We stayed two nights as a base from which to take a bus into Venice. it worked great for that as the bus stops to and from were quite close and convenient. The hotel is in an old building by a canal and the main road in town. So, looking to the canal would likely be more quiet but we had one that looked to town and had a window to the road. Earplugs made things manageable. The property was in decent repair and the managers and desk folks helpful. Parking on site limited but not a problem for us. Breakfast was typical Italian but no way to warm or toast any bread. No reason for not having a token toaster. Sure wish the room had at least one luggage rack so we could open our bags but no, so both bags end up on the floor. We had dinner one night downstairs and the food was very good, as was the service. But, a bit pricey, perhaps as we should have expected. the cost to sit down was 5 euro each. Most expensive in our three weeks in Italy. They started with a nice glass of 'complimentary' proseco followed with an appetizer, also offered before we were able to fully order. Gamberion and other items and quite fun to eat. Our scallop appetizor was artfully presented but we got one 'large' scallop that was about 3 cm with four small ones about 1 cm across. This was too small for the price charged. After our last dish of fish, we were offered a small scoop of a sorbet. when the bill arrived, we were charged for the sorbet, about 10 euro! We left dinner feeling 'taken', set up by the other complementary morse3ls. Otherwise, our experience would have been pretty good. Now we are sour and would not return. They could have done this differently but chose to bump the bill at our expense.

Casa A Colori In Dolo Is Also Popular For The Services Included, Such As Convenient Parking, Elevator, Handicapped Accessible Rooms, Free Internet Access, Private Bath In Every Room And An Excellent Italian-style Breakfast.
I stayed in this hotel with a group for about a week. The people there are friendly and can speak English. The rooms are big and they all have a shower and a toilet. At the reception they can give you explanations about Venice and about Padua. They have also maps about those 2 cities. The internet is working well. They make up the bed daily and clean the rooms regularly. Next door is a restaurant with food for the evening. One minus thing they have airco but it is not working, they have also ventilators. I would highly recommend this place to you!

Hotel Villa Gasparini is located along the Riviera del Brenta, between the historical cities of Padua and Venice, bus stop in front of the hotel and boat stop to St. Mark's at 8 kms far. The hotel was built in the 18th century by the ancestors of the owners, the noble Venetian family of the Gasparinis. The Palazzetto(literally 'little palace'), which used to be a noble summer mansion in the past, was renovated and converted into a hotel in 2006. Renovation works were carried out with the objective of maintaining the true spirit of its glorious past and the charm of its family ambiance. Today the hotel can offer 15 rooms, each of them representing a perfect combination of Venetian classicism and modern comforts: the ideal place to spend some quality time, relax and enjoy Italian art.
My best friend booked this hotel on Expedia 1.5 years ago, cancelled in line with the cancellation policy and never received a refund. A few months later, Michaela from hotel villa took £250 from my friends bank account for no reason and she is now missing £500! We are fighting to get this back in any way we can.

Built in 1884, by a Venetian nobleman, Count Giulio Rocca, Villa Ducale is situated in a magnificent park along the shores of the Brenta River. A mere 15/20 minutes from romantic Venice and ancient Padua, Villa Ducale offers an ideal starting point for discovering the Veneto countryside. Public buses stop right in front of the Hotel's gate and provide a direct service from Dolo to these two cities of art. Villa Ducale offers 11 rooms with high ceilings, frescoed walls, and warm wooden floors all furnished in pure Venetian style. Every room offers the comfort of a mini-bar, safe deposit box, mtv, direct line telephone, bathtub or shower en suite. All rooms offer views over the ancient park. Villa Ducale offers genuine Venetian cuisine in its restaurant. Free wi-fi for the guests.
Hotel Antique but it’s really unhygienic, dirty and full of dust. Bathroom is speechless. I called room service to clean toilet. Hotel reception is not professional and dishonest. I planed to stay 3 nights but changed my mind what I found inside the room. I paid €160 for a night instead of €120. I will never ever try it again.

Laura and Roberto welcome you to the Bed and Breakfast Casa Taty, located in Dolo, a beautiful and lively town surrounded by many Venetian Villas along the famous Brenta Canal, halfway between two wonderful art cities like Venice and Padua.
I almost feel guilty for rating this property down as the owner is extremely helpful and welcoming. Her English is also very good. The property is clean, simple and comfortable. There was one main issue, we could not get much sleep. The noise from the guests upstairs at 3 in the morning and 6 am the next day was not appreciated. The floors an ceilings are paper thin so everything from foot steps to conversation and TV can be heard. The breakfast is simple Italian biscuits and pastry (supermarket packaged). You are responsible to make your own breakfast and clear up afterwards but you can also cook at lunch time and dinner yourself. You will have the use of the fridge and freezer, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, pans, oil etc. This is more like a self contained accommodation rather than a B&B. You don't see the host that much but she is available on the phone and will sort things out if any problem. The supermarket is only 2 minutes away. Dolo is a little town with a few shops and lovely coffee shops. Close to Venice, can catch the bus.

Gian-Luca and Monica are the sweetest hosts, their B&B ist tended to with so much care and attention to detail. All is very clean, very beautifully and cosily equipped. The B&B has a garden and access to the river so you can sit outside and enjoy the evening by the water. The breakfast is delicious, they offer everything, fresh fruits, jogurt, cheese, sausage, jam, nutella, bread, musli, many different cakes and sweets, croissont, tea and delicious coffee. The place can easily be reached also by public transportation. (take the 53 E bus from Venice or Padova for example) As it is right in the center of so many interesting sites and cities, it is the perfect base for sightseeing The hosts are very helpful with touristic advice and also offer rental bikes with bike route maps (which by the way Gian Luca created himself)

In the heart of the Brenta Riviera, in an 18th-century villa, you will find the summer residence of the noble Venetian Fini family. It is here that we have the pleasure of welcoming our guests and endeavouring to make their stay with us an unforgettable experience. The hotel offers a 24/7 reception desk, where the personnel will be delighted to provide you with any information you may require to enhance your stay and to book guided tours and excursions on your behalf. The hotel offers breakfast and the restaurant is the perfect place to dine, both indoors and even al fresco, in the garden, during the summer. The rooms are furnished in the Venetian style with relaxing shades of ivory and green, embellished by Murano glass chandeliers. Some of the rooms have views over the canal. On request, small dogs are permitted.
We chose this hotel as a reasonably priced base for travel to Venice. Travel to Venice was very easy from here. The hotel itself was really more like a B&B. The owners are passionate about their business and will go the extra mile to make you happy. They have a wonderful restaurant for dinner. Breakfast isn't the buffet style typical of most European hotels but Donatella was eager to provide whatever we asked for in addition to the freshly baked pastries that she put out. The rooms were a good size. We found one of our rooms to be a bit musty but we are from a very dry part of the world so maybe this is more commonplace than we are used to. The first shower of the day didn't get the hottest water, it was lukewarm at best. They have very good secure parking. They are on a busy road. We would recommend a room not facing the street if you are a light sleeper. It is also not a great location if you like to go walking as there are no sidewalks and the typical Italian drivers are all going quite fast. You are better off to drive to the nearby town centre to go for a walk. Overall, the excellent service more than made up for the minor negatives.
