When checking in, all our bookings were ready and time was not wasted at the reception. The staff was very friendly and the food was very good, I swear I had the best steak ever and the restaurant was clean together with rooms. Overall I am happy.

Peaconwood is a
The reception was warm. Staff were friendly and helpful. The king room was excellent and comfortable. The Aircon was turned on before we arrived and therefore the room was comfortable and receptive. The vegetarian food we asked for was absolutely wonderful and delicious. Very highly recommended especially for the business traveler.

From the moment you arrive, Darrin and Sharron the owners, make you most welcome. The lodge is an oasis in the middle of the bush. The accommodation is first class, the food is excellent and the nature drives entertaining. There are no large predators on the reserve but there are many other interesting species, including "frankie" the crocodile. After being on safari this was was a excellent place to wind down and just enjoy the peace and tranquility and the large night sky. Thanks again for the Birthday cake.

Phokoje Bush Lodge offers 11 ethnically thatched self-catering chalets (4 and 6 sleepers) and 12 clustered rooms. All rooms have satellite television and are fully air-conditioned. There are also camping facilities available with ablutions and power points. Firewood, ice and boats to hire are also available at an all inclusive rate. Phokoje Bush Lodge provides the ideal environment for team conferences, building, workshops, corporate functions and weddings.
In all honesty the place is a great looking rustic place with beautiful trees and plants, ornamentation and attention to detail. You are surrounded by nature and natural materials, all very welcoming! We had the privilege of staying in the #14 chalet as well as at the camp site with friends. The only annoying things were the mosquitos in their hundreds in the room, if only the cleaning staff could spray the rooms prior to us checking in. Then spray once more after they prep the rooms again. The mosquito net helped but not when you need to exit and enter the room throughout the day. The bar at one stage didn’t have ice for our drinks, and no lemonade for Rock/Malawi Shandy. The English breakfast took 65 minutes to prepare at the restaurant which is far too long when you wake up hungry and look forward to the first meal of the day. I would come back again for sure, however better prepared with insect spray. The Guinea fowl roaming the area are a nice sight but they will wake you very early in the mornings. Again I will visit once more for sure!

Resting atop ancient and awe inspiring cliffs, with the serene Boteti River flowing in front of your tent and zebra, kudu and elephant interacting beyond, Meno a Kwena provides a haven for those after a more authentic safari experience. The bushman walk offered here is also a highlight of many visits for guests of all ages. This fully inclusive camp offers nine fully serviced, en suite Meru tents that hark to halcyon days on safari. A traditional fenced boma partly envelops each of the tents, whilst outside, a bucket shower with a view complete the picture. Away from the rooms there are multiple spots for guests to enjoy alone or spend time with their fellow travellers, be it in the floating photographic hide, in the relaxed lounge area overlooking the river, or at the bar. For those keen to brush up on their knowledge before the next drive there's a library and dining area, for a drop of sun meanwhile the pool area is undeniably tempting. Meno a Kwena is the area's only camp accessible by road, with a two hour transfer to Maun. Transfers are complimentary both to and from Maun airport.
We have spent 3 nights here after a mobile camping safari of 10 nights. The luxury was very welcome! We were not disappointed. I would highly recommend staying here, do take into account to that going to the salt pans, the baobabs or nxai pan will take a lot of time (and is season dependent). I did not mind and enjoyed my rest and relaxation. Special shout out to Segga (I hope I spelled it right) who is an absolute gem. She is a born story teller and we really enjoyed the talks we had with here. She really makes you feel welcome. The safaris were a bit disappointing, but that is totally because we just spent 10 nights in the bush were you see everything. I was a bit put down by our guide to put a toirtoise in such a position that we could better photograph him. I appreciate the effort, but we were just tought during our mobile safari to never do that unless they are in the middle of the road and thus in danger.
