Located close to the central railway station, the Maritim Hotel Darmstadt is perfectly integrated into the Rhine-Main region's infrastructure. The hotel was completely renovated to now greet its guests in an overall new splendour. The airport and Frankfurt trade fair centre are both easily accessible by public transport or car. Darmstadt's town centre and its large pedestrian shopping centre are located just three tram stops away. The rooms are held in superior design with ample space and include Wi-Fi, a minibar, a safe and a balcony.
Great hotel with convenient location
Reviewed By joppx3Located next to the railway station, good rooms and a large breakfast buffet. There is a nice swimming pool and I found the staff very polite and helpful. The room had a large balcony and a nice feature was a coffee machine and a yellow card to report problems in the room. Some improvements would be to have a few chairs on the balcony so you could also use it, a cup or two so you can take advantage of the coffee machine and to forward the yellow cards to the relevant person (reported a problem with the shower on the second day of a four night stay, and the problem was still not fixed on the day of departure). Otherwise a very good hotel.

Good value for a great location
Reviewed By coloursmithI had a clean spacious room, with a decent sized bathroom (not large, but not cramped either), the hotel is simple but a very good value. The staff were all very friendly, I requested an allergy free room and it was no problem. The location is one block from the pedestrian shopping zone, and a few blocks from the major museums (which are terrific, and not crowded) I was there mostly to visit the architectural gems of Mathildenhöhe, and also the gardens. All were within pleasant walking distance of the hotel. There is an elevator up to the hotel reception, and it is set behind the front street facade, which contributed to a quiet place to stay. There is a no fuss buffet breakfast, and a lounge area if you like. Altogether a good place to stay in Darmstadt.

Great food and a cleanliness disappointment

The bistro Moller on hotel premises had great food as well. But the room... at fist it seems nice, perhaps more like your residence inn like type. And then there is a bathroom with the smell that made me nauseous and made me wish I had brought the toilet cleaner with me. The fitness room has three machines: treadmill, elliptical and a stationary bike. The hotel is located close to a lot of landmark places.

Dirty room and all facilities were closed
Reviewed By MarnixMarjoleinWe staid here for one night with our kids. When we entered the room, it smelled and we had to open the window (noisy street). The room was dirty and my son found two used bath slippers under the bed with much dust on it. There was dust over the whole room. They even stated in a folder that they do not clean the room daily due to COVID… also the Bar, sauna and swimmingpool was closed due to a lack of staff and maintenance. It’s in the middle of nowhere… and you have to pay 18€ for parking. The only positive point was the kind lady at the reception

Great bar area with local beers on offer makes evening work more enjoyable. Location is greatly situated in the center of Darmstadt and close to our offices, so will definitely return in November. Ideal Hotel
Reviewed By Sam DThe hotel was booked for me by the football club so I wasn't sure what to expect but it exceeded all expectations. The location is perfect for the stations (ICE, RE, Bus and Tram) all just a 100m or so from the entrance but equally there is very little noise from these. Further out of the centre of the town but you get a few public transport pass from the hotel so it's perfect to jump on the tram to Luisenplatz. The staff were very pleasant and I was able to check into my room even at 9.30am. Breakfast was simple but more than enough variety to keep me happy. Definitely my hotel of choice when visiting Darmstadt!

Romantic and quiet
Reviewed By petcua2018The place is nice for a short stop(we stayed one night). We went around the property. It has a lot of nice picturesque little corners. The breakfast was tasty and the service was excellent. One minus is the smell of vinegar everywhere. I guess they clean with it. But if you are not a fan of it you might find it a bit annoying.

The B&B Hotel Darmstadt is perfectly connected. It is not only located in the immediate vicinity of the main railway station, but also only one kilometer away from the A672 and A5 motorways. Guests can park their cars in the hotel's own car park for free (subject to availability). The 102 single, double and spacious family rooms are equipped with television incl. Free Sky-TV, desk, bathroom with shower and WC, soundproofed windows, air conditioning and free WiFi. The breakfast buffet can be booked for a small additional fee.
No frills but convenient to Darmstadt train station
Reviewed By globetrekker728I booked 2 one night reservations (back to back) at B&B as I had planned only one night but extended to 2. Nice large room and cheaper than hotels near Frankfurt Hbf area. It's a no frills hotel where after hours, when the doors are locked, you can find and pay for your room from the kiosk like Ibis Hotels. You can get to the hotel easier from the back exit of the train station past the Rewe grocery market. The bed was large and comfortable and bathroom was a good size, not tiny. Now, I would have probably given it 4 stars except for a billing issue I'm still trying to resolve. When I arrived I paid for the first night of my one night reservation. The next morning I paid for my second one night reservation at the reception desk and asked off I could stay in the same room instead of checking out then back into a different room. It was no problem, so I paid and got a new code for my room. I later get an email from booking.com that I was a no-show for my second nights reservation. I also looked at my credit card transactions and I was charged separately for my 2 nights there (as was expected) and discovered that I was charged for another night apparently as a no-show!!! Now I'm trying to get that 3rd no-show charge removed. Hope I don't get the runaround, but it sure is a headache trying to resolve this from another country.

Reviewed By KarinvanBThe location was nice. about a 10 minute walk into town. Plenty of parkingspace around the hotel. Free of charge from 22.00-08.00. Room was spacious. Bed confortable. There was also a little fridge. It looked like the room was renovated and some old details were kept. Breakfast was very good.
