Awful experience after cancelled flight
Reviewed By Rachel SWe were given a link to a website to book this hotel after our flight was canceled, while we were at the airpot. We booked and paid for the reservation and went to the hotel. The desk staff informed the many people waiting on this long slow line that even if they booked, if it was "third party" then they may not have a reservation. Further, they used this "third party" excuse for everything, including the slowness, not providing receipts, and overall the lack of rooms even if people booked far in advance. Many people had booked weeks ago and had no rooms and had to sleep in the lobby. We got our room, and the woman who checked us in was extremely rude, and said that "third party" was not their problem, that no hotels provide receipts or guarantees with "third party." Meanwhile nobody knew this, I explained we got this link at the airport and the hotel works with these "third parties" obviously and that we paid for the room. They told us and everyone that if we had a problem we would have to contact the "third party." In the morning they struggled to call a taxi, not even knowing the numbers, and this is right next to the airpot! For nearly $300 for the one night, this was all surprising. Such an awful experience, never would we stay here again.

GREAT following Cancelled Flight
Reviewed By ThisFamilyTravelsOur daughter's evening flight was cancelled, with no other options for a late flight to the West Coast. We panicked a bit, knowing that she was at LGA alone - with us on the opposite coast. LaGuardia Marriott to the rescue! We booked immediately and she was on the shuttle within 15 minutes. She told us that the shuttle driver wouldn't allow any passengers onto the shuttle, who could not show proof of a hotel reservation - we appreciated this extra level of security. Our daughter said that check-in was easy and the staff was not only professional / polite, but seeing that she was alone, provided extra "comfort" and ensured her security. She was given a nice room next to the elevator, on the 6th floor. She rode the elevator up with two other business women. She ate at the restaurant (take-out) and she said that the food was good. The shuttle returned her to the airport at 5:00 a.m. and we are VERY THANKFUL TO THE LAGUARDIA MARRIOTT FOR TAKING CARE OF OUR COLLEGE STUDENT DAUGHTER when we couldn't be there. Thank you for easing our worries and for your professionalism. Our daughter said that she would not hesitate to stay here again.

OMG! & UGH!!
Reviewed By crhon9So, the hubby & I took a short trip 2NY & stayed here for 2nights. Where 2begin? There's only about 10parking spots (1being 4handicap), but, to b honest, the free parking is what landed us there. 3of those spots were taken when we arrived. The floors weren't vacuumed properly. There was no microwave. There was a refrigerator, the freezer portion of which contained an empty ice tray which was the only thing that would fit as it severely needed defrosting. There was no closet but there were 3hangers hanging on the wall by a mirror. There was an iron & board. There was a coffee/tea maker. There was no Bible. There was A/C but, it was weird. When on, you're both cold & hot alternately. Never quite comfortable. After checking in, we went out 4a bit. When we returned, we saw a giant rat running from where I think they store the garbage. Ugh. Both nights, we stuffed the bottom of the door w/towels cuz I was able to slide my whole finger underneath the door. That's enuf room 4those rodents. Ugh. When the hubby called for more towels he was told he had 2w8 4some1 2call him back. Say wut now? He left the room & returned w/towels. I didn't ask any questions. So my side of the bed had a lumpy noisy spring of sorts. I wasn't getting stuck by anything but I felt the lump & when I moved it made sounds. Ugh. The 1st night we were woken up 'bout 5AM(!) by a door opening & closing, over & over & over. Ugh. We learned later there were several children in a room very near to us. Y do kids wake so early? Breakfast was different. It's a Grab & Go Bag Breakfast which contained a croissant, an orange, a granola bar and a bottle of juice (I think 1 was orange & 1 was apple). Not 2bad, I guess considering Covid is still a thing. So, although parking was free, there were a few things we had 2deal with. I'm glad it was only a 2day stay.

The lobby looks like a shelter & our room 204 had a BULLET HOLE IN THE WINDOW! trying to save ATLEAST 1 family from the horror we saw. Aloft is closer to the airport & was cheaper than this dump.
