This place is in need of repair badly. Starting off the internet did not work and we couldn’t get it to work all night. The tv didn’t even have the proper plug to plug it in. So we used our adapter and got it working. It hid ONE channel. The toilet was loose. It would fall over on you if you didn’t watch it. The bed is small. Hot water was not on and after they turned it on and we all waited for it to warm up before taking a shower we had a very had time regulating the temperature. The drain didn’t work so water got all over the bathroom. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE!!! Would not recommend it to anyone. I would never stay here again.

Dutchess is a boutique hotel and restaurant. A tranquil and culinary oasis just outside the city centre. We have a beautiful quiet garden and terrace with view on the Rwenzori Mountains. We serve excellent food. Our bread, cheese, ham, pesto, jam and ice cream are home made. We serve from juices, smoothies, salads, burgers to full meals.
We passed through Fort Portal on our trip to Uganda and had an amazing lunch at Dutchess. The food was fresh, tasty and unique. The staff was friendly and the service was excellent. The manager was inviting and helpful with questions we had about the area. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Had a really great stay here for 3 nights over NYE. The room was spacious and in a beautiful location overlooking the lake. The staff were all very friendly, helpful, and the food was excellent! It's a very peaceful place, great star show at night, and has all the amenities you'd expect for a safari lodge. It's very close to Kibale NP where we went chimp tracking, and a bit further to Semuliki, which we did a day trip to.

Very nice hotel, with perfectly helpful and friendly staff. William and Nema made our stay unforgettable. We hesitated going because of the distance but William called and asked to help, he was so polite that he made us really decide to come, he helped organise the crater and community tour. William and Nema together with the cook that made us the best dinners since we came to uganda add a perfect flavour to the view and make the experience worth it. They care soo much about little children. I will surely return. Thank you William and Nema and the very friendly cook whose name I didn’t get to know.

Privately owned Chimpundu Lodge offers Luxury cottage accommodation and an array of authentic Kibale National Forest experiences in a lush indigenous setting. Just 309km from Kampala, you can enjoy the true African experience and impeccable service offered by Chimpundu Lodge and Spa. Spend time relaxing with family and friends at the bar, enjoy memorable meals at the restaurant or at the swimming pool gazebo, or simply spend time reading a novel in the comfortable lounge. Cool off after a day of enthralling chimpanzee trekking with a refreshing dip in the swimming pool, and enjoy watching a favorite channel with loved ones on satellite TV in the lounge.
Spent a night at Chimpundu on my excursion, in search of the nearby 40+ crater lakes. Chimpundu has great staff, great food and their rooms are spacious and very comfortable. But the location, is perhaps the highlight of it all!

A budget friendly hostel with clean, comfortable rooms, on site restaurant, and beautiful views! Nestled in Western Uganda, with easy access to Queen Elizabeth, Murchison Falls, the Rwenzori Mountains, chimp trekking, and gorilla trekking.
I absolutely recommend Yes Hostel. There’s nothing I found disappointing. The dormitory rooms are clean, the food is very tasty, and the staff members are very friendly. There is hot water in the shower rooms and free soap and towels. And all of this for a very affordable price.

The hotel has a good ambiance. The service is top class. The rooms are very good. The property has multiple levels and hence in effect functions as a health resort. The food offered is good and options are wide. A vegetarian like me could survive there without difficulty and even enjoy the food too.

Koi Koi is perfectly located to visit the many attractions in Toro, Western Uganda and is within easy reach of three national parks. Our luxury rooms are extremely spacious. The ground floor rooms have their own garden and are suitable for families. The upper rooms have a balcony where you can relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the spectacular views of the Rwenzori mountain ranges. On site you will find a restaurant open to residents and walk-in guests. Our bar is stocked with a variety of local beers, wines, gins and whisky.
Good service and beautiful gardens filled with an unusually good variety of flowering plants. We just stopped by to have a look around and drink a fresh juice. Staff were attentive and we were served quickly. We had a tour of the banda-type rooms, which we liked. Very spacious, clean, each with its own modern fitted bathroom and separate balcony. This would be a good place for groups to stay especially if hiring conference rooms. There's a tiny chapel in the gardens. Kids’ activities (a zip line?) was being constructed at the time of writing. The fashion/ gift shop sells high quality products. I'd like to stay here if I was hosting one of my digital marketing training events. They have two venues for meetings / conferences.

Located on a hill, just outside the busy city of Port Portal. Nice hotel with good, clean rooms and a heavenly shower. Service was very friendly, food was good, location was nice and the service is very friendly. In the big gardens around the buildings, you can spot lots of birds, including Woolly-necked Storks (which was a nice surprise to me).
