little town, must stop here at have a meal, and enjoy the peace and quiet and beauty surrounding it

Their winning and elegant company house is in immediate nearness to the rehabilitation centre of Grossgmain. The situation of our house is equally interesting for holiday company and business travellers.With us you enjoy a stay in pleasant atmosphere with personality. Each of our rooms became individual, with a lot of love to the homy detail forms and disposes of a balcony with look at the nice mountain scenery, shower with WC, flat panel display with SAT TV & radio as well as access on the Internet. We offer the ideal starting point for a huge number of excursions and activities in the region.

Spacious and bright room with balcony, modern shower, breakfast buffet (breadrolls, chees, meat, eggs, etc are brought fresh to table). Competent and friendly hostess, spacious car park next to the House, accommodation situated in a quiet area of the village in a breathtaking setting!
