Opened in 2000, the Hotel Riviera is situated in a privileged area very close to Carcavelos Beach - considered to be the best of the various beaches in the area - and centrally located in relation both to Lisbon city and other places of great historic interest such as Cascais and Sintra. Guests can make use of great facilities such as restaurant, bar, tennis court, spa, Turkish bath, sauna and two swimming pools. The shopping center Riviera is adjoined the Hotel, with 63 stores. The International airport of Lisbon is at 28Km.
Excellent Hotel
Reviewed By Martyn PThis is an excellent hotel in a beautiful area of Portugal. The hotel is modern and super clean. Staff are very professional. Rooms are generous in size and several have sea views with balcony. The beautiful sandy beach is less than a ten minute walk away. For those wishing to travel into Lisbon there is a train station close by which will take you directly into the city for just a few Euros. This was a very enjoyable stay topped off by attending a Champion’s League match - Sporting Lisbon 0 Manchester City 5

Very pleasant Stay
Reviewed By SSVVRRDespite all the negative reviews, decided to stay and see it for my self and I’m glad I stayed here. As far as the property goes, ok it is a little outdated: I would say that the A/C units gives the worst impression from the street. They are on each of the balconies for each room and looks and is rather rusty. It will look much better with some simple painting off all units or just all to be boxed in. Internally there are few corners in the lobby which needs a bit of a touch here and there. Nothing else. But other then that - all is rather good actually. Our room on the 6th floor was perfect. Room deco, painting was good. Yes it is a bit outdated , but hey it is still in great condition and it’s not like we are moving in to live here. With an exception of a in room safe ( if need, you have this behind the reception area) the Room has everything you need. It’s bathroom and room is very much so clean and so is the balcony. Beds were very comfortable and the ocean view is amazing. Rooms getting cleaned daily and the maids doing a great job - well done? On that note, towels and linen get changed daily. It would be good for hotel management to fallow suit and do what 80% of other hotels do. Do Not Change the towels and linen daily. Just let the customer decide. Many hotels have a note in the bathroom saying “ please help the environment and re use your towels. If you agree, keep them hanging on the hooks. If you wish us to replace them, please place them inside bath tub” Me and my family, we always use the same towels during our full stay. Same with linen …… why change it daily !! I mean, no one changes their linen at home daily or their towels for that matter. Why do so many people always expect for the hotel to change it ? Helping the environment goes a long way for the future. Restaurant is only open for breakfast and bar is closed. I’m guessing, this is due to massive shortages of staffing that Hospitality industry suffer from. The view from the Restaurant during Bfst is top…. No actually it is amazing. Ref to dining and the bar - there are ample restaurants and bars all over. Closest restaurants and bars, 3 minute walk behind the hotel in the Square…. Sorted Hotel Pool is massive and very clean (gets cleaned every morning) and is top - with 3.75m depth with a jumping board. It does start with 80 cm depth and at the other end it is at 3.75m. Amazing beach (5 min walk across the road), with nice restaurants, few small shops, beach umbrellas, Sandy beach, very clean waters and also daily beach guards on patrol. Now last but the best part, which is the most important for me. The Hotel staff & service: Absolutely amazing. From the maids we meet in the corridors to breakfast staff, to receptionists … etc - Nothing is too much for them. Ready to help and very friendly. Marcus is one of the top guys as you will see him in the restaurant and reception shifts. And he is not the only one. Unfortunately I can’t remember all names, but thank you all. Over all, great place to stay, great location with amazing staff. If my way ever falls this way again, I will for sure stay here.

Very chilled, nice hotel
Reviewed By 220sineadoQuiet secure location, pool area is great and breakfast is ample, good communication from the hotel. The square nearby has some nice bars and restaurants, however when you come out of the hotel and turn onto the first street available(ie turn right) and turn right again walk about 1 minute after that second right and there's a really good Portuguese restaurant that doesn't have a menu other than Portuguese if you translate the menu on Google the cod and or rice with fish were to die for, also half the cost of the square restaurants. Next to that is a cafe - bar open late worth a visit too. Enjoyable stay.

Our house is in a very pleasant residential area (near Carcavelos village), located into a refined and welcoming atmosphere. Combines rustic with some modern details that offers originality, comfort and make it very nice for those who want to feel home.The peaceful garden and the heated outdoor swimming pool gives a very special and inviting surroundings for an unforgettable stay.

Reviewed By ShavlickI landed in Carcavelos, cause my friends were staying there already and I had a very positive experience. Sleeping area was clean, as were the bathing facilities. An indoor pool was complimenting the hot sunny weather, so you can chill by the pool, if you're lazy to walk to the ocean. In the evening we had a marvelous bbq session. Space, sunny spots, place to chill: all of this is about Carcavelos. Thank you, guys

Reviewed By worldwidewavesWe stayed at Julia's for one week. She couldn't have been more helpful. Her and her husband drove us around the small town pointing out the supermarkets, restaurants trains etc. All I have to say in walking distance to our little cottage. The accommodation couldn't be better situated and has everything you need for your stay. It is set in a courtyard. Lisbon and beautiful beaches are a short train journey away. There is also a beach within walking distance. I highly recommend this place for a holiday. Great host great location great accommodation. She even stopped by in the week with a bottle of fabulous wine. Thanks Julia. It was our honeymoon. So it was special. We will definitely return

As camas são super confortáveis. Tem máquina de café expresso e todos os electrodomésticos necessários para uma excelente estadia. A máquina da louça e da roupa funcionam lindamente e o anfitrião faculta o detergente.

We left the room 15 min after checking because was dirty, dangerous and unsafe for children and us, the bunkbed didnt have the minimun safety requirements In the place teenagers was smoking marihuana without any control. I had complained to refund ny money and the owner tell us yes and never money back. He is laughing us all the time. I had to look and pay in another place. Definitely this place ruined our holidays. Maybe could be a good place to be as a teenager but not for a family with kids No recomended.
