We stayed here for 1 night and had a good stay. We really enjoyed using their indoor pool and jacuzzi spa. Their open lawns and views from the hotel are lovely. Rooms are decent. Overall we had a good stay. I don’t think they have 24 hour service , because when we returned to the hotel from dinner we had to punch in a code to enter the hotel.

A few days were enough for us because we were devoured by mosquitoes, It is a family hotel with a lot of charms, the staff was very good but the children of the clients made too much noise, total disappointment

Grand Hôtel Located at the edge of the Luberon and at the foot of the mountain of lure, Forcalquier former capital of Haute-Provence, full of history and vestige of its past, offers, a tempered climate, a quality of life all year long. The large hotel locqted at the foot of the old town, at the heart of the city, proposes you rooms with view on the garden and rooms with view on the boulevard which are quite soundproofed. 100 km from Avignon, from Marseille and from Gap, its tempered climate forges all the flavor of its olives, the flavors of its lavender and a quality of life all year long.
I stayed there for 11 nights. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. The bed is comfortable, there is no air conditioner but each room has a fan to keep it fresh if needed. The stairs didn’t bother me, on the contrary it was a good exercise for me. My room had a garden view so the street traffic didn’t bother me and the church bells I was going to hear wherever I stayed in Forcalquier. The location of the hotel is excellent, walking distance from the best restaurants, a pharmacy, ATM machine, a barber and a hair salon all next door to the hotel. The couple owning the hotel are professional and once you get to know them they are very welcoming, warm and they do their best to make you feel comfortable. Frankly, for the price per night, it was a great value. I definitely recommend it.

We stayed at St Lazare as part of a medical symposium. It is a beautiful location with a distant view of the summit of the town in the distance. The building is nicely restored but sadly has terrible mould, at least in the room we had. The vegan meals were excellent but appallingly over priced. 45 euros for a glorified salad and simple dessert. A glass of white wine was 10 euros. Our host managed the symposium well and her staff were very friendly.

My wife and I stayed at this lovely B&B when visiting the area in and around Forcalquier. The chambre d’hôtes is easy to find close to but just outside the town. Our room was nice & comfortable, the dining room/ lounge area is charming and relaxing and the garden space great. Breakfast was delicious - home made jams and locally sourced food. The patronne is extremely helpful and very very friendly

We stayed in a 2-bedroom gite here for 4 nights in May 2013. The gite itself was clean, comfortable, well made and well-equipped. Guillaume was a pleasure to deal with. The location is really quite close and convenient to to Forcalquier, and best accessed from there. However, we found the site so peaceful, we just sat on our verandah, read our books and looked a the scenery. Our attached photo perhaps shows why! I happen to be an amateur astronomer, and Forcalquier is near the major French observatory. Les Anes itself has a beautiful dark sky full of stars at night! We did not choose to do the donkey activities, but we did not feel they were necessary to a completely enjoyable stay.

"Les Grandes Mollieres" a bed and breakfast in a former coaching inn from the 17TH century, in the heart of Provence. Between field of lavender and wild landscape you will find the peace and quiet offered by the Haute Provence. During your stay in our spacious and friendly rooms in a Provencal spirit will offer you peace and rest, Cathy will offer around her table d ' hotes meal prepared with produce terroirs and season. Mediterranean cuisine that sings the Sun!
The location alone would make this a good place to stay. I arrived early and sat in a comfortable outdoors armchair under the gazebo reading my book while I was not admiring the view over Les Penitents at Les Mées. Cathy is very welcoming, the building (old and massive stone) interesting and clean, comfortable kingsize bed in large room, nice en-suite shower room and separate loo, garage for bikes. Supper started with apéritif vin de pêche and tapenade on toasted bread -delicious. Main meal was ok accompanied by generous wine - rosé or red. Everyone present at meal was cycling. Breakfast ok though bread a bit dry. Some have commented about difficult access but it is fine now - the road to the house has now been tarmacced. The wifi only works near the router because of the thick stone walls, but Cathy moved it to be as convenient as poss for me.

Nice farm in the countryside, but rooms haven't got air conditioned so be sure you don't book in the summer. It only refreshes late at night, with windows open. Being a farm I was expecting a bit more from breakfast, which was enough but definitely not remarkable. WiFi was not available in the rooms, but only outside the building. Overall nice and peaceful but lacks of accuracy, the details make the difference.
