Located in the small village of Carreço, 6 km from Viana do Castelo, the Casa do Nato - Turismo Rural offers accommodation in a renovated old farmhouse. It also features an outdoor pool. With a rustic-style décor, some rooms have wooden beams and others have exposed stone walls. The rooms include a bed in dark wood or wrought iron. All rooms have heating, wardrobe, desk, flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. Start the day with a regional breakfast prepared with the freshest products. You can enjoy other meals, case requested in advance. In addition, you can enjoy a drink while relaxing by the pool or in the game room equipped with pool table and board games. There are 3 living rooms with fireplace and sofas where guests can read a book from the library. Guests wishing to explore the natural surroundings can request a bike the Casa do Nato and explore the nearby beaches, located 1.4 km away. The Carreço Train Station is 1.1 km from the Casa do Nato and walks, with ferry connections to Spain, which is just 18 km away.
We are a family of four, from the UK, with teenage children, and visited in late Aug 2018. The accommodation is nicely located on the edge of Viana do Costello and contains delightful gardens with a pool, plenty of outside seating and the additional benefit of a small annex kitchen for guests to store and prepare their own food (if required). There are two supermarkets 5 mins away, by car and plenty of nice restaurants (we were not ambitious in this regard and so have no recommendations). You are just a 15 min walk from some beautiful, wind swept beaches - 5 mins if you borrow a bike. We took the bikes for an envigorating but highly enjoyable bike ride along the coastal path towards Viana do Costello. The breeze was behind us on the way, but was, more challengingly, in our faces as we returned. Nonetheless the scenery made it worth it. The accommodation was busy whilst we were there, mostly with couples, but never felt in the least bit crowded. Our space / rooms contained two bedrooms, a bathroom and a sitting room and was near to a further comfortable, shared sitting room containing a free pool table. Breakfast was served between 9 - 10.30, with lots of fruit, prepared freshly by the hosts. The hosts were also kind enough to start slightly early when we left, so we had time to make our flight. Porto airport is less than an hour away, by car, along enviously quiet dual carriageways, but when you hire a car you need to factor in the cost of the automatic tolls. You pay the toll charges to the hire car company and, for us, this was a surprising additional 40 Euros (although we did do a fair amount of driving). We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Casa do Nato and recommend it.

Place where a piece of my soul will be for a long time. Literally everybody is welcome in this place. Everything you need is there - a comfortable and very authentic place to sleep, views, ocean in 10 minutes walk, mountains, restauraunt with delicious food nearby, kitchen, horses Branca and Lus, dogs, a cat, and unimaganably warm and welcoming Hugo and Alex. Also, try out surf lessons with salty waters by Pedro, you will definitely not regret it. I came for a night and spent a week there. And I am very far from being alone.

Los apartamentos súper amplios, increiblemente limpios, el lugar es super tranquilo y las vistas al mar un espectáculo. Ana fue super amable y atenta con todo, una anfitriona digna de un hotel 5 estrellas. Sin duda volveremos
