It is a lovely 3 stars Hotel and 1 key Bungalows, typically Spanish family-run hotel with swimming pool. There is a choice of:Double or single rooms, with or without balconies and bungalows allowing self catering. Enjoying views of the mountains and all the way to the Mediteranean Sea. The rooms are spacious, yet cosy; it’s décor typically Spanish in taste.

Reviewed By angela mary gFrom beginning the booking to arrival at hotel everything ran smoothly , the owner / receptionist was courteous ,friendly and extremely helpful . The bedrooms were modern ,clean and comfortable . The food was exceptional and the chef and staff were informative and helpful , likes and dislikes were catered for - nothing was too much trouble . The whole trip was a pleasurable experience and we will return ..

At a mere 50 minutes’ drive from Malaga,we offer our guests three stylish, spacious rooms for a comfortable and luxurious stay.
Charming, well-appointed B&B in an attractive village
Reviewed By OtyikondoThis is a delightful B&B in an attractive Andalusian "white village" that is probably unfairly overshadowed by nearby Frigiliana. The hosts are very professional (communications were excellent and very prompt) and yet cordial and relaxed; just the right combination. The accommodation - we were in the Loft, but we peeked into the other rooms - is clean, well-appointed and tastefully decorated, with comfortable bed, decent bathroom lighting, and so on. There is a lovely roof-top terrace, too. Quite a lot of stairs to negotiate, if this is an issue. Breakfast was fine, in a pretty downstairs room with a fireplace. Pancakes on the first morning were an unexpected treat. The location is ideal, although parking close by is a bit difficult (if carrying heavy stuff, probably best to come and drop it off quickly before going down to the main parking area), and Cómpeta itself looks like it could be a good base for hiking, with several attractive trails around. In sum, Al Campanario ticked all our boxes for a two-night stay, and we would have no hesitation in recommending Willy & Annemie as perfect hosts. Even the restaurant suggestions - not always a given - were right on the ball on this occasion. Strongly recommended.

Reviewed By perthsaintOur second stay at Salamandra Plaza. This time we stayed in El Cielo on the top floor. Lovely apartment with a small kitchen area with it's own terrace. Also have access directly to the main roof top terrace which is shared with the rest of the apartments. Breakfast can be taken at any of the 3 restaurants in the square or another close by.

Buen alojamiento familiar
Reviewed By AliciayDiegoEs un hospedaje que está muy limpio y cuidado. Nos trataron muy bien desde el primer momento. Hasta la madre del dueño se ofreció a que dejásemos en su casa una medicación que necesitaba frío porque en la habitación no hay frigorífico. Las únicas pegas son que se entra abriendo la puerta con un código en vez de con llave y que en recepción no había nadie (se recogen las llaves de la habitación en un bar). Esto nos dejaba un poco intranquilos por si se colaba alguien a robar etc... Y otro aspecto fue que el desayuno incluido se hace en el bar donde se recogen las llaves a partir de las 9. Fue tarde para nosotros porque teníamos que marcharnos más temprano para una visita concertada a la cueva de Nerja a las 9.30h. Es verdad que nos dieron solución y nos prepararon un bocadillo la noche antes pero ese bocadillo a la mañana siguiente no era muy comestible.

Reviewed By Theme CReally comfortable place to stay. Clean and modern with very comfortable bed and stunning bathroom. Very inexpensive and close to all amenities. Highly recommended. The restaurant of the owners, were breakfast is served, is only 200 metres away and serves amazing food.

A must in Competa
Reviewed By ChrisJ690Delightful My wife and I stayed Casa Romera in June. From our arrival to departure Our hosts could not do enough for us. Our room was beautiful and had everything we needed. On top of that there is a large terrace straight out of the doors of the room. Breakfast (included in the price) was well presented and very nice. The accommodation is so good we are returning with family later in the year. Thanks again.

Reviewed By Ka4sureZeer leuke rustige finca, zwembad gedeeld met 3 huisjes waar we bijna altijd alleen waren. Huisje is zeer proper, al het nodige is aanwezig voor een zorgeloze vakantie. Leuke uitvalsbasis om de streek en de kust te ontdekken. Lekkere tapas en meer in Competa, op wandelafstand. Zeker een aanrader voor wie geen all-in hotelformule wenst. Voor ons is dit verblijf ideaal.
