Horrible place. Do not stay here. Super expensive with ZERO basics. Rude customer service, floorboards were coming up off of the floor, dirty, etc. Save yourself from writing the same complaint as me.

Hotel Zed Tofino is a hotel experience that completely rebels against the ordinary. You may be used to our retro-chic motel feel in our other Hotel Zed locations, but Hotel Zed Tofino is a whole new vibe. Think: totally gorgeous, swanky 70's pad. But this isn't your Granny's crib (unless your Granny was a very stylish rebel!) Our rooms and public areas are groovy and chilled out. The style is deluxe and you'll never get bored here with our sunken living room, retro office, psychic's den and...what's that? A bike path that runs through the middle of the lobby? Yeah, you've never seen anything like this before. Plus, we’ve got an on-site bird sanctuary for you nature lovers. World-famous Chesterman Beach and the Inlet are both a short stroll from the hotel, and if you wanna roll into town we’re right on the bike path. Quick note: There are still some old photos on here from travellers before we built this new hotel so ignore those. This hotel is brand new! Peace and love, rebels!
This hotel is a fun blast from the past to add a little character to your vacation. The pros are the hotel has a unique character and the covered outdoor hot tub in the rainforest is really cool. I also appreciated the incredibly spacious shower in the room. Besides the really unique brand of this hotel, the rooms aren't anything special. Take away the dial phone, door handles, paint and light covers, it really is just like any other hotel. The amenities add character but for example a 200 sq ft disco isn't very practical and really just something most people walk into and say "cool," right before walking out of. I'm not sure why most hotels haven't done this yet, but I would really appreciate a yoga and meditation area. This is something that is hard to do in a hotel room with another person in there and I think it would be used for example in this case much more than a small disco room or psychic room. On a final note I did want to emphasize how phenomenal the in house restaurant Roar isl. Even if you do not stay at the hotel, take an evening to check this place out. I'm celiac, with an egg and dairy allergy. They had ZERO issues with accommodating me. I even had the opportunity to enjoy a vegan, gluten free cheese cake- I couldn't believe it! I even had the server check twice to make sure it was gluten free. Honestly, besides them accommodating me, the food was unbelievable and under-promoted by the pictures on the internet. My wife, who has no food issues raved about how glad she was that we went there.

Tofino Motel Harborview is located in the Village of Tofino. EVERY ROOM has a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean inlets, the harbor islands with the Mariner Mountain Range in the distance. Walk to the many shops and art galleries, restaurants, marine excursions, pubs and fishing all of the nice things Tofino has to offer!
This was nice hotel we were on sound floor room they give a good price on room for 185 per night you should add free breakfast. view of Harbour . The room were good size and very clean room and we did ask for recommendations on supper . He never asked us what kind of food do you want . He said the names of them but that’s all I was not impressed with his customer service otherwise it was very good room and very quiet hotel . They don’t have 24 hour staff . That’s not very good to but we never had any problems we only stayed for one night For non-franchises hotel I do prefer franchised hotel chains

Booked in for 4 nights, mainly to see whales and bears (we saw both!). Our apartment was comfortable and well equipped. From our balcony we looked out over the beach and could hear the waves. The other side was temperate rain forest with various trails. An idyllic spot. We were lucky that one day was stormy as this really showed the majesty of the Pacific Ocean. It was a short walk through the forest to our main reception/lounge/dining area. What a fabulous place to relax – comfortable chairs, a log fire, views out over the sea and tea/coffee available. Breakfast was plentiful and we booked in for a couple of dinners which were a set 3 course menu you could watch it being prepared. Seafood Tagliatelle one night and Salmon Chowder the next: superb! The staff were friendly and helpful and we liked the fact that they did not have a daily room service (probably from the Covid measures). The general atmosphere was informal which entirely fitted the environment. Would love to go again.

Duffin Cove, completely redeveloped in 2018, boasts Ocean Front views from every room. Our property is nestled in a remote rainforest setting, yet only one block from downtown Tofino. The unique character setting and location allows the quiet solitude to relax, explore the shoreline and enjoy West Coast living. Get away from it all and relax into the quiet lifestyle of West Coast island living. You will find us at "The end of the road!"
We stayed in one of the a-frame cabins on the water - beautiful location, comfortable bed, nicely appointed. We will definitely book at Duffin Cove again - it’s so nice being so close to the downtown strip.

West Coast rugged has never looked so stylish!
We read great reviews about this place but on close inspection they were mostly for the trips on offer. On arrival I was disappointed at the Roadside Motel look about the place. The rooms are very average with a tiny shower with curtain. The sea view is there via the carpark and outbuildings. The restaurant attached to the “Resort” is a nightmare to get into. Short staffed. We were told to wait an hour on our first night, and they suggested we walk around the marina until we were called. It was pouring with rain and the marina is as big as my sitting room! Same thing happened at breakfast today even though we waited till 10am. Overpriced and underwhelming.

We are a boutique oceanfront resort in the heart of Tofino, nestled between old growth cedars, hanging on the edge of the shore. Originally built in the late 1960's our property & its architecture are the definition of cabin vibes. A rich natural landscape surrounds the property which consists of an A-frame house and two A-frame cabins. With our modern surf shack cool, the comforts of home, and thoughtful touches we offer an inspiring yet laid back feel.
We headed to tofino for our elopement last weekend. I’ve always seen the shoreline posted about online. I’m so incredibly glad we stayed a couple nights! The bath tub was amazing & the view of the marina! We enjoyed the local coffee provided and the kitchenette which had everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again! Make sure you shower and sauna after surfing!!

Wickaninnish Inn, a Relais & Chateaux property since 1997, overlooks the Pacific Ocean from a rocky point on Vancouver Island’s rugged west coast, near the eclectic town of Tofino and Pacific Rim National Park. Two contemporary cedar buildings, set against a backdrop of ancient rainforest, boast an extensive local art collection (complemented by the neighbouring wood carving shed), and all rooms and suites offer ocean or beach views, gas fireplace, soaker tub and individual balcony. Uncompromising service, including a Clefs d’Or Concierge team, is a standard. The sole resort on Chesterman Beach, Tofino’s longest at 2.5km/1.5mi, the Inn is home to refined West Coast cuisine at The Pointe Restaurant and naturally-inspired treatments at its intimate Ancient Cedars Spa. Tofino’s McDiarmid family welcomes you to this locally owned, world renowned sanctuary offering Rustic Elegance on Nature’s Edge.
We stayed for three days in December for our elopement and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The sun shone (thank you for arranging that!), we got married in the forest on property, had dinner in The Pointe Restaurant and started our day with breakfast in bed followed by massages at the Ancient Cedars Spa. Every member of the team was genuinely warm and welcoming, our room was gorgeous, the food, wine and cocktails were fantastic, the spa was wonderful and overall we felt so spoilt and well taken care of. We have stayed before and will continue to come back again and again. We couldn’t have wished for a better spot to get married.
