It was my first time camping and it was a wonderful experience. I ended up staying longer than planned. I felt at home since I arrived. The Camping has everything you might need and more. All areas were really clean. There’s a swimming pool, a couple of restaurants and bars, a mini zoo, a wellness center, a lot of green areas. Totally recommended. Plus, the personal is very helpful and kind.

Staying at the hotel the night before we started walking Alta Via 1, the hotel is conveniently located next to the Cortina bus stop and a 15-20 minute walk into town. The staff were very welcoming and managing to operate the hotel in a very professional and safe manor. Like many others, we ate Pizza in the restaurant, which was actually very good with great service.

The Hotel Schopfenhof is most pleasantly situated on one of the most sunny hills of the Alta Val Pusteria on 1343 above the sea and is at equal short distance from two both historically and artistically rich towns, San Candido e Dobbiaco.
We chose this hotel because of the panorama pictures we saw, and we weren't disappointed. You have spectacular views from the hotel grounds and the rooms. The rooms are large, clean, but pretty basic. It doesn't amaze you in any way. The restaurant is nice, dinner is very good (not "wow", but good). The breakfast on the other hand is pretty poor. On our fourth day we were just tired of the same things. If you're travelling with kids, they have some kind of small play room somewhere in the building, which was very useful for us, early in the mornings :) There are a lot of german guests in the hotel, and you do get the impression that the staff tends to be more helpful to them, than other guests, as most staff speaks only German :) The surroundings are good, there are a lot of fun things to do for families in the area. If we would come back to this area, we would definitely choose this hotel again.

We have just spent a winter week in this fabulous alpine family hotel in the heart of the Südtirol, overlooking the beautiful and majestic Dolomites. What a wonderful and special place this is. We stayed in a lodge - a spacious double room overlooking the mountains - in the new wing of the hotel that includes the spa. The room was extremely comfortable, absolutely spotless, and it was a pleasure to come back to after a day spent outdoors. The fabulous spa is a real bonus and one of highlights of a stay here - it has been done with such care and unique style and is possibly the best spa hotel we have ever stayed at. We loved the outdoor pool, lying in the fresh and breath-achingly crisp evening air looking at the stars while luxuriating in the warmth of the pool. Very special. The saunas, steam bath and (yes) hay bath were also soothing after rigorous days on the cross-country ski trails. For us, great food and wine is always one of the most important elements of a holiday and the Romantik Hotel Santer is definitely up there with the very best. We were on half-board for a week and looked forward to dinner every night. There are three menus on offer - Romantik (sometimes classically Italian, often with truly fabulous homemade pasta), Tirolese (all the specialities of the Südtirol, such as canerdlì - big bread dumplings in broth, spatzle - spinach dumplings, wiener schnitzel, and of course strudel and other Austrian-inspired desserts), and Wellness (soup or pasta, fish, lighter dessert). Plus for all the menus a wonderful salad buffet, and fruit and local and French cheeses in excellent condition. The best thing is that it is no problem at all to chop and change between the three menus, which we did most nights. The quality of the food is very high, and chef Jurgen Santer really oversees an impressive operation. For such a busy restaurant, we were impressed that pasta and risotto were never overcooked (which of course would be a sin in Italy), and that dishes such as wiener schnitzel came to the table piping hot and just out of the fryer. Really, the food was so good, and we don't say this lightly. The restaurant also has a very good wine list, not only an excellent selection of the wonderful wines of Südtirol mainly, but also a discrete but very good selection from other regions of Italy, too, including Friuli, Veneto, Tuscany and Piedmont. There is a selection of 'bio' wines (organic) and prices are very reasonable. The service throughout the hotel is friendly and very professional. The service in the restaurant, however, must be signalled out as it is not only incredibly competent - you never have to wait too long, nor are you ever rushed - but also warm and very personal. The team is large, and many people served us over the course of the week, but all were so friendly, and so impressive linguistically, changing effortlessly from one table to the next between German, Italian, English (and probably other languages, too). While I can only praise all of the team in the restaurant, I must single out Gloria who was extremely friendly and professional, a real asset to the hotel, and Gaia, who looked after us so well during the week, and who is a very competent and knowledgable sommelier, advising on wines and vintages, and serving wine very professionally. This added greatly to our pleasure for the week. We came to Toblach to enjoy a 'settimana bianca' - with the intention to cross-country ski most days. The position of Hotel Santer is the best in town for getting straight onto the slopes by the Nordic Arena. We didn't in fact enjoy the best week of snow, it has to be said (it has been unseasonably warm and there hasn't been a huge amount of snow) but we were still able to have some wonderful days in the mountains. One of the highlights was a 21km ski up the valley to the point where we could see the famous Tre Cime (Drei Zinnen) - symbol of the Dolomites and of this very special place that UNESCO has designated a patrimony of humanity. Up in the mountains there were always welcoming restaurants where we could get a light bite - maybe a bowl of zuppa di gulasch, minestra di orzo, or a more substantial plate of sausages, sauerkraut and polenta. Washed down of course with some refreshing local beer or a glass of white wine. We would love to return to the Romantik Hotel Santer again, in winter, as well as in summer. It's a special place.

