Vermeer’s birthplace and a true gem, Delft sits between The Hague and Rotterdam in the country’s southwest. The city’s name comes from the Dutch word for digging, fitting since canals are a highlight here. Others include the 13th-century Old Church, the 15th-century New Church and the Prinsenhof, once home to William of Orange and now a museum. Delft has long been a center for fine ceramics, and traditional hand painting methods can still be witnessed at Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles.

The location is a little bit outside of the city centre, but it's just a 20 minute walk or shorter by bicycle. There is also a bus stop in front of the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We got an Upgrade to a Deluxe Room this time, the bed was very comfortable and even if the motorway is right beside the hotel, the windows are that good that there is no noise. Breakfast is good but not very special. But nothing to complain. The city of Delft is very beautiful. We as beer lovers are here at the right place. We can recommend Biercafé Doerak and Het Klooster and Locus Publicus and 't Proeflokaal for good brews. We have stayed for the 2nd time in Delft and we would come again certainly. You also can use Delft as your headquarter for train trips to The Hague or Rotterdam. Both are just 15 minutes away by train.

Casa Julia Hotel Delft, opened in December 2016 with a new owner after a closure of six months. The mission of Casa Julia is to make our guests feel at home during their stay. A combination of luxery in form of sleep, eat and meet. Casa Julia has 24 rooms. Mainly small but charming rooms, standard rooms and one spacious suite. The modern design and heartwarming service will make you relax and feel welcome. Just like home, but a little more luxe. Mi Casa, Su Casa!
Casa Julia is about 10 minutes walk from the historic centre of Delft on a quiet, pleasant road. Our room was pretty and well-designed. A nice touch is the free tea, coffee and biscuits in the communal lounge. There's also a very nice patio where you can sit and enjoy the sun, if you're lucky enough to get any.

Great location next to the train station and loads of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Highly recommended for a simple place to stay. I would love to come back for a longer stay next time.

Hotel de Plataan is a very friendly and stylish 3*hotel, with a unique character. The hotel is situated in the historical centre of Delft, with the marketplace, museums and other curiosities all within walking distance.
…and, that is a good thing if you enjoy something unique!!! We stayed here for two nights on a Rick Steves tour. We were assigned one of their “theme rooms”….in our case, it was the Arabian Nights room. Some in our group had other suggested names; if you are lucky enough to get to see it, you can decide for yourself. I have not seen all of Rick Steves PBS shows so he may have already featured this hotel in one of his shows; if he hasn’t, he should! I can imagine interesting interview with the owner of the hotel about both the hotel itself and the commitment to “green”. Yes, the hotel is a bit quirky or wonky, but it is really fun….once you understand that it not a sterile, business hotel. We did not see any of the standard rooms, so our review is for our “theme room” and I would certainly encourage you to spend the extra €35 for the upgrade!!! The hotel’s wi-fi is great. Our room had a jacuzzi in addition to the small bathroom (which is rather unique in and of itself). The bed has a king bed that we found quite comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding. To a person, the staff were great: friendly, helpful and cheerful. The hotel is centrally located in Delft…easy walking distance to most of the sights you want to see. Our room was pretty quiet opening toward a car park at the back of the hotel. No A/C (you really don’t need it!) and the radiators work fine to warm things up a bit after a chilly night. No coffee or tea in the room and this put me off a bit (coffee is my addiction of choice!), but since I already had instant coffee with me, we went to get some plastic cups at the nearby supermarket and used hot water from the tap for our instant coffee. So, relax and have fun: you will not forget the experience!!!

Hampshire Hotel- Delft Centre is a modern hotel on the outskirts of the centrum of Delft. The hotel has 92 deluxe rooms, each of which provides a unique musical theme. This is the best location if you are looking for a relaxing weekend away or a business visit. The old inner city of Delft finds itself just several minutes of walking distance away from the hotel.
We’ve just stayed at this hotel and couldn’t fault it.. the hotel is clean, very conveniently situated and the staff are outstanding. I didn’t get everyone’s names but praise must go to the reception and bar staff , especially Antoin, who were brilliant! The breakfast staff were lovely, as was the breakfast. There was not a lot of choice on the dinner menu, but what was there was excellent.. So thank you , and we’ll be back .

For exploring Delft it would hard to imagine a more conveniently located hotel providing you didn't need parking. In general, standards of hospitality in the Netherlands are good and so standards here were typical, very, very friendly, clean, roomy, reasonable breakfast. The layout is odd with reception in one building and accommodation and dining in another up a side street (with bike, scooter and pedestrian traffic only). Our room was a little cold and situated on the ground floor next to a busy alleyway, and only single glazing to the windows. So noise from the alleyway, church clock chiming etc. was easily heard. Bear that in mind if you need a peaceful night. Painter and decorator working on our windows at 7.15 am was a bit of a surprise on 2 mornings.

Excellently located in a square in the car-free area of Delft, this characterful hotel has lovely rooms, comfortable beds, good wi-fi and my room had air-con. A great night's sleep resulted, followed by a great breakfast. They don't do dinner but there are numerous restaurants nearby. The owner, manager and staff could not have been more helpful. There is no lift but there are ground floor rooms. Would be my first choice if staying in Delft again.

Shanghai Hotel is a 4* hotel in Delft near the city centre and with easy access to Rotterdam, The Hague and Amsterdam. The hotel has a Lounge Bar with terrace and a restaurant. In the morning they serve a delicious breakfast buffet.
Price/quality is this very fair! If you want to get to the center of the city, it's only 25 minute walk. Upon arrival we had (my wife and 3 year old son) a very friendly welcome! Instead of telling everything only to me, the man at the reception told my son where to go, what buttons to push and what room we would stay. Of course making sure daddy heard everything. This was the first time I got such a kind reception! A very big "thank you" to that man! The rooms were big, a big bathroom, everything clean. There was plenty of closet space to store everything. Every room had a tv. The breakfast was basic, but enough choice. The coffee was very good, the best I got from a machine! All in all, a place I'll revisit when I'm back in the area! As it is close to the free/highway it is easy to reach.
