Ok for passing by - don't make this your holiday home
Reviewed By Christopher Jam... WWe rented a family room for one night in July. Would not recommend more than a night for passing by. The room is a little dated, but bed was comfy enough. Very good size room, and the room actually consists of a room nr 2 with two smaller child beds. Perfect for a family of four. Nice guy at check in. Small led tv in room and small fridge. Nice toilet/shower. Be sure to ask for a room away from the E6, or there will be a lot of traffic noise. Breakfast was adequate with warm eggs and bacon, nice bread and bread rolls, selection otherwise was ok ÷. Dinner tasted like food warmed in a micro. The place is family driven, for better or worse... For instance it states free WiFi, but it is unstable, and so slow it is impossible to use. All modern hotels have high speed WiFi in year 2020 in Norway. Speed tested to +- 1 mbit in room without the place being packed out... Netflix and even normal surfing was too slow. Also, the place is advertised with a summer pool, which would be included in the price in any normal hotel. On their web page and Facebook it is _NOT_ stated that it actually costs 30kr pr person pr day for guests! 50kr if your not a guest. Although not expensive compared to most things in Norway, for a big family staying for a week it would amount to quite a lot just to have a quick swim. Somehow feels like you are tricked having to pay pr person pr day when they do not state it before you actually arrive. Update your web page asap.

Ok for one night sleep
Reviewed By HaakanN51A boring and simple hotel, or BB. Without any extras. It is time for some reconstructions! It looks clean and the staff was helpful. We did not have any dinner because of late arrival. Breafast was simple but we got enough. For just to sleep over this was OK. And the price was good!

A great new look.
Reviewed By Neil03091947This is the first time back at this hotel after the fire & rebuild. This hotel is very central in Dombås town, which is a crossroads for Oslo, Trondheim & Ålesund area. We stayed in the new part of the hotel, choosing a larger room, with the bedroom upstairs. This gave more space on the maun floor. These upgraded rooms should have had a balcony, for the price.

Reviewed By DirkV650We booked a two bed room apartment in a house next to the restaurant. All wood , pleasantly spacious , good kitchen . Friendly staff . Even though my bedroom was on the street side you could sleep with an open window . Great pillows and duvets . I would stay here again . Have not eaten at the restaurant .

Reviewed By Ian GI ordered a family cabin which was suppsoed to consist of two double beds. We actually got two single beds in one room and for bunk beds in the other room. The cabin itself was nice. Basic but nice. Luckily we had our own bed linen as some were stained with urine. Young man on check out was not a happy person for some reason. Never said thank you on payment or bye on departure. The other woman who was with him never even acknowledged us. Would I stay again? If I was in the area, maybe. It's cheap enough.

Cool & comfortable
Reviewed By 434astridnTogether with a friend we spent two nights at this friendly place where you can dine or just settle for a glass of wine, normally these places are separate. All the better when the owner sits down for a little talk and make people connect if they want to. The place is run by a young couple and the service is good, the food spectacular and can only compared to restaurants in town. We also went on an muskox safari, and saw three close up and fifteen or so altogether. Excellent guide, comfortable walk in a beautiful terrain. We were hiking along the pilgrimage route.

Reviewed By 584katjabGood standard on this hostell at Dovre. The room are simple but clean and with good beds. The Staff is friendly. The food is very good and are homemade and gives a good introduction to the Norwegian food. This is a good place to stay if you want to go on Moskussafari or walk the top to Snøhetta. The only thing Missing was the dry-room that did not worked to well for drying clothes after heavy rain..

Step back in time
Reviewed By high_low73Very convenient and fairly cheap accommodation along E6. Reception is at the gas station. Staff was very friendly and smiling. Cabin is a few metres down towards the river. Cabins includes a bathroom, living room and a small kitchen. In the kitchen were also beds. I found the cabin perfectly suitable for a nights sleep. Most amazingly were the feeling of stepping back in time. If I didn't know better I easily could believe I found myself back in the late 70s or early 80s. Even the brochure, added to help me find the cabin, did enhance this feeling.

Reviewed By deadlinediggThe guesthouse doubles as a chinese restaurant. The restaurant however, was closed, so ended up having moose for dinner in Dombås center. The moose was great. The manager had left keys, so pretty much had the place to ourselves, feeling a bit “all work no play” - no nightmares though. Shower on the hall and clean beds.
