All rooms come with free Wi-Fi, a TV and a private bathroom with bathtub or shower and free toiletries. The 2-floor restaurant serves Bulgarian and international cuisine, and there is a cocktail bar during summer. Kids can have fun on the playground. Paintball, guided hiking tours as well as horseback riding can be requested in advance and is available at a surcharge. The hiking path Haidushka pesen is 4 km away. Beklemeto Ski Slope is 18 km from the Balkan Hotel.
Absolutely disappointed
Reviewed By 812nataliyayUnfortunately we are only happy with dinner service at the restaurant and the outside pool, but that's all and it can't cover all the negative things we had to cool with. Upon our arrival the receptionist was quite arrogant and didn't tell us that there are no robes for the spa available in the room, rather than that we have we have to take and pay them at the reception which later came out in the bill as if we are not guests at the hotel. The room was no better either. There were spider nets in the corner of the ceiling and a bug on the wall. We didn't get housekeeping service on the second day of our stay, therefore the trash stayed until we left and we ran out out of shower gel on the second day. The place where we were supposed to hang our robes to dry was broken. Not enough breakfast food supplied on the first day. Like half an hour prior the breakfast was over most of the food was gone. A woman complained about this and one of the waitresses told her everything will be filled in 5 mins, which didn't happen. So I and I guess other people were left hungry as well. Finally our bill was overcharged we had payed for drinks we didn't order at the summer bar. There is a sign on one of the bills which is not mine. Definitely not recommended.

Reviewed By JeffBJonesWe really enjoyed the staff. Jamal kia was our waitress and was so very kind and sweet. what a hard worker with such a sweet spirit for a 19 year old. My wife was called out for taking a bottle water to the pool area (didn't know that was a no no ... ) but overall a good experience. I personally would have thought the front desk and management could be kinder but overall - i'd certainly stay again!

Reviewed By stilyooEl spa es basicamente inexistente, hay una sauna, un tipo de baño turco y jacuzi para 4 - 6 personas. En la recepcion son muy amables, la piscina caliente de fuera es muy pequeña. El restaurante muy buena comida(solo bulgara). Precios un poco mas de la media en Bulgaria pero barato para Europa.

Reviewed By Adybaby79The food was disgusting (personally I only ate cucumber and tomato at every meal) and the staff is so rude. There is anything to drink at the meals but they "forgot" to say so. You want to drink while you eat? You must buy. We will not come back.

Reviewed By Elena SПо-домашнему уютный апарт отель на 12 номеров. В номерах чисто, тепло. Нет перебоев с горячей водой. Работающая сантехника, плесени нет. Кровать удобная, чистое белье. В номере есть холодильник и электроплита, пара стаканов, кружек, тарелок (кастрюль и сковородок нет). Радушная хозяйка. Завтрак скромный, в домашнем стиле, но все вкусно (вареные яйца или выпечка, йогурт, мюсли, сыр, колбасная нарезка, фрукты). Из минусов только то, что нет трансфера до подъемника (пешком идти минут 15-20 в горку) и отсутствие лифта. Wi-fi ловит только на 1м этаже.

Good budget hotel
Reviewed By Deyan BWe went into this hotel in october. Lucky for us they have a covered hot mineral water swimming pool. The overal experience is good. Food was tasty. Rooms were cleaned. Swimming pool is good if you want only to stay in it, but small if you want to swim. The hotel is a good starting point for a walk in the nature and offers a lot of calm and friendly staff. Must visit

Reviewed By Mauritian_islandgirlThis once grand hotel is now unfortunately falling behind in terms of renovation, services offered and comfort. We arrived as a large group hoping to relax but were told spa and sauna were both closed, only the pool is open. Additionally card payment wasn’t possible, so everything had to be paid in cash upfront. Room was not clean and had to ask for a clean sheets but this was rectified. Having said this, the quality of the food was fine and the staff in the restaurant were very friendly so it’s a shame that the hotel is declining. We were the only guests in the hotel but staff still made us feel welcome and we had hot water and (eventually) clean sheets, so it was fine for a night. What the hotel really needs is an injection of money to renovate and update this once fine hotel.
