- Front desk staff (female, tall, brunette, glasses) rude with superior attitude: “Why are you so late”, “Our menu is probably too expensive for you”. - Neither offered nor given sugar with our hot drinks at breakfast. - Long wait for breakfast, nothing special, cooked breakfast was measly portion. - Room uncomfortably warm, limited ventilation, not up to expected standard for price comparative experiences elsewhere.

We were extremely lucky to secure a cosy corner table last minute, on Sunday evening. Food was delicious, and we loved the cold crisp draught cider. There is also a garden with views of Corte Castle and you can watch the steam trains go by. Service was excellent, and Jenny is a breath of fresh air. We shall definitely return!

We are only a two minute walk from the village centre, 'the square', from which all local ammenities are available, from tea rooms, restuarants and pubs, to stunning walks over the Purbeck hills or a visit into Corfe Castle itself.Ammonite Bed and Breakfast has a four star accommodation rating and offers three beautiful rooms, comprising of two double en-suites and a twin room with private bathroom. All rooms offer T.V., tea and coffee making facilities and a comfortable nights sleep. The superbly cooked breakfast, cooked upon a traditional Aga using locally sourced produce, is taken in the dining area which offers stunning views of the surrounding Purbeck hills.
Ammonite had been recommended to us by a friend so we stayed for a couple of nights. Yvonne who owns the B&B was very friendly and we really enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely and clean and overlooked their garden which was very nice. Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order. There were fruit juices and cereals to start with, while Yvonne cooked your full English Breakfast with a Vegetarian option and alternatives as well. There was also lovely hot toast with homemade jams and marmalades to finish off with. Corfe Castle itself has many things to see and do, and you are not far from Monkey World and the Tank Museum, which are both highly recommended. We really enjoyed out stay and have already booked another visit.

Set in the heart of the beautiful Purbeck countryside, large 13 acre rural campsite spread across 3 separate fields. There are no pitches marked out, instead we like to create a relaxed atmosphere so visitors can pitch up where they prefer. Short walking distance from Corfe Castle and a steam train journey from Swanage.
Lovely campsite, in a great location to travel around Dorset. Walking distance to Corfe Castle and on a lovely bus route into Swanage. The swanage to Borden steam railway passes right through the site, just like the railway children, very quirky. Electric hook ups Slightly dated showers and toilet block but clean and fit for purpose. Some pitches are not flat so worth remembering levellers in a camper. Lovely and well stocked shop Pay attention to the bridge measurements on the way onto site Fab weekend away

Arrived after a gruelling long walk and was met with a wonderful smile and efficient service at the bar, proceeded outside to the beer garden and the wonderful views across the valley towards Corfe Castle. Stunning views! Then shown to my beautiful v comfortable room (TV tiny and antiquated though) wonderful coffee with cafetière in the room and sparkling and still water. Dinner choices limited - just ok pub grub. Service fantastic however, the very friendly lady working behind the bar made time to chat with all the customers and was v interested in them having a good experience in the pub / hotel. Some amazing art on the walls of the pub for sale, from a local artist btw
