The Gannet Inn offers boutique bedrooms with a comfy restaurant and bar area, near St Ives in Cornwall. The quirky building accommodates a range of gorgeous stylish and unique rooms. If you're a Hungry Gannet, the restaurant offers hearty home-cooked dishes, and for Thirsty Gannets, has a range of specially selected wines and local ales served with traditional Cornish hospitality. Each room has its own unique identity and feel, with bold décor and signature interiors. Rooms vary from 'Cosy', 'Quirky', 'Family' or the 'Spot the Gannet' rooms with stunning sea views. Try the 'Oystercatcher', 'Chough' or 'Kittawake' rooms and find your favourite! With unusual prints and cool coastal hues, the rooms are designed to be a home-from-home, where Sleepy Gannets can relax and enjoy a peaceful night's sleep after a busy day exploring Cornwall.
We had the pleasure of five nights at the Gannet Inn for our honeymoon. It is well located in Carbis Bay for trips to the beach, St Ives and other amenities. The welcome we received was very warm. Special thanks to Helen for your recommendations and Ryan at breakfast times. Our room, Kittiwake, was on the top floor and had a lovely sea view. We were able to take advantage of the offer to spend half a day at the nearby Carbis Bay Hotel and Spa, overlooking the beach. I would recommend guests with mobility issues research the transport options as the hill back to the inn from the beach is very steep! Overall we loved our stay and will come back again. Thank you all!

We decided to pop in here for a quick drink whilst in Carbis Bay. We went to the first bar and were told to go to the other one as they were fully booked - it was midday and pretty empty but fair enough. We went to the other bar which was empty except for one table but we were told that we could only sit inside if we were eating. We said this was fine so ordered our drinks and sat outside, but shortly after a man came and asked us to move as the table was apparently not part the bar, despite being directly outside it. All the other tables had ‘reserved’ signs on so we asked where we could sit, we were directed back up to the original bar we had asked to sit at and told to sit on the deck chairs outside. Within 30 seconds of sitting down someone came out and advised these chairs weren’t for sitting on and we had to move! It was mortifying and we just wanted to leave but unfortunately had already paid £18 for two glasses of wine so had to drink them standing up!

We stayed at Headland House for two nights, and from our arrival to departure we were continuously taken aback by the brill hospitality! Mark is an excellent host, taking the time to speak to us and give us advice on our travels! He was so accommodating and kind, a genuinely lovely person! Breakfast was delicious and they were happy to make amendments for me (vegetarian), the room was cosy and fully equipped with everything we needed (including a daily delivery of freshly baked goods), the location is great (2 minute walk to train station which was great as driving around central St Ives isn’t something we wanted to attempt), our room had a beautiful view of the water too. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else when visiting St Ives! 10/10 would recommend.

Offering great value for money in a great location! The bed & breakfast has recently undergone an upgrade to create a lovely Cornish treat. We offer a continental buffet breakfast, WI-FI, sea views, parking and a range of rooms including family rooms. We do have a garden and there is a park on across the road from us. St Ives town centre only a 5 minute bus trip away or a 30 minute walk or a slightly longer, but very attractive coastal path. A short walk down the hill and you are on the stunning Carbis Bay beach. We are also within easy access of the train station and the nearest bus stop is just across the road. We are delighted to inform you that the bed & breakfast came into new ownership in early 2013.
Sadly, we were only in the area for one solitary night. We had a recommendation to stay with Adrian at The Green Apple B&B - and we were not disappointed. Great location. Extremely clean & well presented. Smashing breakfast Attentive host Great value Can't wait until we can visit again, but for much longer next time Thanks Adrian Jim & Betty

This B & B is tasteful, beautifully clean, with delightful and high quality furnishings and decor throughout. We stayed in Room 2 which had a superking bed that was incredibly comfortable and beautiful walk-in shower. Landlady Sharon was friendly and helpful, as indeed was Phil. Breakfast was delicious, beautifully cooked and presented by a very friendly and attractive young lady. From the experience we had, I have no hesitation in recommending this B & B. We will certainly book in again when next visiting the area.

Arrived in Carbis Bay for our stay. Couldn't find the place so rang up, said she didn't have a booking 8n my name and was closed for refurbishment. I booked and paid 8n full June 2021. It was 4pm and getting dark we had travelled 8 hours by train (I had a some point notified her our arrival time!) All she could do was offer us a refund. Not a big help when sat on a roadside seat on a Friday and needing somewhere to stay. Eventually my son in law who was at home searched the Internet and found us something. She needs a course in hotel management ASAP.
