We were happy they let us check in a little early because we had heavy snow that shut down the interstate. The unit was spacious and updated. We were disappointed the hot tub was drained. During "mud season" everything was closed in the village but it was a central location to visit Frisco, Dillon, Vail, Glenwood Springs and Buena Vista.

Nice room and lobby. Beds not very comfortable- a little hard. BRING YOUR OWN PILLOW. Pillows are very thick, overstuffed, hard to use and they do not have any alternatives. Walls are thin and acoustics are not great- if you had loud neighbors it would be an issue and you can hear doors slamming. If you have a lower floor facing the mountain you will also be hearing the hot tub chatter. We were on 4th floor (the highest) and it wasn't bad. It is moderately convenient- about a 5-8 minute walk to center village main lodge- not nearly as convenient as many condos closer to a lift. The hot tub is really nice but very chlorinated. It's annoying that there are no food options- have to walk into the village for anything. The hotel said they are working on serving breakfast for next season.

I visited Copper Mountain with my partner and stayed at the Mountain Plaza hotel for 6 nights in a "hotel-style" King Room in January 2022. Cons: Room needs updating King bed is too large for the space Futon that served as a couch was quite old and rickety feeling Shower and toilet area was very cramped Toilet was extremely old and flushed poorly Coffee maker cord did not reach nearest outlet - had to be set on vanity to be used Pros: Close the lift Close to eateries Ski lockers provided Outdoor hot tub was nice Parking was covered in 10-mile lot (non-kitchen units) Friendly and helpful staff Overall, my partner and I came to ski not to sit in our room. The skiing was excellent and the room was low average. The best thing about the room was that it was clean. The most annoying part about the room was a lack of space to walk around the King Bed. They would have done better to put a Queen with night stands on either side and space to get into bed without crawling from the foot of the bed. Another strike for no night stands (we both are glasses wearers and that would have been nice!). I would come back to Copper to ski, but at $184/night plus taxes and fees I am not so sure if I would choose to stay on the resort again. I honestly felt that that the Comfort Inn in North Platte had a nicer room than what we stayed in on the resort.

My wife and I stayed at this property for the weekend. It was perfectly located a quick walk from the lift and only a 10 minute walk to the Center section of the mountain base. The service was impeccable, too - one time I accidentally locked ourselves out and the manager came over right away to help us out. The staff was friendly and accommodated our every request. Lastly, our dog was in heaven - it's a dog-friendly location and after the slopes close, there's great areas at the base of the mountain where she got to run with other dogs through the snow. Strongly recommend!

Our family stayed at the West Lake Village for Christmas. The whole resort has the perfect feel for a ski lodge. Our favorite place to eat was Eagle BBQ. The views were breath taking! The room itself is quite outdated, but my family was comfortable. This picture is the view from our room.

This was our third stay in a Copper Junction condo and our first in Unit 404. The Good: Newer carpet Well appointed kitchen As close as you can get to slopes at Copper Plenty of hot water Copper Vacations great helpful staff The bad: Parking Is VERY tight in basement parking garage One parking spot with rental—but garage was full and no spot available one day Thin walls btw units Ski locker room key pad inoperable—room unsecured—bring a padlock to secure your skis Amenities listed are confusing. Reference to Washer/Dryer online. NOT in unit. Located in parking garage/basement. Refrigerator froze everything even after adjusting to lower temperature. Bed pads thin but better than none. First floor half bath fan so loud it could wake the dead. Ugly: For the second time the elevator broke and has been out of order during a Copper Junction rental. Both times we were in 4th floor units. The hike up the stairs after a day of skiing is HORRIBLE. Hauling all your luggage and equipment down four flights when leaving the unit is HORRIBLE. Other guests have had same experience. Chronic problem. Needs a permanent fix which, obviously, has not been undertaken. CONCLUSION: Rent at your own risk. The elevator failures alone that we have experienced will cause us to never rent a Copper Junction condo unit again.
