Reviewed By Marek PVery nice hotel at the outskirts Chiquimula city beautiful view at the mountains and feel of being in the countryside. Very nice and clean pool, friendly staff, food and bar great. The hotel is close to the border with Honduras and famous Copa Ruinas in Honduras.

Reviewed By spencern603This January, after landing in Guatemala City, I drove directly from to Chiquimula to visit friends and explore the area. When I arrived at Hostal Casa Vieja, I was greeted warmly and was happy to see that there was ample parking inside the hotel grounds. The room looked out at the expansive, tranquil and well-maintained garden, where I spent time relaxing on a hammock in the shade of the large trees. I highly recommend seeing the ruins at Copan, which is about an hour away from Chiquimula. Crossing the boarder into Honduras took about 30 minutes each way, and we hired a tour guide at the archeological site, which was worth it.

Reviewed By 263hugolThe food is excellent, some local cream and cheese, beans and guacanole with your Plato Tipico of lomito, we were offered some water and it had some little bugs floting on it, not nice at all. We stayed on top of the lobby, small rooms nothing fancy, old A/C, the bathroom was nice, the beds needs something magical called pillows, one small one is just not enough. I give it 4/5 because no matter who tells you otherwise, this is the best hotel in Esquipulas, don't get fooled, I come here every year and this is by far the best one.

Reviewed By Joao GVery close to the church, is down town, you can walk from there to everywhere. Is not so quiet but rooms are decent! Depending on the season can be a little pricy but still affordable for foreign people.
