Stayed at Villa Zoppi in August 2020 just after it opened. An impressive entrance upon arrival and my sense of smell was hit by a sweet vanilla room fragrance in the lobby. They had these huge vats of fragrance oils which was just lovely. The pros - Pristine and great attention to public spaces. - A pool large enough for the kids to splash about (we were a family of 4) without interfering with the other guests. -We were upgraded to a Premium guest room but I think even their standard rooms are luxurious. -Egyptian fine / high thread count bed linen -Bathrooms cleaned everyday, gorgeous towels and bedrobes supplied included guess sunbed towels -Ample breakfast with a good selection of hot and cold foods available including fresh juice. -Outstanding service although we did experience a hiccup but they managed to get to their senses pretty fast (if they didn’t we would have left to be honest). The cons - The location. It’s right on a main road and you can hear traffic. This doesn’t bother me and the traffic isn’t that bad but if you are looking for a secluded location, you should take this into account. - The lack of quality restaurants. The Carona situation meant restaurants were shut / or wasn’t viable for them to open. You need to drive to have a meal. Locally there are very limited options and the quality of food is at best described as ‘home cooking’. -No facilities for the hotel to offer an evening meal. Lunch was extremely basic and expensive. It was fine for us as we had a car to get around but the hotel could do with something a bit more substantial for when guests wants to have a drink and not drive. -The first night we had no car and no restaurant open except a Pizzeria. The hotel refused a pizza delivery. Which is tough for our children where there was absolutely no food available from anywhere in the hotel, no shop or supermarket to walk to, and no where to go. Husband complained and the hotel management relented. If they hadn’t we would have left immediately and probably headed into Verona for a B&B as there would have been more options for us as a family. We learned our lesson and next day collected a rental car from the airport. -A big negative is charge 6 or 7 euros extra for eggs for breakfast. This really adds up over 7 days multiplied by a family of four. To me eggs should be included in the hotel breakfast costs. - Charge for the spa. This put us off. I find this odd that a spa should be charged for. It’s not like a destination spa hotel. For me, it would be better if these hidden extras are built into the overall hotel stay otherwise these hidden extras to avoid ‘bill shock’. -Fairly new staff that weren’t familiar too much about local restaurants and quality and what was available. During our stay, the hotel was about 25% capacity so it was quiet and we didn’t have to fight for sun beds! I am not sure what the sunbed situation would be like a full capacity as there definitely weren’t enough by the pool to cover all guests IF at full occupancy. Hopefully they have them in storage? You may want to check this at busier times. Overall, it is a glamourous high quality hotel. Great for a wedding venue or special occasion. Their service and attention to detail was very high and we were welcomed very well. Their staff deserves a special mention. This is a very ‘adult’ hotel so I would not make this my first choice as a family hotel simply because of the lack of onsite catering and little options to eat locally. But if you are happy to drive everywhere then that helps resolve things. I would come back for a night for a special occasion - without the kids - but would not come back to use for a family holiday. Hope this helps! We travelled as 2 adults, two kids aged 10 and 12 from England, UK.

Once a manor house, Villa Nichesola is located in the Colognola ai Colli old town centre, 15km from Verona, on what used to be the Via Postumia. The villa is situated in a truly strategic position near Verona, the ancient Terme di Giunone (Caldiero- VR) and the hills on which the renowned Soave DOC Classico and Valpolicella wines are produced. The bed & breakfast is ideal for those wishing to spend a few days relaxing in the surrounding park or by the pool, attend performances in the Verona Arena or visit one of the many wine cellars in the area. What is more, the riding schools and the cycle paths nearby provide plenty of open air activities, and the villa is also the ideal location for business meetings. The Villa Nichesola bed & breakfast has three finely furnished bedrooms, perfect for a relaxing stay. The strategic position of the villa, located near Verona and the surrounding hills where many prestigious wines are produced, enables guests to try out the local specialities of the Verona area, to travel around on foot, by bike, car or motorbike, and to visit Verona, the city of Romeo and Juliet. Guests will be able to visit many picturesque sights, famous squares like the Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza dei Signori, go to the opera in the magnificent Verona Arena or to international fairs such as VINITALY and MARMOMACC. Each room is furnished with great care to detail: exposed beams and wooden floors giving the rooms a homely feel. An adjoining reception room enables guests to relax while watching TV, read a book from our library or surf the Net. A Italian breakfast with fruit and local specialities will be provided either in the dining room or in the garden.

Super consigliato.
