The only con would be cleaning ladies entering the rooms without permissions. Nice view and good parking makes this place very comfortable.

Superb hotel / chalet two hours from Zurich
Reviewed By George HWe spent two great nights in the Sporthotel Chalets - Room 3 Haus B is big room with its own Turkish bath steam shower, lots of space, high quality fit out, and a large balcony. The parking was on site downstairs (and is free, offsetting the cheeky 26 euro cleaning charge at the end of the stay). The Chalets are a separate building across the main hotel from the Sporthotel and five minute walk from the Versetta Bahn cable car. A two day pass for skiing cost 115 euros per adult. The Chalets have their own spa area with two unisex saunas and lots of loungers with reading lights to lie on and recover after a day on the pistes, and the main hotel also has a gym and a pool and its own spa area. The staff are wonderful. Big shout out to the stylish head waiter in Stoba 7 restaurant who was so cheery and helpful. The front desk staff were friendly and the whole stay was a pleasure. I want to return in summer for hiking!

Gaschurn, A Breathtaking View Over The Austrian Alps
Reviewed By 597olimpiaGaschurn is a touristic place, a ”paradise of the winter sports”. It is a magnificent mounain area. It offers splendid hiking routes, and exciting gliding sessions in summer, and a lot of attractive winter sport activities in winter. I did not live in the hotel ”Posthotel Roessle”, but I could see it from outside every day (I stayed nearby, to some friends). But I was delighted to hear that the great American writer, Ernest Hemingway was the guest of this hotel for a while. He also lived in Schruns, a village in the neighbourhood, famous for its winter sports, too. ”Though I admire Hemingway’s writing, I did not come to Schruns to chase his legend. At least not intentionally. But Hemingway helped put Ketchum/Sun Valley on the map, and after the ski tour below Piz Buin and down Jamtal Ferner into Galtur was described to me, I could not say no. First I wanted to ski the massive Silvretta Nova–the vast interconnect which fills the high peaks above Schruns, St. Gallenkirch and Gaschurn. If the Silvretta Nova’s twenty eight lifts and hundred kilometers of marked pistes existed when Hemingway wintered here, he might never have settled in Ketchum. Here steep bump runs roll, dive and twist down forested gulleys while perfectly groomed boulevards lead to empty quad lifts. A deep winter storm, however, has buried the Silvretta Nova beneath two feet of cold powder and only a fool would risk the passes that lead to Switzerland. With the visibility alternating between murky and opaque, the trees offered superb skiing and on the last run of the day, I followed “Zigjam’s” untracked terrain back to Gaschurn.” Winters are heavy in Gaschurn, but either winter or other seasons, passionate photographers have the opportunity to develop their photography art here.

The Felbermayer is centrally located and quiet in the village of Gaschurn in the Montafon Valley, just a 3-minute walk from the valley station of the Silvretta Montafon cable cars. Around the house extends a large garden with pond, Kneipp facilities and spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. The house offers a spacious indoor pool a spa with saunas, steam bath, laconium, relaxation room, outdoor area with plunge pools and infrared cabin. There is also a solarium, fitness room, billiards room. It offered a variety of beauty, massage and classic Kneipp applications. The bright, cozy rooms and suites offer plenty of natural state of natural wood in a straight interior design and hardwood floors. The lobby with a bar, fireplace lounge, library and conservatory is stylish, comfortably furnished with natural materials. In event hall which can be used as a conference room, there are weekly concerts and lectures. The whole year guided hikes and tours with the landlord are offered. The underground car park with bicycle or ski cellar and adjoining boot room (dryer) the guests use free of charge. Free WIFI is available.

The food was fantastic (big breakfast buffet / cool Afternoon lunch / tasty Dinner @ & tasty wines) ! Cozy Wellness with all u can think of and they offered very good treatments too. We had a nice and very clean Room with a walk in wardrobe / separate shower from the toilet room) Location: 5min walk from skilift and 5 min from the center. All in all it was just fantastic!

Wonderful and picturesque Austrian Hotel
Reviewed By A372FSsusannebWe love Saladina! Our family loves the traditional family run Austrian lodges and Saladina was perfect. The owners, Daniel and Uli’s personal attention was much appreciated. The staff was wonderful. When our mother came down with a bad cold and our father was on his way to get soup for her, Daniel said, we’ll have the chef make some and they sent it up to her room. My husband accidentally broke his only pair of prescription glasses on the slopes. Uli was going to the next town and had the optometrist fit his lenses to a new frame which he is still wearing today. My husband and I eat a plant-based diet. They accommodated that graciously and the chef made some wonderful meals. On Christmas Eve, Patrick, the hotel manager and the owner’s family put on a wonderful service at a tiny church on a small hill in the town. Afterwards Patrick, led us on a walk through the town with flaming torches. It could not have been a more picturesque Austrian alps experience.

Super friendly staff and high standard
Reviewed By D8288DSpeterbWe were a group of nearly 30 skiers from Sweden who visited Hotel Sonnblick, before the trip we had some changes and late drop offs but the service minded staff came with great solutions for room changes. The hotel is well-kept and the spa was great. The food stood out as excellent, four course dinner every night with a “gala dinner” on Friday that was totally great! You have to go by minibus to the lift system, they say that they only drive some hours in the morning and afternoon but if you call they pick you up in five minutes and the driver is super friendly and service minded. We strongly recommend Hotel Sonnblick if you plan a visit in the Montafon Valley.
