A bevy of universities give Austria's second-largest city its lively pace. Baroque palaces are a pleasant contrast with 16th-century courtyards and provocative modern buildings. The Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, teems with fine architecture, including the Burg castle complex, with its Gothic double staircase, and the graceful Uhrturm clock tower. A funicular takes visitors up the dramatic bluff. The River Mur dashes through the city, and thermal springs dot the surrounding countryside.

From a crafts workshop to one of the most beautiful art hotels in Europe. The history of the Schlossberghotel – Das Kunsthotel reads itself just like a fairy tale. In 1596 it was named the Imperial and Royal carpentry of Graz and the tradition of handicraft kept on for the next centuries. A new chapter was opened in the 1960s as the traditional building was transformed into the “Gasthof Bierstrom”. A few pages later, from 1980 until 1982, the building was vastly remodeled and modernized and reopened as Schlossberghotel. In the following years the hotels grows as two adjoining buildings are added. Another highlight in the story of the hotel was the construction of the new apartments in the Domenig-Spitz in 2011. All rooms of the Schlossberghotel - Das Kunsthotel provide air conditioning, a bathroom with a bath tub, and a work desk. Most rooms provide a view of the romantic courtyards. Elegant apartments with a kitchenette are also available.
My wife and I have visited Graz several times and stayed at the Schlossberghotel. We don't bother with any other hotel. It is at the base of the Schlossberg and directly on the river with stunning views. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It is an easy walk to the old city center and 5 minutes walk to the Schlossberg tram. The staff is very helpful with any of our needs.

The best choice in the inner city of Graz. Stylish and anything but conventional: at Graz’s Boutique Hotel Dom the guest resides in the colourful, artistic ambience of a time-honoured city palace. Situated directly in the centre of the old town of Graz, we invite you to stay in unique rooms with historic flair and modern design and to explore the city from here. You find all important tourist attractions and many of the best restaurants of Graz within walking distance. Comfortable parking possibilities you find in the nearby parking garage.
We expected more from a boutique hotel of this price range. Our de luxe room was indeed very spacious and clean. The AC was functionning well. However, the beds were hard and pillow really thin. We were 3 adults and had to share a tiny bathroom. The deception came from the breakfast that was really basic no hot food. The room is dark and we got no service, we even had to find cutlery and napking on other tables. Our towels were changed and we were left with 2 sets for 3 persons. The capsuls for the room Nespresso were not refilled nor our cups cleaned from previous morning. The fridge contained only alcool and sparkling water, no still water…

The hotel 'Das Weitzer' in Graz is just the right hotel for all those who like personable and easy-going. Located in the middle of the city, within 5 minutes walking distance to the main square of Graz, with splendid views of the 'Schloßberg' (city landmark) and on top of everything, it's still good value. From a sensational breakfast in the breakfast room called 'Engelreich', to a cosy drink in front of the fireplace in the Weitzer lounge, the largest hotel in the city has a lot to offer, which is out of the ordinary: traditional food and wine and a gift shop in the restaurant 'Der Steirer', a florist's, the old cafe 'Kaffee Weitzer' and even a wellness area. Also: nice details like bikes and free WiFi throughout the entire hotel area.
Terrific hotel and very nice staff. Hotel in City Center, close to restaurants and shopping. I forgot my Head Phones in the Hotel Room. The cleaning lady found them, and they sent them to me in Sweden. Great breakfast buffet! Comfortable beds and pillows. Very Clean. I’ve stayed before and will return to the same hotel if in Graz again. Everything good!

Visit our cosy terrace and relax from your trip, cold drinks and snacks are always provided here.
I hadn't come across the Intercity brand before and I'm glad I've discovered it now. I had a very comfortable, affordable stay in a very modern, clean, well located hotel. Not more you can ask for than that! You can walk to almost everything Graz has to see, or take one of the many tram routes that converge just beside the hotel in an underground terminus. The hotel is very close to the main Graz railway station and in fact, the tracks and platforms run adjacent to the hotel. The modern build means there is virtually no noise from the railway at all. There's no room-room noise either. The insulation is excellent. The staff are effective, although there were some check-in issues I could have done without (being sent to the wrong room on the wrong floor) but mistakes can happen. The lobby has a lot of modern space and there seems to be some areas for smokers and gamers, although COVID seems to have closed these at the moment. Masks are required for guests and staff, as is a COVID vaccination. Not all the guests followed the mask requirement though. The rooms aren't large, but they're not cramped. There's enough desk space for working and there's good, reliable WIFI. The huge flat screen TV offers a lot of international channels. Beds were comfortable, with pristine, clean linens. Two separate duvets for the double bed. Bathrooms have huge walk in showers with excellent hot water pressure. Clean, new towels and a body wash/shampoo. No other amenities. There's a hair dryer provided. Rooms have fridge and safe and good closet and luggage space. Breakfast is excellent. It's the same each day, but there is a great variety of foods to suit every taste. Vegan options also. The restaurant space is cool, but I didn't understand why so many guests without masks chose to sit on the next table to me, when there were so many empty tables. Baffling. Not the hotel's issue. I was very impressed with this hotel. Especially for the value. Modern, clean and comfortable are always my ideal and this property provided everything I was looking for,

This a&o in beautiful Graz is located right by the main railway station. It’s the perfect base from which to explore the city’s gorgeous surroundings by train. From here, you can walk to all the sights; the tramway stops right outside your door. There are 119 cosy single, double, family, and multi-bed dorm rooms. It also features tabletop football, billiards, a bar and book swap, a children’s corner, and a meeting room. And when we say centrally located – well, we mean it: Eggenberg Palace is just 15 minutes away.
This is a very good accommodation for a short stay. The room was clean, it had all the amenities that we needed (towels, toilet paper, soap). The TV is too small, but we weren't there to watch TV, so it doesn't really matter. The room (4 beds) is also small and there are no cupboards. Our room was facing the street and it was impossible for me too sleep due to all the traffic and noises. On the plus side, I didn't hear any of the guests. The breakfast is ok, but I think it's too expensive.

We stayed for 2 nights recently. Due to specific offer, we received a priviledged room which was much more spacious and the mini bar was free. The hotel best part is its location. Its a few minutes walk from Schlossbahn, Murinsel and Kunsthaus. There are several nice restaurants nearby. Right next to teh hotel is the farmer's market and several stores including SPAR, HAFER and BILLA. The staff is friendly. The rooms are clean and overall the hotel gives a spacious feeling like the lobby and stairs are much wider.

Nice restaurants in the neighbourhood serve delicious food and complete our range of offerings.
We lived in the Hotel Süd Graz for more than 2 months (March-May 2022). We had a roomy and light apartment studio that included everything that needed a comfortable life. There are free Wi-Fi, modern furniture sets and a kitchen set: stove, microwave oven, kettle and coffee machine, dish set for eating and cooking. We also used the SPA zone, and we enjoyed it so much. The hotel is located in a beautiful place with a few shops and cafes next. In half an hour by bus, it is possible to come to the center of Graz (by car it is faster). In a few minutes by walking from the hotel, there are mountains where you could have small hiking, be around the nature and see the fantastic views of the city. We very much appreciate the care about us from Mr. Hubert G. Pferzinger, Fabian, Anna, the all office team, and all the room cleaning team. Thanks all of you for everything. We wish you only the best.
