The town is also horrible and I guess this hotel follows suite to the environment. Never have I ever seen such nasty restrooms and showers. I felt dirty just getting in the bed. We had booked 8 rooms for a travel softball team and all the responses were the same.

I use WiFi in my iPad to check and reply emails, and sometimes to work on spreadsheets, and before bed to watch my shows. No couldn't do it because the WiFi was too slow or didn't connect. I went to work at 7AM and I came back at 8PM and the bed was not done.

Don't even stop, We were charged for a room the day after checking out. They said the computer was down and could not print a receipt. I had my printed reservation and ask manager to sign it when checking out. Then they charged me for another day. Needless to say I am not happy. They advertised a hot breakfast and had NOTHING. There was only one coffee urn, only dry creamer with a scoop inside. Very unsanitary and disgusting. The room had a little coffee pot with one pack of coffee, no cups, creamer etc. Plus, only two towels and one washcloth. We will not return Choice Hotels should shut them down.

The images online portrayed the property as extremely clean and this is what I thought I would be getting for over $150 for a single night. My husband and I noticed that the floors were sticky immediately after entering the room. I walked from the door to the end of the room and could feel and hear my sandals sticking to the floor. On top of that we noticed two large arms and hands above the bed on the wall...it didn’t really leave too much to the imagination to realize what these were from. My husband took photos and brought this to the staffs attention and requested a new room. They refused and said it was from the maintenance man working on something. The only others items in that area are the bed frame headboard and picture. They agreed to mop the floor but I found areas were still sticky. They did nothing for the wall arm imprints, they were still there. My poor husband tried cleaning the wall and dirty headboard but we could still see an outline on the wall. First and last time staying here. I’m pregnant so this just made the stay very uncomfortable knowing that that was above my bed frame. They should be ashamed for not acknowledging what was plainly on the wall. We stuck it out because we really had no where else to stay. Photos attached.

Hotel was friendly with updated rooms. All that I saw had wood flooring and stand up showers. If you want a tub you have to request an ADA room. Pluses: Price Location (near downtown and easy to get to casino). Close to border Very well light parking lot - great for safety Staff is great WiFi Easy in and out of parking lot Down side: No breakfast Train track that is close runs a lot at night and has a loud horn. Keeps you up. No pool. Small parking lot Only a few restaurants within walking distance Overall still recommend.

Horrible Place. Front desk clerk “Karen Martinez” is condescending and unprofessional. My stay was Monday and Tuesday…with a possibility of early check out on Tuesday due to work schedule. I had early check-in on Monday and I arrived at the hotel but Karen told me very rude without looking me in the eye no rooms are available and to come back at 3pm….I came back at 3:50pm. I checked out Tuesday at 2:25pm…and was told I would be charged for the extra night because I didn’t give them 24hr notice. I explained I found out minutes before and when I checked in I advise them of the possibility of early checkout. “As per Marriott Bonvoy: 4 p.m. Late Checkout Guaranteed 4 p.m. late checkout,” ….but Karen would not honor that. She told me if I’m not in agreement to call the General Manager. I spoke to GM of the shortcomings of the hotel and hotel staff. I opened a case with Marriott Bonvoy and the Karen Martinez told them that she spoke to me and I was in agreement with the outcome….that was a lie. I called Marriott Bonvoy today and I was told they closed my case because Karen told them she spoke to me and everything was good. They don’t care about visitors or vacationers since they are charging the government for Texas DPS and Texas National Guard government rates and are typically filled up….it will end soon and they will need from us visitors and vacationer to sustain. Don’t stay at this place: paper thin walls, ants in the bed and in bathroom sink, stains in bathroom and algae build up/stain in shower floor, stains on room door, food disposal horrible stink, and trash bins outside are always full and overflowing. Horrible hotel front desk clerk Karen…insincere, deceiver, complaisant, and patronizing!!

The common areas were dirty, particularly the floors and walls. The stairwells were the dirtiest. Outer doors and stairwell doors did not function properly. The floor, bathroom, and doors in my room were not clean. The phone was broken. The hot tub was closed. The pool was closed for maintenance. When I booked the room, months in advance, I specifically requested a room on the back side of the building away from the highway and on the top floor. When I checked in, they put me in a front corner room on the middle floor with two walls facing the roads. It was probably the noisiest room in the hotel, and traffic on the highway kept me up at night. The walls were thin and didn’t do much to block the sounds of loud guests. I heard the people in the room above me stomping around at all hours of the night. The manager was apathetic and refused to let me change rooms for each of the three nights I stayed. I would have checked out and stayed at another hotel, but other hotels in the area were full. Stay someplace cleaner and more well-managed.

Open until today I was having a good experience, but I came in and found that the person behind the desk was very inattentive, and seemed to be more interested in the computer fighting game he was playing than in intending to customers. He seem to have a bit of an attitude, was not very responsive, and seemed very bothered that customer service was interrupting his gameplay. Generally speaking, I hate to complain, I hate to give bad reviews, but this was unacceptable.

Older motel on the north side of town. Situated conveniently right on highway 277 and near fast food, gas stations and a dollar store next door. No pool or outdoor amenities. Room was mostly clean but has wear and tear and needs a facelift. Bed was comfortable. Parking lot was very well lit. Only disturbance was a police or border patrol car siren at 2 AM. There was no breakfast offered when we stayed in July 2021. Price was high for the accommodation. International bridge is a 8-10 minute drive away.
