Reviewed By scaduanaMy family and I chose to spend a last minute half week stay here without much research or expectation of what was in the area -- we were blown away by this gem! It's one of those places where you visit and feel like you've walked into a family gathering and you're welcomed with open arms. Even outside the hotel & restaurant, we've had nothing but kindness from the people in town. I found the accommodation to be very comfortable and spacious -- a really good value for what we paid! Now the restaurant is what solidified our stay. They grow the grapes and make the amazing wine you drink, the food is as local as it can be and was the best we have eaten in the Mosel area and the entire few weeks we spent in Germany. For the moms out there, Gabriele had managed to do the impossible -- convince my picky and cranky daughter to eat food out of her comfort zone -- which she had enjoyed immensely that she looked forward to eating there again. I feel like little kids know when food is cooked with love. If this place can create such a significant impression to me AND my children...I think it means it's a special place indeed. We hope to be back!

Aufgrund des in vielen Jahren gewachsenen Hauses ergeben sich ganz individuelle Zimmer - keines ist wie das andere. Unser Hotel ist bekannt für seine gute, vom Chef persönlich geführte junge und frische Küche. Es erwarten Sie Wild- und Fischspezialitäten, saisonale Angebote und feinste kulinarische Köstlichkeiten. Am Nachmittag läd die große Sonnenterrasse ein, sich bei Kaffee, hausgebackenen Kuchen und Eis eine Verschnaufpause zu gönnen, nach wandern, radfahren oder einem Schiffsausflug.
Lovely hotel in heart of Moselle wine region
Reviewed By JuliaB402Stayed in Zum Lowen for five nights. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel. It is old fashioned, but charming. It is right on the banks of the Moselle river and in the heart of Ediger Eller, which is a lovely old town. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We particularly enjoyed the food: breakfast had a good range of hot and cold dishes and dinner was excellent. There were regional specialities that we really enjoyed. The wines were good as well.

Pension Rehschopp - we offer bed & breakfast in the beautiful wine village of Ediger-Eller on the banks of the Mosel…perfectly located between Zell and Cochem your home away from home! Although we are only 70 metres from the Mosel Pension Rehschopp offers a quiet haven and a place to rest after a busy day of sightseeing and tasting the fine food and wines of the region or for the more active visitor there is extensive hiking and cycling trails, canoeing and golf nearby…after all of this why not enjoy a relaxing drink on our terraces soaking up the sun in the daytime and watching the stars at night.

Reviewed By Enca HWe stayed for six nights along with another couple. The village of Ediger-Eller nestled along the Mosel is simply beautiful at this time of year. Pension Rehschopp is situated a short walk away from the river in a very quiet location. It is a very clean, comfortable bed and breakfast run by John and Cath who excelled as hosts - super friendly, nothing was too much trouble and always willing to give advice on local attractions and customs. Wonderful, filling breakfasts started each day, great patio areas to enjoy a drink overlooking the vineyards, as well as a well equipped games room. Thoroughly recommend staying at this very personal, family run bed and breakfast.

Newer furniture and fixtures. They put some Serious money into modernizing. Quality work. Clean throughout. Ours was a bright, cheerful room away from the street. Quiet. Our balcony looked almost in window of house behind us. Old European villages such is the case. Not a problem. Cool, damp weather, we did not use balcony.. Bathroom modern and clean. Complimentary breakfast in restaurant very generous, Many choices. Attendants very helpful and friendly. Parking included. Overall rating: 4.5 on scale of 5. I would stay again. Bonus of this location: excellent Restaurant Schinnen right around the next block. Looks like hole in wall with a hole in roof. Husband and wife run the place. Food is outstanding, prices righteous, The locals come often. A 4.5 on scale of 5. Also, Zems Wine Cellar twelve min. walk has a really neat atmosphere with low barrel vault ceilings. A 4 on scale 5.

Die Inhaber Brian und seine Frau haben es geschafft, dass wir uns wie zuhause gefühlt haben. Vielen lieben Dank! Die Zimmer sind gemütlich, eine Terrasse lädt zum Verweilen ein, das Frühstück ist super!!! Parkplätze sind vorhanden. Immer gerne wieder….

We were made to feel welcome by our friendly (English speaking) host who wanted to ensure we enjoyed our short stay. This isn't a luxury hotel but it is typically German - clean, functional and an excellent self-service breakfast. And reasonably priced. We had a good room overlooking the river. Only real downside was the paper thin walls - we could hear the next rooms TV clearly! But this would be a good base to enjoy the Mosel. Nicer than nearby Cochem which is too touristy. We went to the Nurburgring for the Grand Prix from here - just 45 minutes.

Reviewed By bianchesstayed there one night while walking the Moselsteig (long distance trail). The owner, Frau Feiden, was super kind, offered to give us breakfast an hour earlier than standard (7.15 instead of 8.15). The room was impeccable, with that feeling of cozy pine wood furniture. Chocolate on the pillow, complimentary mineral water, view over the roofs of the charming Ediger village. Breakfast copious, rich and varied, including the famous red peach (Weinberg-pfirsig) home made jam. Promised to come back!

Reviewed By Jand898Wat een heerlijke bed & breakfast. Zoveel gastvrijheid, prachtige kamers met heerlijke bedden en nieuw sanitair en een riant ontbijt. Voor de deur parkeren, fietsen ‘s avonds veilig binnen en het fietspad langs de Moezel ligt aan de overkant. Fantastische fietspaden tussen de hellingen met wijnranken en alles vlak.

Reviewed By Voyage759654We were just guests in the hotel's restaurant. Loved the food, the wine, the nice terrace and the friendly waiter. Their salads are amazing, great taste! They call it 'verrückte Salat' and they are in fact huge! Loved it.o
