The Royal Oak is a warm and friendly pub and B&B. we welcome families to come and enjoy our facilities and have a wonderful play area to keep the children entertained. Our menu has a variety beyond the usual pub grub and we hope to tempt you with our specials and desserts.
We stayed here in May for a family wedding. The venue was lovely and we were made to feel very welcome. Everything was well organised, and we really enjoyed the food, especially the breakfasts. Thankyou for an amazing weekend. You made it very memorable :-)

Stay in our well-appointed, luxury accommodation and awake refreshed, ready to explore the beautiful East Coast and surrounding area. You will sleep on the world class Hypnos mattress, enjoy climate control convenience and have the latest rainfall power shower at your disposal.
Probably the best homemade pies we've eaten in a pub restaurant. Service in general was very good . At times the staff seemed to get flustered doing food and drink orders aswell as explaining how the pie availability board worked . We would certainly recommend our family and friends to visit the Piebald Inn

From the front of the pub the Three Tuns looks like a traditional old coach house. Unfortunately when you go in it is a dark, characterless, bland building. The decor needs completely updating as it looks like there hasn't been any investment in this for decades. When we mentioned where we were staying the locals just laughed and gave out some expletives about the place. It really is a crying shame I don't know the reasons for this neglect of the building, but this place has the potential to be a gem for Filey, but it needs a hell of a lot of money injecting into it.

We stayed in a house on the parade, the accommodation was fine, it was the overall park we weren't impressed with. We booked through sykes holidays and on their advert it stated parking for 2 cars. What it didn't make clear was that the parking was anywhere you could find it on the site not outside your accommodation. If we parked on the road outside the accommodation we got "tickets" from security to move the car as to not block the road incase of "emergency vehicle access". The road was plenty big enough for a double decker bus to pass through even with cars parked. Also the security cars and cleaning vans parked on this road, so one rule for one and one for another? There were no signs up saying you couldn't park on the road either? Half way through our holiday double yellow lines were painted on through the park! Honestly this is meant to be a holiday park! I would not have booked an accommodation I could not park right near due to having 2 young children. We had swimming booked, this was cancelled last minute due to a "technical issue in the plant room" which the reception staff at the leisure centre informed me they would need to wait for a technician to come out to fix. However another member of staff let slip that it was just that they had run out of chlorine and were waiting for a delivery! So of course our children were disappointed with this last minute cancellation. The swimming has to be pre-booked so if you miss your slot you can't just turn up later. The arcade had opening times up on the door, however staff were not on duty to open at the advertised times and there was no posters to advise of any changes or delays. We asked a staff member in the pub when it would be open, she said she could open it but couldn't help with it because that person isn't in until 4pm it should have been open at 12noon. And of course the machines didn't work properly and so no one to help! Again children disappointed again. We have stayed at the bay twice before in previous years and never had a problem but it seems to have gone down hill. We won't be staying again.

Occupying a unique position in the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside, The Darling Suites offer an opportunity to relax and unwind in spacious luxury accommodation. We have two stunning suites for you to choose from: The Red One, a cosy country hideaway for up to four guests, and The Blue One, a quirky and colourful one-bedroom retreat. We hope to welcome you soon!
My wife and I have just spent two idyllic days at the wonderful Darling Suites. Being selfish, I was tempted to give a poor review to limit the people that might visit and therefore ensure that we are always able to get in. However, this would be unfair on the remarkable hosts Mark and Tina. It would also deprive potential visitors of a truly wonderful experience. The two self contained suites are situated in a 15 acre farm which hosts an animal rescue farm. Currently there are about 120 animals in residence. Mark and Tina are passionate about the animals and the quality of the venue. Our suite was made up of 3 rooms; bedroom, bathroom and a lounge which also had a dinner table. Breakfast, which was fabulous, is delivered to the suite at a chosen time. The suite has two smart TVs and a reclining settee. We have been trying to find the right description for this place as B&B does not do it justice. The only description we have come up with so far is a boutique hideaway. Tranquil, beautiful location and a haven for animal lovers. Nothing is too much trouble for Mark and Tina and we were even given a lovely cake to take home. I rarely give anywhere full marks but this place I most certainly would. A little piece of heaven to which we are returning later this year.

Dale Farm is a 200 year old farmhouse set in the Yorkshire Wolds and close to the stunning Yorkshire Coast. Fully refurbished accommodation includes cosy B&B rooms, luxurious self-contained studios, a summerhouse and 3 pretty 'Glamping' cabins in the woodland. Ideal for walkers and cyclists, some of the accommodation is dog friendly. Open all year.
Stayed in the grain store for three nights. We were greeted with a friendly welcome on arrival. We had brought our own breakfast and even our own logs as we saw there was a wood burner. The grain store has a shower room with a powerful shower and hot water. The kitchen is more basic than we expected - there’s only a microwave, fridge and sink. No hob of any kind which is a shame as a little two ring camping has hob would suffice. Getting up and down the stairs to bed was somewhat challenging (especially after a few drinks) . The bed is just a mattress on the floor but it was ok. If you take your dog, all dogs have a free run in the grounds which was great. There’s an outside bbq and fire pit as well as a seating area. If you’re aracnaphobic, remember you’re staying in the woods - there were plenty of spiders about inside the grain store. Overall, it was a pleasant, quirky experience but we wouldn’t stay again primarily because of the lack of walks to the coast. You can either walk along path-less roads or drive to hunmanby gap and pay £5 to park, then walk to Filey. If you want to go out for a drink you’re a bit snookered really. At £125 per night, you could stay in a very nice hotel. I guess it depends what you’d prefer.

Tried to order food at white swan at 1.45 on sat afternoon was only a ploughman’s salad was told too busy no food was being ordered. Don’t bother going. Unfriendly staff so just left and went somewhere else. Money spends anywhere but you would think after Covid pubs would want your custom. Disappointed.
