Very welcoming

My sister and I stayed at Cottage Heights for one night and it was brilliant. I contacted Mary in advance and she booked us in to a local restaurant for dinner. The town is only a ten minute walk. The accommodation is clean, the breakfast was great and all the staff were so friendly. The views from the property are fantastic and there is great parking also. We would definitely stay again.

A lovely 2 night stay in Castletownbere

Reviewed By AoifeC682

We usually stay in another B&B when we come to CTB, but as it was booked out this weekend we stayed in Island View House. The facilities were spotless, Bruno and Dennis were lovely hosts, but the best part was the breakfast. We couldn’t believe the size of the cooked breakfast, two of them fed a family of four. Absolutely excellent food. There was also a buffet of cereals, breads and fruit. Just lovely. We would stay again just for the food (and the pets!)

Lynch's On The Pier

Great spot.value for money

Reviewed By Skipperrianc

Firstly this was better than a lot of hotels I’ve stayed in around the country. 100% spotless clean. Rooms cleaned every morning and bins emptied. I was arriving late so I was given a code for the front door and clear instructions as to how to access my room. Bed was comfortable and the room had tv, hair dryer, facilities for making tea, coffee. Bathroom had plenty of spare towels and again it was spotless. Beautiful view and scenery when you open the curtains in the morning. The restaurant did close at 5pm but there were so many other places to eat it was nice to wander around and try somewhere new each evening. Breakfast was beautiful in the restaurant downstairs and staff were very friendly. Looking at another review where they said no parking well I had no prob in the judge car park across the road. People were just so friendly in Castletownbare and I’d recommend Mc cartys for a pint around the corner. Beautiful scenery on my trip there and cannot wait to get back in the summer months for another visit. Lynch’s your staff are a credit to you, enjoyed my stay. Keep up the great work and thank you again..

Rodeen Country House

10 star review!

Reviewed By Tony_le_Blanc

I stayed here with my sister-in-law. What a great choice! We were met at the door by the wonderful Phillipe and Sophie who welcomed us like old friends and took our bags. To say we immediately at home is an understatement. We felt as if we had our own private concierge in Phillipe and received nothing but 5* treatment for our entire stay. The fire was built up for us each evening, we were given maps of the area as well as great local info on interesting sites. However sitting in the beautiful gardens was just as relaxing. We old girls enjoyed some wine each evening - even this was taken care of by Phillipe who opened and poured for us. Both Vera and I cannot recommend Rodeen more. We have stayed in many B&B's, hotels and guesthouses in Ireland & abroad and this was one of, if not the best service we have received and all for exceptionally good value. Already planning our next visit!

Great location on the Beara Way

Reviewed By nealp510

We stayed in this immaculate bed and breakfast as we were walking the Beara Way from Castletownbere to Garinish. If you are walking the Beara Way, this is a perfect stop for the night as it is located on the route. It is also situated in Castletownbere and it's many restaurants, pubs and shops. Mary is an excellent host and provides a wonderful breakfast experience.