Welcome to the Parkhotel Bellevue: a unique appearance and a unique view. Our family hotel, over 100 years ol and situated against a fascinating mountain backdrop, blends tradition with modern comfort - rustic charm with stylish elegance.
We stayed here a week in Sept ’19 as part of our walking trip package arranged in UK through Headwater holidays. From the moment of arrival to leaving we really couldn’t find anything significant which we had problems with. The room was comfortable and well equipped with robes provided for heading to the pool and sauna, it had a balcony with a pleasant view facing towards town and though in evenings we used it during our stay was warm enough to sit out to have a beer or wine before heading to the pool. The room had a mini bar type fridge which we used for storage of our own drinks. The staff at the front desk were always helpful and the staff in the restaurant were most nearly always on hand to attend to our needs, each night and morning we were sat at same table for the week which was nice as we could chat to the other people who arrived with Headwater on same day and discuss our days walking and plans for the next. Breakfasts were the usual continental buffet with meats, cheeses and fruit etc. and fresh made omelettes or fried eggs were available, fresh coffee was served at the table. Evening meals were excellent quality and 5 courses, salad buffet, a soup or pasta course, a meat or fish dish, a pudding and then cheese at the buffet. Everything was well cooked and very well presented. Wines from the extensive cellars were not cheap, around 25 Euro for a standard bottle of for example the Venetian Merlot which I loved, but certainly not out of the question when spread over a couple of nights. For the day of my birthday I was presented with a medium sized chocolate cake at breakfast complete with a candle and a candlestick on our table too. That evening after returning from our walk we ate the cake and very nice it was too washed down with a glass of fizz we’d chilled in the room fridge. The swimming pool was a decent enough size to swim lengths and the separate sauna and steam room were good to soothe a few aches after a day’s walking. There’s a drying room if you need your boots etc. drying after a day out which we made use of and overnight everything which had been sodden wet the previous afternoon was bone dry with exception of my boots.. Location of the hotel is excellent if you’re starting walks, around 5 minutes’ walk to the rail station or 15 mins up the road into town to the bus station for local buses or the Drei Zinnen shuttle bus, you can pick up buses at the rail station but to be sure of a seat it’s best to start in town. We felt September was a great time overall to visit both the hotel and the area, the buses we took to various locations to start walks weren’t too busy and most places we walked weren’t too crowded with exception of the Three Peaks trails which were just too busy for our liking. Would love to stay here again sometime.

This hotel cancelled the reservation that we had with booking.com less than an hour before our arrival saying they had overbooked. I do not speak German but my girlfriend does, but not perfectly. When we tried to call the hotel to see what happened the owner got extremely frustrated at her and hung up because she could not speak well enough for him although he does not even speak English. The reason he told us he had cancelled our booking was because someone else showed up and offered more money since they did not book on a third party website. After receiving no apologies and no help in finding another solution I am very happy to say that we are no longer staying here. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!

Hotel Croda Rossa is made up of 2 structures, Croda Rossa and Santa Caterina, also known as the "bishops house". Both properties are modern and functional, ideal for any type of holiday. Croda Rossa offers everything a guest could desire on holiday: ski slopes, traditional huts, beautiful rings for cross-country skiing, romantic sleigh rides pulled by horses to lake Dobbiaco and fabulous hiking trails.
Location of the hotel was very nice. We were living just between two huge mountains so the view was stunning. It was not so far away from Cortina. As we went to Italy only to ski our hotel turned out to be to small for us. There was no place for hanging our skiing stuff there. When it comes to food it was awful. There was the same food for breakfast everyday and the water for coffee or tee was also awful. We spotted that some products wasn't fresh. Dinner was always cold and didn't have any taste. I suppose, the manager of the hotel didn't want to spend a lot of money on us and decided to provide us the worst quality of the food. Beside that the crew was very nice and kind but I had an impression that they didn't know much about their duties.

I had hoped to spend a week at Hotel Hubertushof so enquired whether there were any special deals for a long stay. The price offered was higher than that advertised on the hotel's own website yet the hotel refused to honour the advertised price. The hotel made no effort to appease me or to make me feel as though they wanted my business and in the end did not even have the courtesy to respond to my last email.
