Casa Peleyon is a hotel located in the town of Figueres, in Castropol It sits in the old barn of a traditional Asturian work with cabazo, orchard with fruit, bread oven, paved courtyard and a hectare of land. The house is built of stone and has two floors with a large wooden corridor comunes.El and spacious hotel has 6 rooms, all different and outdoors. Some with broker and direct access to the garden. All have bathrooms with hairdryer and welcome products, heating, TV and telephone.
We spent one night at Casa Peleyon and that was my only complaint. I would have loved to stay longer at this very unique and special place which is part hotel, part bed and (exceptional) breakfast and part home away from home! What a lovely experience to find this oasis and drive into the entrance along a beautifully cared-for driveway leading to an exceptionally gorgeous property. The magic starts once you enter and gets better and better during your stay. This beautiful, spotlessly clean house is absolutely charming, an architectural marvel and filled with warmth and character. The beds are comfortable, wrapped in fine monogrammed linens, towels are monogrammed, as well, rooms are spacious, quiet and comfortable. We had a wonderful sleep and could not have been happier walking around the grounds and admiring the gardens with beautiful flowers and trees, landscaped to perfection in a natural way. The magic of this hotel, however, is the owner Angeles. What can I say about this amazing woman that is not an understatement to her gifts? Angeles is the most gracious and perfect host I've ever met in my traveling years. Her talents and powers are simply endless with the utmost attention and care to her guests and to every detail. The best guest of this hotel is an educated guest to appreciate all of the beautiful and fine quality she offers. The breakfast deserves special mention. Home made croissants sit at the top of the list of incredible foods laid out for the choosing. Rarely does one find such perfect croissants accompanied by Tarta de Santiago, artesenal cheeses, eggs, fresh juice, perfect coffee both soft and strong and quite delicious, fresh tomatoes which I loved and a great variety of local foods from nearby and those normally found throughout Spain. The trip is worth making simply for the breakfast alone but to have this incredible atmosphere and tranquil surrounding is simply a rare find. Thank you Angeles. What an exceptional treasure it was to meet you and stay at Casa Peleyon. A person of such enormous kindness, talents and detail. This was a memory that will not fade and I hope to revisit once again!

We stayed at Casa Cachon as part of a trip to Northern Spain organised by Casas Cantabricas. We enjoyed our three night stay for many reasons. Firstly the accommodation in the converted farm buildings has a wonderful mixture of stone and wood, with high ceilings and modern comforts. We had two rooms (one for parents, one for two older children) close to each other, which was perfect for us. Secondly, the food was good. We chose to eat dinner each evening in the on-site restaurant and enjoyed the mixture of meat and sea food dishes prepared for us. Lunch was perfect too, with large sandwiches enjoyed on the cafe terrace. We have enjoyed more lavish breakfasts during our trip, although we were satisfied with a choice of toast, croissant or cakes with fruit and yoghurts. However, what we really enjoyed about Casa Cochon was the relaxed atmosphere and friendly hospitality. It is a family run business and the three grown up children supported us, with our requests for advice about where to go in the local area and by allowing us on their well maintained 9-hole golf course (despite the fact that we are not regular players). We speak (very) limited Spanish, but soon gave up when we heard the English offered to us. We wish them all and Casa Cachon the very best and will recommend this place to family and friends.

Stayed in quite a few Albergues on this epic walk, some of them have been of the highest quality,, but this place tops them all. Superb facilities, comfy beds with sheets, unlike some of the other places. Evening meal whilst very inexpensive was fantastic. You will not regret staying at this place. Avoid going into Ribadeo, stay here instead.

Dinner is good value for money. The restaurant has a small terrace where it’s comfortable to eat (at least when the weather is ok). Otherwise the interor area is a good alternative. Not an extensive menu card, but enough to choose from. The food tastes fine and is not too expensive. Is also a nice location for drinks in the afternoon. The restaurant is located on a 10-15 minutes walking distance from Penrronda beach and has no sea view, which could be the only downside.

La Casa del Burrero is a small country inn located in the Castropol council - Western Asturias -, which is part of the Rio Eo, Oscos and Terras de Buron Biosphere Reserve, declared so by the UNESCO in 2007. It is also the last stage of the Northern Route of Santiago de Compostela Asturias. Among the natural landscapes and scenery in the surroundings, there are several semi-wild beaches such as Penarronda and Arnao, valleys such as Obanza and San Agustin, mountains such as El Pousadourio, and towns such as Castropol and Figueras, conforming a great array of options for leisure and entertainment. Its noteworthy location - very near to Taramundi, Tapia de Carariego, Los Oscos and the Marina Lucense - is ideal for combining cultural and gastronomic routes with adventure sports and different outdoors activities. The house is surrounded by forests of pines, chestnuts trees, oaks and eucalyptus, and it has a 2000 square-metre enclosed garden, where it is possible to enjoy the open air in the middle of nature. There are five double rooms , pets are welcome, and breakfast and dinner are served if requested. Our aim is to provide a relaxing and comfortable time, where you can enjoy and benefit from the pleasures of our extraordinary natural landscape and the leisure options of the surroundings.
Maria's hospitality was welcoming, warm and generous. After a long travel day, we felt blessed to land at a calm, quiet place with such gracious care. We had requested dinner ahead of time, and it was astounding ... as was the breakfast. If you have a car and want to get away from all the tourist noise and glitz, and have a real Asturian experience, this the place.

My wife and I escaped for a few days and stayed here in room 120. The room was perfect with a terrace that looks over the ria - views of Ribadeo and Castropol. The owner (Fina) is adorable. The garden is great and the general atmosphere is tranquil. For lovers of the aesthetically pleasing, this is the place for you. The restaurant - down the hill to the port - has some of the best dishes (try the cheesecake for dessert) has some fantastic fish dishes (selected and cleaned by Fina and her husband). The staff at the hotel do everything they can to make your stay as agreeable as possible. I recommend this hotel highly.
