My friend moved nearby recently, and we went to the restaurant for a celebratory meal. We both ordered steak, which was delicious but I was disappointed with the portions. The last time I ate steak in a restaurant, it came on a big platter with generous portions of chips and vegetables, so I was expecting a similar experience. The service was very good too, but just not enough!

Very run down inside and out, abnormally hot in the room we had to wet towels to keep us cool as the only fan was broken, the toilet didn’t flush properly, the bath plug was broken, my daughter had to sleep on the mattress on the floor as the bed was broken!

Easy enough to walk in, we sat in the windy but sunny beer "garden", a shame that it's also where the smokers lurk. There's enough simple fare on the menu and it was nice to see two pies on offer. I opted for fish and chips and it was decent. Another had the beef and red wine pie, great veg selection and the meat was especially good. Nice beer selection too.

We offer friendly, personal and unpretentious service, whether you're just in for a quiet pint, planning an intimate dinner, a stop-over for a business trip or staying for a leisurely weekend. If you want to stay in one of our 49 rooms, there are lots of leisurely attractions on our doorstep, we're well-placed for nearby Thorpe Park and you can't find a better overnight stopping off point if you're en route for an early business meeting in London.Welcome to your local. Please be aware that every Friday and Saturday night we have live music for all to enjoy until midnight in our bar area.
Attended a wonderful Birthday Party organised by our host. Great company, Great Band and we knew it would end at Midnight. What we hadn’t accounted for was the extremely rude and aggressive Door Person storming in and barking orders to leave immediately. I could not believe the lack of civility from a person whose job is to keep customers safe. I felt so sorry for the host who was hurried to remove photos and decorations quickly. What should have been a thoroughly memorable night of celebration was spoiled by an arrogant member of the Crowns team treating 60+ year olds like unruly yobs. Some were struggling to get out of the door as the stairs were busy. Please retrain or replace your door staff or I will never return to The Crown. Shameful behaviour by so called Professionals.

We stayed for two nights here when visiting Thorpe Park. They were lovely clean rooms that were re stocked each day with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and soap etc. We found the staff were really friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

The most vile hotel I have ever “stayed” in in my life, we were there for an hour and booked a separate hotel. When we arrived it looked nice., got the the room the mirror was smashed, clean bedding was laid on the bed ready for someone to change which hadn’t been done.do the used bedding was still on, there was poo in the toilet and we found a sex toy under the bed . The shower head had also looked like it had never seen bleach in its life, It Says animals aren’t aloud to stay here, I wouldn’t let any animal stay in that condition, If you want to catch some sort of disease I recommend staying here. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
