Excellent afternoon tea, possibly the best in Nottingham. Very efficient service, attentive but not over done. Congratulations to Carl and Cristina for their excellent presentation and the selection of items offered. Not easy to find the hotel, but well worth the effort. Looking forward to our next visit.

Few days in Skeg

Reviewed By Abbyxo

We do love a premier inn, but for some reason i was always skeptical over using the one at Skegness seafront (think it had been down to the argument of taking away business from other hoteliers along the front that had been there years). However, for whatever reason I changed my mind and booked for a few days away. We stayed in one of the premier rooms, so had a good side view of part of the pier/ fair/ beach. Staff were welcoming, no matter who you encountered there was always a smile on their face and they evidently took pride in their service. Being midweek outside of school holidays - breakfast time was quiet on both mornings. Plates were hot, as was the food with plenty to choose from. They were offering poached eggs and porridge by order only so if you wanted those items they were very fresh. The pub attached was open for meals into the evening as well, we didn’t use this but you could see it was a popular choice for visitors and hotel residents as there was always someone in. Great location for all main seafront activities (pier / seal sanctuary / fair and arcades). Will come back again if we have a few days at the coast. Good thing about the hotel is that there is ample parking and it’s free! There is also a shop across the road that sells essentials if you run out or forget to pack things.

Noisy and Expensive

Reviewed By Nelldex

I stayed for 1 night on the 8th June for Business. I paid £179 for the night. I was told I had been upgraded for free which i thought was nice of them! Whilst the room looked OK the shower cubicle is tiny and suitable for a small child not an adult. When I found a set of complimentary ear plugs on the bedside table it became clear it will be a noisy place to stay. The room AC unit was noisy and did not work so as the room was hot so I used the fan that was in the wardrobe. You really do need to use the earplugs as all you can hear is the multiple AC units belonging to other rooms churning away. I would not recommend this place and certainly not worth £179 per night!

One of the best and most romantic hotel we’ve had the pleasure of enjoying

What can we really say, apart from absolutely incredible from start to finish , we were there celebrating my husbands birthday and we will 110% be back with or without an occasion to celebrate, the staff were so friendly and very welcoming, check in was easy, we made our way to one of the hotels hot tub balcony suites and it’s safe to say there was nothing to disappoint us, they had decorated the bed with petals as I requested and we were given a lovely selection of extras in the fridge, the room was absolutely spotless and beautiful, the hot tub, hot extremely clean and so much fun and to be able to just sit and relax and enjoy a few drinks together, we didn’t want to get out, we ordered from the room service menu of which I have photos because it’s the only thing that I couldn’t find from any photos or reviews before our stay and I think that is helpful to see before you visit, all I can say is the food was phenomenal, we had gammon and the steak and shared between us, it’s has to be the best room service I’ve ever had when staying in any hotel so if you are going then honestly treat yourselves you won’t regret it, the jacuzzi bath was also amazing and a fantastic way to wake yourself up in the morning after sleeping so well the night before The breakfast you have two options to have it delivered to your room or to go to the hotel restaurant which we decided to do and again there is nothing at all I could fault it was delicious and plenty of options We went back up to the room and couldn’t resist having another hour in the hot tub before checking out Honestly if your looking for an incredible and romantic stay or even a relaxing stay somewhere when on business this really is a lovely hotel Thankyou to all the staff and we will definitely be back to see you again soon

Last minute booking

Our daughter who is at University in Nottingham landed up in hospital and we landed up rushing up to Nottingham and booking online while on our way up. We can not fault the service we received. We originally booked 2 nights accommodation and kept extending our stay day by day as the need arose to be up in Nottingham longer. We had a lovely spacious room with lovely modern decor and bathroom that was equally lovely. Beds were extremely comfortable with cotton linen. Bath towels were lovely and fluffy. Lovely toiletries provided in the bathroom. In the wardrobe were lovely fluffy bath robes and slippers, an iron and ironing board. The room facilities also included a kettle, cups to make hot beverages. We found it really handy that the rooms all have mini fridges where we were able to keep food chilled. All the staff in the hotel were extremely friendly and very helpful, including the food and beverages staff, house keeping and front of house. A special mention goes to Nicola on the front desk who was extremely accommodating and alway did her best to ensure we got the very best room rate for us each time we needed to extend our stay. We would definitely stay here in the future when visiting Nottingham. There was ample parking which was free. The hotel location is perfectly situated to get to from the motorway and easy access to the city centre. The setting is gorgeous with a moat in front of the hotel with geese and ducks paddling in the water. We felt like we were in the country with this gorgeous setting. We felt well looked after would not hesitate in recommending this lovely hotel to others.
