Cody, named for its legendary founder, Buffalo Bill Cody, remains as full of Old West adventure as it was during the days when Bill himself roamed Wyoming. Serving as the Eastern gateway to Yellowstone National Park, Cody is just a few miles away from pristine wilderness where actual buffalo can still be seen. The town attracts tourists and cowboys alike with reenactments of famous shoot-outs, restored frontier buildings and with the Cody Stampede, which the town hosts every July 4.

The building is beautiful. We stopped to eat in their restrauant and it was amazing. The food was excellent and the service was awesome. I wish we would have made reservations here and not the place we are staying. I spoke with a young woman who was staying there and she was very happy

The Chamberlin Inn is a completely renovated, turn of the century Inn. We offer the comforts and privacy of a boutique hotel inside a unique garden setting--located in the heart of downtown Cody. The Chamberlin Inn has a small conference room and Spirit's Lounge to accommodate reunions, garden weddings, or any other special event. The Chamberlin Inn is a welcome breath of luxury nestled in the historic old west.
Last week we happened upon this beautiful and charming Inn. We had dinner at an adjacent steakhouse and left via the back courtyard door. We immediately noticed the Chamberlin and stopped in to visit. We were warmly greeted by the lovely receptionist, Madison, and she directed us to walk through the open rooms and public spaces. We were pretty bowled over at how lovely the Inn was...and how impeccably clean, too! We stopped in the lounge for a drink and were so pleasantly surprised by the engaging hostess, Elizabeth. She brought our drinks out to the courtyard and seated us at a lovely fire pit with a comfy fire ablaze. She even offered a blanket to my spouse since it was somewhat chilly. Way to go Chamberlin Inn. We had stayed at the Irma Hotel for the compulsory two night stay...everyone should stay in the Colonel Bill Cody Room at least once while in Cody, WY...but next visit would be at the Chamberlin Inn. What a gem!

The Scout INN provides premier lodging in downtown Cody, Wyoming. Our rooms are spacious and practical, with many features including fresh flowers, office space, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee/tea station and much more! Free continental breakfast, coffee, and local newspapers in our office. Free parking spot with each room and within walking distance of restaurants, pubs, shopping, museums, and art galleries.
Booked on site after refusing the room at the Irma as the door to our room would not unlock, even after the staff tried 4 different keys. (One key finally worked but you had to jiggle it just right.) The Scout was great—clean, large rooms that appeared newly remodeled. Fresh flowers on the table. The toilet was a bit noisy but the room (117) was away from the street. Bed was comfortable, amenities included toothpaste, a large carafe of lemon water was conveniently available in the hallway, and it had a great location.

Hotel located at the east entrance to Yellowstone park. Facility has the "best Beds in the West." These beds are triple sheeted with very high thread count linens. Limited dog rooms, must call ahead.
Our rooms were clean and very comfortable, and quiet. The decor was cute, very western. Breakfast was satisfactory, the usual continental affair. We enjoyed our stay here, and would stay here again if we are ever back this way.

location: we thought it wouldn't be so difficult traveling 40 miles to the east entrance and calculated our travel time. However, we forgot to factor in we'd be traveling through mountains. We wouldn't stay in cody again but will try and book one year in advance and stay at a place very near the park. The Holiday Inn is an old property but tastefully updated. However, you still have a small space. The pool is OUTSIDE. Our kids were very disappointed. It was chilly when we were there and another day it rained. No pool time. They have a restrauant attached which also is updated. However, you can't order off the menu during the summer. They offer a buffet but we calculated it would cost our family of 6 $110. for breakfast. We didn't eat there. The beds are double and not queen. That's the old style at old Holiday Inns. The staff was amazing. They don't allow pets thank god for that. However, I thought I saw someone sneak a dog out of a room. Their laundry room is very small. Difficult getting in between other guests wanting to wash clothes. We wouldn't stay here again.

I have stayed at the Irma Hotel with my Dad and Brother on an adult/man trip years ago. Although the hotel is old, I have always been interested in Buffalo Bill and loved our stay and the town. Now that my children are older, my family planned a trip with multiple stops and the Irma was a must on my list. My mom was put in room 15 and we were in 35. A few minutes after we walked in, my daughter knocked on the door and said “can you hear that?” Our room (35) was two hallways over from 15 and I could hear a rattling noise. Walking into my moms room, the air conditioner was creating this noise. By the time I walked in, my mom already stopped by the front desk and was told they were sold out and could not move her. They said they would call maintenance to fix it. A few hours later, I walked to the front desk with a recording of the noise to show them. While waiting to get the employees attention, The young female working that night made a comment about my mom complaining about the noise. The older female employee rolled her eyes. When i saw my family walk down the hallway to join me, I asked the younger employee if she was talking about my family (she denied but was flustered) I played the video and asked when maintenance was coming. Once again, they stated that they called maintenance and they were in their way. I turned off the ac and she relied on the ceiling fan (no windows in this room) for the night. The next day, on our way out for the day, I stopped to inquire about the maintenance man. Tim, the only employee who seemed to understand and try to help, knew nothing about it since nothing was written in the maintenance book. He said he would call but couldn’t guarantee they could get it fixed that day and asked that I stop back for an update when I returned. We once again stopped back but the two ladies from the previous night were working again. No apologies but offered my mom room 17. We moved her in 17 and found shampoo and ensure in the fridge , left from the previous occupants. A few hours later, my mom realized she forgot her pillow in the previous room. She asked for a key to get it. Her bed was made and new towels were put in the bathroom but her pillow was there and a cup she used was still on the dresser. This made us question the cleanliness of the room (hoping they did more before next guest). The next morning, i tried to take a shower and there was no hot water. Final thoughts: Yes, this is an old hotel but the ac was not original and i found other reviews from a month ago with the same issue in the same room. Most staff did not seem to care and we were an inconvenience to them (At night, we saw the staff, in a group all smoking together on the front patio while guests were waiting at check in (this happened multiple times in 1 day) There are other options in town to stay and you can walk in the Irma to have a drink if you wish to see it.
