Best 3-star hotel ever

Reviewed By HowardS1474

We recently spent four nights at the Hampton Inn Daly City while our floors at home were being refinished. What a great experience! Certainly among the most friendly and helpful staff we’ve ever experienced, making sure we were well-stocked with bottled water and (spontaneously) chocolate chip cookies. They accommodated late checkout and a rate reduction for one of the nights (due to a misunderstanding in the booking) cheerfully and seamlessly. Couldn’t have been better! The room was spacious and spotless, the bed comfortable, the free hot breakfast more than adequate, and the parking ample. Luxury hotels could learn a lot from these folks — highest recommendation

Mylo Hotel

Mylo Hotel - short for "My Love" - is a laid-back, lyrical nod to San Francisco's most defining era. The budget traveler's answer to high-priced San Francisco hotel rooms, this 36-room charmer in Daly City just minutes from downtown San Francisco hits on all the right notes. Behind its 60s-era facade are fun guest rooms, the decade's favorite tunes, even an iconic VW van. And while the hotel pays homage to a bygone era, its thoughtful services and high-tech amenities are the modern day marvels today's freethinking travelers expect.

DO NOT BOOK - Unsafe neighborhood

Reviewed By PhotomakerPat

I live in the Bay Area and had to book a hotel near the San Francisco airport. Daly City is not a dangerous city, so booking this hotel for 1 night was an easy decision. WOW, was I unpleasantly surprised! The hotel is in an area that looks very unsafe. You see questionable individuals walking down the street and the clientele of the hotel is not that much better. Loud people sitting in their cars in the small parking lot with no security in the lot, you wonder when your car will be broken into. The rooms have been renovated but they still look very run down. The pictures they show in their site are not 100% accurate. Stay away, especially if you are a woman traveling alone.

We are never coming back

Reviewed By Mahta P

I’ve never before in my life have gone to such a bad hotel. Once we got there, the carpet was messed up and not at all cleaned. There was no toilet paper, and when we asked for rolls it never came so we called down again and they said we had to go down there to get it. A sticky glop that had molded over on my bed. The towels had red stains on it (please clean your towels. Jeez!). Breakfast? Don’t even want to talk about it. We got a none smoking hotel room and it sure did smell like it. The pillows were the worse and so THIN! The bed was so obvious that someone has slept in it. The fridge smelled as if something had rotted in it. I don’t write reviews but since this hotel was so bad, I need to let people know!! We also got a room for my grandparents, there was a hole in the covers. Other than that.. well there was no other than that. If I could give a zero, I would. I would have preferred them to spend there money on good service and actually clean up the room rather spend it on a tiny pool.
