Pretty rundown place No full time power No WiFi in rooms No lift Food not great Bangui is a dangerous place to walk around Do not walk through the market as they will mug you Do not use motorcycle taxis as they might take you through the market unnecessarily so you can be mugged They tried this with me but I escaped without loss This hotel is not worth the price Pay a little more for other one

An amazing, magical place to visit. The wildlife sightings were beyond excellent, I was fortunate to see all the rare animals I hoped to see: pangolin, bongo antelope, forest elephants and buffalo, and even a Sitatunga. Sangha lodge is very well run with a highly trained staff, very good accommodations and food, and attention to detail. Enough hot water and generated electricity to recharge camera batteries. Tam and Rod Cassidy try their very best to accommodate all the guests and their requests. The Cassidy's genuine caring for the animals and environment they protect is evident; they are true conservationists. Tam's love for the animals she rescues and protects is heartfelt, I cannot admire her enough for this. Dzanga Bai and Bai Hokou were truly amazing for the animals found there and their raw beauty. I loved walking up the rivers and through the jungle in an area remote enough that I did not and not see any other tourists. Add to that the gorillas, butterflies, and B'aka Pygmies, and you could not ask for more. Beyond all of this, I especially liked the wild and woolly side to a stay at Sangha. A visit here is not a sanitized safari, there is an edge to it which makes it exciting and unique. Would I go back? In an instant.

The Doli Lodge hotel ( Doli means “elephant” in the Sango language) dated from 1996, and has been entirely renewed and decorated tastefully in 2019 . This hotel complex is found on the wooded banks of the river. It is constructed of wooden buildings, most raised above the ground on stilts. Each bungalow has a wide terrace with a view of the Sangha where you will find all the necessary comforts.
Shout out to Doli Lodge. Their pre-trip coordination was superb! their accommodations were flawless (recently renovated in 2019)! And their staff was super friendly and accommodating! I highly recommend when visiting the Dzanga-Sangha National Park. While visit we participated in a number of their activities such as observing the forest elephants in the Dzanga-Bai along with a group of Cornell University researchers conducting their “elephant listening” research project. Two other day were spent visiting the western lowland gorillas. western lowland gorillas are slightly smaller than the mountain gorillas, with less hair. And yet another day, we were being immersed in the BaAka tribe’s forest culture. The BaAka tribe members demonstrated their method of hunting with nets and collection of medical plants. The village healer identified numerous forests plants uses to cure ailments such as headaches, stomachaches, heart palpitations, fertility, etc., as well as the plants and methods to make the hunting nets. Afterwards the women built a forest shelter followed the entire group demonstrating their dances and songs. At first, as always, I was a little hesitant to participate in this organized activity because there was the potential to be exploitive, but it was the complete opposite. The local group was extremely proud of their traditional lifestyle and very enthusiastic to share it. Their lifestyle is very respectful of the forest. I’m glad I got to witness, even though just a glimpse, of their heritage. I highly recommend staying at Doli Lodge and participating in their organized activities when visiting the Dzanga-Sangha National Park.

Wer hohen Komfort Standard sucht ist hier Fehl am Platz. Es ist jedoch sauber und gepflegt und eignet sich als zwischenstoppstation sehr gut. Von hier aus kann man auch sehr viele Tiere sehen und hören.

Very good hotel, attains even a high European standard! Clean, good restaurant, bar, everything works as it should be. After 6 months in Bangui, I can say that this is the best. Only possible downside is the lack of a pool. But the inner garden is a nice place to have a drink. You will find none like this in Bangui.

Ma chambre était confortable. Elle était bien équipée, télephone, télevision avec plusieurs chaines, muni frigo, climatiseur haut de gamme, table d'etude et coffre fort. par ailleurs une toilette digne de ce nom.

The Hotel Paradis Palace de la Lobaye isn't a palace or anything similar as there is no flushing water and electricity in the rooms. But as you are in Mbaiki (Central African Republic), in the heart of Africa, it should be clear that there aren't such ammenities. However, the accomodation is really clean, no animals like Geckos or whatever in the room. Bed was very comfortable and the price was excellent. For the night you get a petroleum lamp which is enough to have light in the room. In the morning, you get a bucket of hot water to have a shower. Will stay again there if I will return one day to Mbaiki.

the rooms are clean and good-sized but very basic, which is fine, except that the hotel advertises itself as a luxury hotel, which it's not. So it's very expensive for the services offered (I paid 110 USD/night). The location is nice and quiet though and you have electricity and running water round the clock. The wifi works but it's very slow at times However the conference services were not recommendable at all. We organised a workshop and the air-conditioning didn't work and nobody bothered to fix it, even after several requests. The catering is also extremely basic.

I stayed in this hotel from 18 to 20th December during my business in Bangui. The stay was quite alright. The room was big, AC and geyser are working. Wifi speed is reasonable inside the room. There is refrigerator in the room. The ambience inside the hotel is clean. Breakfast is complimentary. Lunch and dinner are very costly.
