Went for Sunday lunch which was amazing and despite the power cut half way through the meal it did not spoil the meal in anyway . The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly and welcoming and we will definitely come back again very soon . Hopefully with no power cuts . Totally give it 5 stars

Set in 40 acres of The Peak District National Park, the views are stunning and the welcome from your hosts, Jan & Neil, warm and friendly. We stayed in the main house for two nights and really recommend Rushop Hall. It's a very peaceful location but within easy reach of Castleton. The rooms are spotless and well furnished, with large windows overlooking fields. Breakfast was excellent - lots of variety and very tasty. The hosts are very accommodating and very helpful.

Swiss House is a family run Bed and Breakfast in the heart of Castleton, in the Peak District National Park. Our B&B can sleep up to 20 people in 8 en-suite bedrooms. Our full English breakfast is, so we are told, just 'the best' with lots of local and home-made produce like British bacon, locally made sausage and black pudding (all from the butcher in Hope), and Seville orange marmalade, various jams and granola lovingly made by Martha! This is an ideal base for walking, climbing or sight seeing. We have plenty of off-road parking. Packed lunches are available and we have a drying room if the weather becomes inclement!
We stayed here whilst walking the Limestone way. The room was excellent, really comfortable spacious and clean. The staff were all really helpful and as we were walking 19 miles the following day we wanted to make an early start by leaving at 7am. We knew this would mean leaving before breakfast but the staff were very accommodating and arranged for us to have a packed lunch to take with us as a substitute. Really appreciated them doing that and would definitely stay again!

We stayed for two nights recently and were very, very disappointed in the room. It certainly wasn't as advertised!! On their website it shows lovely decent sized rooms with big beds and walk in showers... we got give a prison cell. No window, just a small skylight, tiny bed which we had to walk sideways to get into as the room was so small. Tripping over our suitcases as there was no room for them anywhere. The bathroom was also tiny with a pathetic electric shower which dribbled water onto your head. I didn't complain as we arrived fairly late as we had a 6 hour journey and a I had a course to attend early the next day, We then just stuck it out for the second night. The plus side was the place was very clean and the food was good and Its a beautiful location. I wouldn't put anyone off staying here but call before booking to ensure you get what one of the rooms they advertise and and not a claustrophobic broom cupboard with no window

We offer rooms on a room only basis as there are a fine selection places where you can get breakfast within the village with its six classic country pubs, five cafes and tea rooms. All within a five minute walk of our front door. We have two fabulous en-suite rooms each with Superking size bed as standard which can be split into two single beds . Room 1 also has plenty of room to accommodate two extra fold down single beds upon request to form a Triple or Family room . Both our rooms have a modern en-suite shower room. The rooms have a refrigerator, an excellent bean to cup coffee machine and high quality teas, hot chocolate and biscuits. High quality linen and towels are provided. We are in the village of Castleton, probably the most visited of the northern Peak Districts villages. Castleton is famous for Peveril Castle,
Stayed here a number of times but first for a while. Excellent accommodation , situated fairly centrally near to pubs etc. I had room 2 at rear which had great views of nearby hills . Alan and partner welcoming and most friendly . Room only now which was disappointing because Alan used to serve up an exceptional cooked breakfast ! Parking could be a problem in peak season as many cars seek to park on roads and parking at rear is also shared by property next door which is rented out by Alan as holiday let. Well recommended and sure I will be back .
