We were a bunch of friends on a smashing off-road motorbike tour through Senegal. Stayed at Souimanga Lodge for three nights and were totally pleased. Great location in the mangroves, very friendly service, all lodge houses very comfortable and clean. The pool is rather small but sufficient, the sundowner out in the shallow waters delightful and the dinners varied and freshly prepared. We might have been a bit bored if we wouldn’t have had our KTM and HUSQVARNA bikes with us. But with some great trips to the exciting surroundings all was perfect.

We selected this location because it’s right on the waterfront, small quiet and cosy Plus points - Accessibility to the waterfront - Small and quiet - Friendly service - lots to do eg standup paddle, swimming, biking to nearby villages, walks or just chill Points to be considered - gazillion mosquitoes day and night - reservation - we had to book via Expedia since we can’t get through phone and it’s not avail on any other sites/ but when we arrived the staff told us they have been trying to get delisted on Expedia and don’t monitor bookings there. We were lucky to get a room and get refund from Expedia to pay them directly but it’s after a lot of follow ups. Expedia is a nightmare to deal with - no internet - this place hasn’t been touched up for a while. We are told owner passed away 2 years ago. So pool, room really needs a lot of touch up Restaurant is being rebuilt We only have coffee tea for breakfast. You will have to pack your own bread as there’s nothing nearby We settled Lunch and dinner at miam miam opposite and thank goodness for them as it’s in a quiet area with nothing else I will recommend this place for sure once they get the booking and facilities fixed

Nice place to stay on the sine saloum delta. The hotel offer nine authentic style bungalows, with all amenities. There is an excellent restaurant which serves as well senegaleses and europeans dishes from where you will enjoy the incredible view of the river. Many activities are proposedin the Hotel, Kayack, Padle, babyfoot, billard, trampolin, massage, hair dressing, manicur,as well as outside the hotel, visit of childwood kingdom of Poet Senghor, fishing parties, dugout tours of saloum islands, visit of farming school Kaidara.
Can't vouch for the rooms as we were booked elsewhere, but the food, sweet mother of pearl, the food! The classically-trained chef knocked out an impeccable sauce au poivre, one of the absolute best I've ever tasted, and my wife's fish was equally delicious. I actually teared up a bit while eating it. I mean, the place looked quite fancy, but it wasn't nutso expensive, and you just never know; but even now I am drooling a bit just thinking about that sauce. (The vegetables were cooked to perfection too, and yeah the steak was OK, cooked as I ordered, on the rare side of medium rare). It was a quiet night (we literally were the only customers) which is just a shame, the staff deserve a wider audience. If you are ANYWHERE NEAR the area, do go eat there. Just go.
