Always certain what to expect when you get to a Holiday Inn. Great sleep in a quiet room. I love the marked pillows (soft/firm) and the amenities were great. Breakfast in the morning is always very complete.

Going to Dawson Creek for one evening ended in a snow storm and being stuck for an extra night. The pool isn’t open and Lilly at the front desk upgraded us to a room with a jacuzzi tub so our daughter could enjoy herself in it. The hotel itself is dated but it was kept clean and comfortable. The breakfast is top notch as far as continental goes! Everyone was really friendly and went above and beyond to help us out in a trying situation. We will be back next year!

STAY FAR AWAY ! BED BUGS ! The crawling sensation hit me on the first night of my stay, but I brushed it off thinking I was just uncomfortable after a long drive. When I woke in the morning to find myself covered in bug bites… from the top of my head to the base of my ankles..I have never been so incredibly DISGUSTED! Not to mention the sink that is half ripped off the wall, and many other…unique features this place offers… Thank goodness this was only a short work trip…I couldn’t imagine having my children in such an unsanitary lodging arrangement. I Will be informing every traveller I come across to stay VERY far away from this hotel.

I recently stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting the area for work. although not a five star, not 150-250 a night either. Rooms very tidy, staff was friendly. Café had a good country café menu good for a hearty breakfast or a quick lunch. I visited a few years back place has been updated since.I'd stay again !!

Normally I would give this place a 1 or 2 star rating, but I've stayed here enough to see the goods and bads for what they truly are. Let me start off by staying that this is one of the most inexpensive hotels in Dawson Creek. For that reason, this place tends to attract a lot of troublemakers. You might smell overwhelming amounts of cigarette and/or marijuana smoke on the 2nd floor, and you might hear some partying. That being said, I've noticed a huge difference between when the parents are working, and when the son is working. The parents likely do their best, but they don't have a full grasp of English, and seem worn down by the job. Which is understandable given the amount of negative activity they probably have to deal with at this location. The son, however is extremely friendly and outgoing. He will always greet you with a smile and will do pretty much anything to make your stay more comfortable. He was willing to stay two extra hours one night to get me checked in, since I wasn't able to arrive at the hotel until 1am, and normally they close up the front desk at 11pm. He really does an exceptional job and works very hard. I had a great stay here when the son was working. The only thing I can think of that could improve this location, unfortunately, would to be increase their prices, which would then possibly deter some of the "less ideal," clientele that they get. On the same token, I stay here precisely because of the low cost. So, I guess you can say, you will get what you pay for here. I do a fair bit of cleaning when I get in my room, and I don't expect a lot for a $70-$80 room. If I were paying more, I would expect more. But if budget-friendly is what you're after, this is your place, just make sure your standards are also in line with the price range.
