Very pleasant stay overlooking the Loire
Reviewed By coralbaybonWe chose the hotel for its location and because it offered charging for our electric car. It’s a grand old hotel, with a lovely feel. Bed was comfortable, breakfast was good, and the view over the river was lovely.

Reviewed By roinenA small hotel on the opposite side of the river Loire as the town of Gien. The hotel had a nice dog that didn't bark and AC. Considering the price, the hotel was perfectly ok. The breakfast was ok but nothing excessive.

Bad location near highway, lot of plastic waste for breakfast
Reviewed By Overlord44Too many Corona Measures in place, we were even not allowed to sit down... due to Corona Breakfast was served in bags, everything was packaged which produces a lot of rubbish. Bed was good, as well as the size of room.

Very sad building
Reviewed By MrsMouse85Reception reeked of curry, dimly lit. Asked straight away if we wanted breakfast which we declined. No restaurant and everything looked tired, dated and grubby. Room was dreadful - not sure where the pictures on the website came from but our room was dire and good job it was a one night stop over. Bathroom awful with damp stains and marks on walls very odd tap arrangement with no curtain or screen so water went all over floor hence stain marks all over floor in bedroom. Grotty old furniture with tea bags and coffee and milk cartons but just two plastic water glasses provided. Sheets appeared clean though and we were tired. Nowhere to eat so luckily had handy hamper in car with food and beer and wine and music - just as well.

Super small hotel with lovely hosts
Reviewed By stevebaker1We stayed just one night and arrived early afternoon from Germany. We were welcomed with plenty of cool drinks of water, though other beverages were offered! After a pleasant talk with some advice from the owners about the area and where we could eat, we were shown our room. If you have the very top room, make sure you remember the way too it, as at night it can be difficult to find! The owners are an architect and interior designer and they have made the most out of the old building with modern and tasteful decorations, some with a little 'funk'. There is also a lovely well maintained garden around the house complete with a pool A wonderful breakfast was served in the garden under a canopy where we met the other guests. It made a lovely start to out Loire Valley tour.

Reviewed By s_bastienf352Chambre vetuste une renovation bonne a refaire , du sol au plafond , moquette pas terrible , remettre de l' eclairage , petit lampe de chevet un peu juste , halogene qui ne serre a rien ne fonctionne pas , dans la salle de bain le pommeau de douche et a revoir aussi , le joint de porte de joint et sale .

La chambre est joliment décorée. .. Le plus : un petit jardin sur les toits... Nous en avons bien profité. La maison est superbe ! Un petit déjeuner le matin sur mesure... dans de la faïence de Gien... Le rêve. ... Bref... Je vous recommande chaudement cette adresse...

Reviewed By magperceNous avons séjourné pour une nuit dans le but d’en visiter gien et ses alentours. Un accueil chaleureux comme à la maison dans une maison spacieuse et agréable. Nous avions réservé la chambre familiale pour le plaisir de tous, Sdb dans la chambre et spacieuse. Propreté impeccable. Et nous avons apprécié le petit déjeuner avec tout le choix du roi ( pain, confiture, viennoiserie, fromage, yaourt...) boissons chaudes/froides. Il y en a pour tous les goûts et note hôte est à l’écoute de nos attentes. Merci à eux pour leur accueil et je conseillerai volontiers cette escapade dans cette maison sans problème.
